We stayed here for a week during our road trip lesiure trip. Also an onbvious choice if you are traveling with pets. Great location if you want a good urban/rural mix of places to visit. We had a suite and really enjoyed the extra space. Nice quiet place that really get humming over the weekend with family w/ kids guests. The breakfast area is reasonable with nice indoor/outdoor table settings. Servers were friendly and kept the breakfast buffett lines humming with timely attention. The properly itself is a bit dated and could use some freshening up. Ample parking. read more

I was at this location to tour the Corning glass museum and go on some walking trails. It served my purpose well. I will say that the pool had a very sharp broken ladder and the hot tub jets didn't work. Those are the only things keeping it from a 5 star experience. The happy hour snacks were good and so was breakfast. The hotel room was the perfect size with everything we needed in the kitchen. The bed was comfortable. The location was perfect. Very pleasant stay. We will likely return. Pros: Smooth check-in. Front desk personnel were courteous and professional. Great location near the highway and within walking distance to the Corning Museum of Glass. Nice bathtub for guests to relax. Relatively quiet stay. Impressive hot breakfast, which included gourmet coffee, scrambled eggs, bodacious bacon, fine syrups, and homemade waffles. Cons: Housekeeping is not entirely thorough. There were a few hairs in the bathtub and a small potato chip under the bed upon entering. No complementary bottled water for guests. One of the two lamps was not working in the bedroom. I informed the front desk, and a note was written for maintenance to fix it the following day. Although our hallway (third floor) smelled a bit like wet dog (pet-friendly hotel), it was a pleasant stay overall and we will likely return. read more

Sales manager Courtney and Delana at the front desk were incredible accommodating when we decided last minute to stay an extra night! The hotel was clean and breakfast was great. The gentlemen stocking the breakfast bar were working hard and keeping all of the food items stocked and the areas clean. The pool and hot tub were an added bonus. Would recommend. read more

This place is huge - it was like circling through a maze to get to our room. However, my family enjoyed our stay here for the weekend. We enjoyed our 2-bed suite with a kitchen & stove, and although we didn't cook we made use of the fridge for cold drinks and food after shopping at Wegmans (about a 10 minutes drive from here). There's two TVs and the one outside the bedroom is attached to a DVD player - you can borrow dvds from the front desk. Some other awesome highlights: + clean, and staff was very friendly + plenty of space and storage in the suite + plenty of parking spaces + swimming pool (we didn't use but it's there on the first floor) + includes breakfast in the morning (standard chain food) A few reasons for knocking off a star even though we liked the suite: - noisy vent and the heat setting did not work. I turned it up to 75 but it was blowing cold air throughout the night (thank goodness for warmer weather in what still feels like a winter season!) - the bathroom is in the bedroom area so if you're trying to use it without waking up the rest of your group good luck! read more

It's not bad but far from great. Booked a 2 bedroom suite for our family stay and was expecting a little better service but first things first. The hotel is well maintained and clean with rooms nice and spacious and 2 bedroom suite has a kitchen I am guessing for the long term stays. Now that's where our problems began. The room was by the elevator so I was expecting some noises from the hydraulic elevator moving up and down but I wasn't expecting this from the AC unit. Basically when you set a temperature I was expecting the AC unit to get the rooms to the temperature set and then maintain it there. It didn't do that it would turn on for a few seconds try to heat it up and put turn back off. The biggest problem with that unit is not the way it operates but that it is located in one of the bedrooms and it is noisy! I mean a lot. Second problem came around 11:30pm when the kids in the room next to ours were playing something yelling at the top of their lungs and not only that but also banging on the wall, so I tried to call the front desk because I have serious doubt that the kids are able to get a room alone, but to my surprise noone was there and noone answered the phone for either front desk or housekeeping. I mean generally the hotels are supposed to be staffed 24/7 or at least have someone on call but that's not the case my wife was down by the front desk for something else and saw a notice to call "0" if noone is there, but what's the use if noone answers. When she came back she saw a neighbor from the other side of the same room banging on the door asking the kids to pipe down. read more

We'll stay here again when we come back to Corning. This place is a bit of a maze to navigate and the desk person incorrectly told us we'd be closest to our room if we parked near a certain door. Breakfast choices were a bit on the thin side and if they put sweetened yogurt next to the salsa and shredded cheese, it should be labeled! But those are all very minor issues. The queen room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. The shower was fairly powerful. We rarely heard hallway sounds. Check-in and -out was easy. The workers we encountered were friendly. The TV controls were pretty intuitive - and we'd never checked out DVDs from a hotel before, but that was a nice choice. It is an easy walk to the Glass Museum, which is why we picked Staybridge in the first place. read more

We just popped in, did not make a reservation. The parking lots were only half full and it looked like a nice, clean place. We received a small discount because we had AAA. I asked for a room on the second floor and was told they would see what they could do. We received a room on the 2nd floor but what I didn't understand is WHY they would give us a room next to the extremely noisy elevator? In my opinion, that should be the LAST room to give out when you are totally booked. We did not ask to change rooms because we were exhausted but the noise did wake me up a few times. Also, we specifically asked where the ice machine was and was told the refrigerator in the room makes ice. It pushed out a few ice cubes and stopped working. The desk staff was nice enough to give me a bag of ice. The next morning, we had the breakfast, which was very good. I had the eggs florentine and the round sausage patties. When we checked out, I asked WHY would they give a room next to the elevator. I received an insincere, well-rehearsed apology, but nothing else. I would stay there again because it's the best hotel in the area but I'd definitely be more selective of the location and condition of room I received. read more

This place is lovely. The staff,especially Amy, is welcoming ,pleasant and knowledgeable. The rooms--all suites- were large yet cozy with a full kitchen, large bath and comfortable beds. There is a lovely outdoor garden/breakfast room. I only wish I had known about this place earlier. We stayed in Corning partially to see the Corning Museum of Glass and this hotel is right next door! And it is pet friendly! Amy went out of her way to assure us a first floor room because of this. read more

I normally don't put my hotel reviews on Yelp, but I felt compelled to write a review of this hotel lest someone happens upon the one review of it that is here on Yelp. First of all, have you seen how fast roaches move? There is no way in hell that you could wake up from a deep sleep, notice a roach on your arm, and in the dark, "coax" it into a water bottle. Either the reviewer is making up this story or he did not indeed find a cockroach. That being said, on to my own review: Pros: Having a full-sized fridge, range, and microwave is definitely worth the extra bucks. The staff were all very helpful. There's a small shop selling snacks and some drug store items that is open all night long. The free wifi is reliable. The shower is great. Cons: The bed was in horrible need of being replaced. The pillows were also pretty abysmal. read more

Wow! We had an amazing time staying at this hotel..such a family friendly atmosphere. We brought our two children and dog and they were very accommodating. The breakfast was delicious, the pool and jacuzzi made my children days, and they had a wonderful happy hour time for my husband and I to have a drink and review our day without being to far from the children..I would recommend this place to anyone read more

This is a fantastic hotel located very close to the Corning Museum of Glass. We had a nice-sized room complete with a kitchen with a full-sized fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher (!) and all the dishes, utensils, pots. We only used the coffee maker and the microwave ('cause they provided us with microwave popcorn!). Loved the shower! The only thing I didn't like was the pillow-topped mattress because it was too soft for me. We also enjoyed the free, hot breakfast buffet. They also provide a 24 hr laundry, 24 hr exercise room, an indoor pool and a patio area. This is also a pet-friendly hotel. We loved this place and would definitely stay here again if we are in the Corning area again. read more

THIS PROPERTY HAS BUGS!!! One of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Stayed over Superbowl weekend, woke up Monday morning to bugs crawling on the maintenance door wall. After bringing it up to front desk(after quickly packing and getting out of dodge) I was basically ushered out of the building and told to shut up. Then I called the corporate guest relations number and was called back a few hours later to get told "the room was inspected and no bugs were found" as if it is not a huge building and bugs don't move once they hear commotion. So I have essentially been called a liar when all I was simply trying to do was raise awareness that after recent remodeling their website says they had, that some critters may have gotten in. Instead I have been met with hostility and called a liar. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy let alone my friends. Spend a couple extra bucks and stay at the Hilton a block away or hell, save a couple bucks and stay at the quality inn a couple blocks away, both would be better options. read more

Stayed there a few times when I was working in Corning. The last time I awoke in the middle of the night when I felt something crawling on my arm. Cockroach. I pushed it into an empty water bottle and brought it to the front desk in the morning. The gal behind the desk claimed it was a stinkbug, but as a 40+ year Manhattan resident, this man knows a roach when he sees one. Kind of a vague apology, at best. The next day, I came back late, and saw two more when I turned on the light. Needless to say, last stay here for me. Place is getting a reputation as a "party" hotel is what I hear from others who work with me, and it's driving away the business people. I stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Elmira now, and it's much better. Suggest you do the same. read more

When staying on the weekends, we found that getting to the Continental Breakfast right when it opens is pleasant. We find a table easily and it's quiet. There is always someone on hand to make sure the food is stocked. We have not had a poor showing of breakfast during any of our stays. read more

First of all I will tell you that I do not believe there was a cockroach in the room. I have been staying at the Staybridge for over 2 months and my room has been kept to impeccable standards by our cleaner Kelly. We are greeted most mornings by Joanne at breakfast and she treats us like family. Kent and the front desk staff are amazing and have gone WAY out of their way for us. I am a frequent traveler and have not found a more kind and caring staff at any hotel I have ever stayed at. The best parts of staying at the Staybridge is the room size, having a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher. the pool is great, the outside courtyard has several BBQ grills and chaises to sun yourself along with several tables for outdoor dining. They also offer free laundry which is a god send and they allow pets and try to accommodate you by putting you on the first floor. We were put in room 102, right next to an outside door and it made taking the dogs out several times a day much easier. In short, this is a great hotel with a staff that will go out of their way for you. What more can you ask for? read more

Our family from all over the country came into town for my grandmother's Memorial Service and wanted a place we could all stay together. This place was perfect, indoor pool, basketball court, huge great room that we hung out in all evening and a great breakfast before the service! We really had a fantastic stay here! Check in was a breeze, and there are plenty of entrances to make getting to your room easy. Room was very clean and organized. We had a full kitchen, big fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishes, microwave, 2 burners with pots to cook, microwave pyrex... tons of space, many lamps. 2 flat screen tvs with a great channel selection. We had a room with a pull out couch as well, though im a weirdo and just slept on tbe couch. Breakfast is free and changes day to day. Usually eggs of some sort, meat, fresh and sliced fruit, cottage cheese, yougurt, fresh waffles, cereal, oatmeal, pastrys (get the oatmeal cake!!) And salsa and cheese. Some weeknights there is a social hour (aka free dinner) with some reallly tasty items (salad usually with something fun like pizza, sliders, quesadillas, hamburgers etc) free wine and beer as well. Coffee and tea available at all times, and a pantry with items you may have forgotten but also awesome treats and beverages! Even wine! There is a laundry and fitness room, really good pool and spa with jets as well as a basket ball court, library and business center room. We really enjoyed the food and we had a room super close to the dining area. The pool was a bit if a walk, however its way faster to cut through the courtyard (bring your key!!) They have fresh cookies at the desk in the afternoons, I don't even like sweets, but the cookies are like crack. Not sure who makes them or if they are just tube dough but keep doing what you are doing. (Try the strawberries from breakfast with the cookies...) This place can easily feel like home with how comfortable it is. So close to corning and the finger lakes, its a no brainer. read more

Great place. nice sized room and was pleased with breakfast. I hate having to walk far with my suitcase and work gear and was quickly able to slide into my room using my priority card reservation. The store attached to the room was a bit pricy but saved me from making a trip out just for some late night ice cream. Great place to stay with many amenities and lovely people all around, except this one manager...So far She has made us very uncomfortable during our stay... I'm assuming this manager is in charge of the housekeeping? I heard one of the workers call her Kim I think... Regardless, this lady swears in front of us guests, calls her workers stupid & disrespects them, no matter whose around. She speaks as if she never finished school and is not knowledgeable on the area or the hotels going ons... We have even seen girls crying around corners after she's walked away, and we have overheard plenty of the workers complaining, even from different departments. She even fired our favorite housekeeper! That housekeeper was the only girl who really listened to our wishes! She even knew our first names and left the children's stuff arranged in adorable ways in the beds, none of the others care enough to do that. It's a shame that such a nice hotel let's someone so unappealing and unprofessional manage others. read more

This hotel is great for families. It is very close to the Corning museum of glass. Practically next door. Free breakfast every day. There were a lot of choices too. It had a large pool and hot tub. The rooms were clean and the kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. I will definitely stay at a Staybridge suites again. Very roomy accommodations. We stayed in a two room suite. There were two bedroom. One with two full size beds and the other with one. Each room had its own bathroom which I didn't realize was the case until we got there. There was a living room area with a couch (that was a pull out bed) and chair. Also, a dining table and chairs and a small kitchenette with a dishwasher and full sized fridge. My only complaint was that the ice maker in the freezer did not work and there was no ice machine. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. It was not a 5 star hotel but I wouldn't hesitate to stay in another Staybridge suites again. Great for families! read more
