The Fairfield Inn was a wonderful place to stay for an extended weekend near to the Fingerlakes. Located just off the highway, this location is very easy to find. Plentiful lighted parking surrounds the building. The entryway includes a check in desk, breakfast area, coffee and tea set up, ice machine, and small store with snacks and toiletries. Despite arrival at a very late hour, the front desk staff person was very friendly, chipper, and processed our keys in no time. We stayed on the second floor out of three in a very spacious room. The bed was very comfortable and clean and came with lots of pillows. Big, flat screen television, refrigerator, microwave, desk, arm chair, and a desk chair make up some of the amenities of the space. There is a pool on the premises as well but I did not have the opportunity to partake. The hot continental breakfast did the trick each morning. Cereal (cold and hot), eggs, sausages, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, various breads, and fruits. The hotel was very quiet, staff were friendly, and I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. Couple of gas stations nearby, a Wendy's and a Bob Evans. read more

The breakfast was gross which included warm water that was supposed to be cold, the waffles were dry like paint, and the coffee tasted like water mud. There was poop stains in the toilet. The beds were like sleeping on a rock. Most positive thing was the staff was nice and how do you get out of this? the room was clean. read more

We only stayed one night but it was a great little stop on the way to Toronto. Clean and nicely appointed rooms. Pleasant service. Good price. And really nice breakfast included for the price. We didn't hit the pool or gym but they looked good. Really good spot for a visit to Corning or pit stop on the way north. read more

Stayed here for one night after visiting the Corning Museum of Glass. My 2 basic requirements for a hotel are a comfortable bed and quiet room. I'm a very light sleeper. The bed was actually very comfortable. But unfortunately our room was not very quiet. The room was on the 2nd floor very close to the main entrance. I actually thought at one point that the window was open because I could hear people clearly talking outside. The room was clean and the bathroom was pretty modern. The front desk employee was super friendly and helpful. Wish i could remember her name. Unfortunately the noise is the thing that brings the rating down. It was an ok place to stay for a night but dont know if I'll be returning. A different room location could have possibly helped, though not sure. 2022-55 read more

Fairfield Inn is not a fancy hotel. Most of the time when I travel, I am out sightseeing during the day. All I need is a clean room and a nice shower. The room is not very big, but it has plenty of outlets for electronics. The hotel was renovated about one and a half years ago so the room is in very good condition. Breakfast is included and it is fairly good. It has a few hot items. Location is convenient. Wendy's, Bob Evans and a buffet place are all walking distance. Corning Museum is a short drive away. The hotel is next to highway 86 and our room faces the back. It is on the noisy side. The staff is friendly and helpful. So there is no deduction for the noise level. read more

Don't expect this to be a luxury Marriott, but for location it's clean, quiet and well run. I was greeted immediately by the front desk professional who was pleasant and welcoming. I was given my welcome bag with water and snacks. The room was clean, had a fridge and microwave. Wifi worked well, free parking and the breakfast was better than I would have thought. They even had gluten free muffins! And they weren't the terrible Udis brand. Again, price was on point, service was pleasant, it's located close to DT Corning ( within 2-3 miles) and there are other stores, gas station etc right near it. read more

When we drove up, I must admit, we were worried! But our room was beautiful! King sized bed, beautiful linens. Remodeled bathroom shower. Continental breakfast was ample. Yogurt, cereals, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, toppings, bagels, toast & English muffins. 24 hour coffee served in the lobby. Large eating area. Definitely recommend a stay here! read more

I would stay here again. I stayed a single night in a double queen bed room on the second floor. The establishment was clean and well taken care of. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were consistent with the rest of the building and property. The beds were the best part of the room. So comfortable, soft and clean. The continental breakfast was on par for this hotel. They served scrambled eggs, several meats, cereal, fresh fruit and coffee. When the food was running low some disgruntled guests asked a cook if she was going to resupply the food. With a smile and genuine joy she said she was working on it and apologized for the delay. (There was a mad rush of guests to the breakfast and the food was quickly eaten up so the cook had no way of knowing it would happened). I was a little disappointed in the availability of parking spots. I pulled in at around 11pm and got the last parking spot. read more

Don't normally rate hotels. Marriott chain generally know what you're going to get at each kind/brand of hotel. Do not stay here when it rains. Apparently there is a sewage treatment plant nearby and when it rains you know it with every fiber of your nose. Saving grace was room did not smell like the lobby/first floor. Surprised there was only 1 ice machine in the whole hotel on 1st floor near reception. Standard Marriott breakfast. May have been trimmed back a bit for COVID. Window a/c heating unit. Hate them. They're loud and never work quite right. This one definitely "ran warm". Never set something to 65 or below to keep room cool. Alternative is continuous fan which had the room freezing in 5 min. Tho wish had this TV. It's huge. read more

Very mediocre place to stay! The rooms are small. It looks like they tried to update this place, but did a poor job! The staff is strange and unhelpful. The indoor pool was cold and so was the room the pool was in. I asked to make it warmer. He told me they would have Maintenace do it tomorrow morning, the next day same thing. All they can say is I'm sorry. Well that doesn't make my 10 year old that was looking forward to swimming g with her family happy. Pool area is dirty. And the same dirt was there two nights in a row! I would pick the one in Elmira or go to Hampton Inn I stead. I almost forgot the dripping water inside the window pane of the room. I will be writing corporate. read more

Very disappointed. I slept there one night during Labor Day weekend and the place hygiene was terrible. Dirty elevators, lobby, main entrance. Stay away from this hotel during COVID-19. My bathroom tub will not drain and I called the front desk for maintenance, there was no maintenance person available, no supervisor to assist. The front desk clerk very politely and embarrassed told me she was the only staff in the building. read more

Small hotel. Close to the Corning Museum of Glass, which was our destination. I used the app to check in and got a notification when our room was ready. The room was clean. Plenty of towels for four people! The water in the shower was hot with good pressure. Small but adequate workout room. Small pool but good for kids to burn off energy. I'd imagine it easily getting over full on weekends or holidays though. No hot tub here which is a negative for us. There is cold water, decent coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby as well as coffee in the rooms. Our room also had a mini fridge and microwave - good for reheating leftover pizza! The front desk also had cookies and a few other snacks out last night. My kids took full advantage of this! Breakfast area is clean and well stocked. Make your own waffles etc. They do provide paper plates and utensils which isn't great for the environment. Overall we'd stay here again if in the area. read more

My room was clean w comfy beds! Bathroom was small but the shower has strong flow and drains well. AC filters and grill clean and worked wonderfully. Complimentary breakfast, scrambled eggs a little on the salty side, breakfast nook somewhat cramped. Not the best coffee but hey, it's free and free newspapers as well. On the down side the room fridge barely worked and we didn't use the indoor pool because it needs to be cleaned. See pics. read more

The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was helpful and friendly. This is an okay hotel if you don't expect extras. This hotel was selected because it had an indoor pool. However when we checked in , found out the pool was closed for repair. Advance notice would have been appreciated. Tv service leaves a lot to be desired. There is no guide to view upcoming programming. Info button does not tell what the current show is. Hard to find something to watch. Breakfast had a good variety. Maggie is the nicest person on the planet. She is so welcoming and kind and explained everything for our stay. 100% would stay here again. Highly recommend!!! The rooms are set up with everything you need - coffee machine, fridge, microwave, you name it - they've got it. Small town place to stay. The rooms are spacious but the parking lot can fill up. We were greeted by the world's friendliest hotel desk person. Her was able to provide suggestions, directions, and even asked how our night out was upon our return. I do wish some of his enthusiasm had spread to his coworkers who were less than charismatic. The breakfast was very good for being included in the room rate. We had some issues with noise, the fridge, and the shower but overall positive experience.
