In the bathroom, there is a what I construed as a night light! Very handy! Bed was very comfortable, and the parking lot encircles the whole hotel, so there's ample spaces for everyone plus good lighting! A wheeled luggage cart is available. We found the front desk is not always manned but they do come out eventually so there must be a webcam somewhere to advise them of a guest needing assistance. Hotel located very close to the highway, shops and eateries, plus the downtown area. The morning breakfast is done at 9am, consisting of self-made small or a larger waffle sizes, plus two types of syrup, along with sausages, and more. The room was very clean, and room cleaning is by request. We booked this hotel due to its proximity to Watkins Glen SP and the Arcade, NY vintage railroad. The shower was very nice with good water pressure. Th wife noticed there was no hair shampoo and I thought that was probably due to people bringing their own.....

We have stayed at other Microtels in the past and our golden retriever has always loved lying on the window seat so I was thrilled to see that this room had one as well. I really appreciate being able to open the windows instead of using the air conditioning. We appreciated the toiletries in the shower and bathroom. The staff was very nice (except for 1 little incident with the man who checked us in, he told me that my card hadn't gone through and argued with me when I told him that I had proof on my bank statement. Clearly he was wrong because he handed me the keys anyways). The breakfast options were very nice, hubby really enjoyed the french toast and Ilike the egg and sausage croissant and we even gave our pup one of the omelets. There truly were so many great options offered and the breakfast area was always neat and clean and well stocked. I love that there was an area for us to take our pup to use the bathroom and also that there were so many restaurant options all around us that we could even walk to. Our room was very quiet and the bed was comfortable and I appreciated the extra blanket in the closet. Microtel has become our very favorite place to stay and we are already looking forward to returning in the fall. Highly recommend this place.

Others have commented on how dated the place is. Who cares? I'm not to complain about a two inch rip in the carpet. We slept well and everything was clean! You even get the convenience of being right next door to a grocery store and auto parts store (I needed a new windshield wiper so that was awesome!) If you stay here you're about 37 minutes from Watkins Glen, a must-see state park featuring waterfalls that you can walk under. We had a great vacation. We were only there for one night, but it fulfilled our every need.

He apologized but did not take responsibility for the "room invasion" even though it was the desk who gave out the additional key to our room.!!! Ps-Besides this happening, the bathroom door didn't close and they only give you 1 towel and 1 face cloth for a double room. Pss-it is a 3 story hotel without an elevator! There was no grime or mold and the linens were spot free. The girl at the front desk was so kind. No inebriated people hanging out in the parking lot or common areas. Heating situation wasn't ideal, and the shower never completely heated up either. But when you're booking a room at this price point you must expect something to be a little off. If your priority is a clean and safe living space, you've found your spot.

Clean, private showers with well kept bathrooms. Whereas the bathrooms on the general tent side of the campground were a bit more rundown. Either way, my family LOVED this campground.
