Completely inattentive. After I checked in no one would answer the phone. Tv was incredibly substandard. This place has sure gone downhill. Avoid it read more

The lobby and bar areas were great. The rooms were very dated and the bathroom was bad. The toilet didn't flush correctly

Nice but expensive hotel, nice restaurant, and is dog friendly for another $65.00. Lots of place to shop and eat walking distance from it. Lot of things to do in the area. Staff was friendly. Has a pool and hot tub. Nice outside patio to eat and has propane heaters. The is also a dog menu with three items on it read more

The bar in here is pretty cool. Only 2 TVs but nice for dates and a night with friends who like to convo.

I have stayed in a lot nicer hotels than this Radisson . First had to pay $150.00 a night for a room. Lumpy king size bed, only a shower in the bathroom. Also I was sure when I booked this room breakfast was included, only to be told on check in by staff breakfast was not included anymore but can be purchased. Even the cheapest motels give you some kind of breakfast. The bathroom is in poor condition, walls have chips in them, shower floor is all cracked and the rain shower dribbles down on top of your head. No water pressure at all. We booked for two nights and at this time we are planning to leave after one night. On the plus side the public areas are beautiful . read more

Don't stay here. The worse stay. Booked for 2 nights left on day 1. We rather loose the money than to spend another night there. No hot water in the morning, shower faucet not working properly, toilet paper holder broken. Everything in the room is old. Needs to close down and get totally redone. Waste of money. read more

Stayed for a while in August during The Wine Bloggers Conference. They could not have picked better accommodations and I would absolutely stay here if back in the area. Our room was well appointed, big enough, and despite being the first one closest to the elevator, incredibly quiet! The bar was quick to serve and the food pretty decent for bar food. The breakfast buffet (continental breakfast, really) had good choices and we enjoyed it every day. What really sets this hotel apart from other large chain hotels, though, is the staff. Every person we came into contact with seemed to be happy, and like they actually enjoyed what they were doing. Understanding that I was there for a conference one morning the hostess/waitress at breakfast packed up my meal so I could take it with me! Everyone was kind, smiling, and helpful. And the cleaning staff was beyond skilled. I filled out a survey for the hotel after the conference and they wrote to thank me and to acknowledge my one complaint (which had nothing to do with the hotel itself but was a conference issue). I appreciate a company that doesn't just ask for feedback but also takes the time, obviously, to read it. I plan on running the wineglass half next year and will likely stay here. Also if I'm back in town for a wine weekend - since it's accessible to so many of the Finger Lakes and their delicious, delicious wineries. read more

Dirty, stinky place. Perfect location and that is all they have going for them. The rooms smell like musty old smoking rooms, not healthy! The doors stick and are almost impossible to get in and out , not handicapped friendly. The parking is not adequate, to tight, like a driving course. Love Market St., but no other walking distance places to stay, its really too bad. If the hotel was nice, we'd go back. Probably never will the way things stand now. read more

In town for reunion, and have never stayed in Corning, NY. Read the reviews and decided on the Radisson for a two night stay. Oops. Where to begin...the front desk did not know how to direct me to my reunion venue. (Just down the main road about 3 miles.) Check in was quick. Booked on Hotels.com, and did not really get any sort of price break on the stay. But the room left a bit to be desired. The cover to the air conditioner unit was broken. There were broken yet repaired tiles ( with mold) at the bottom inside edge corners of the tub, and the tub had a fresh pea sized chip on the bottom. Some guy knocked on the door to "check the report of a clogged drain". And then he came back in 15 minutes...hmmmm. And we could not determine, nor could he, the first time and only time we let him in, that there was ever any problem. Why assign this room if there is a reported problem? The next day we went to breakfast and when we returned, the entire hallway was littered with dirty bath towels from all the rooms. ON THE CARPET. Outside of all the rooms. EWWWW! Never heard of this practice. The entry is nice, and the bar was fine, but I will not return here to stay. Not up to Radisson standards. Or mine. read more

Supposed to be a non smoking hotel and I literally couldn't breathe from the smoke coming from next door. Called to complain to the front desk and they said they would gladly move me. All my things are unpacked, stuff everywhere, it's 10:30 PM and I'm in a non smoking hotel / and I have to move? How about enforcing your policies? Next option was they would send someone when they can? When is that? I will never stay here again. We are building a plant not far away and this could have been a good business relationship, but we will not be staying here in the future. Better hotels around that actually enforce their policies. Try the Hilton Garden Inn in Horseheads or Hampton Inn. read more

I stayed here two nights for a wedding and was pleased with both the lodgings and the event services. The pictures of the rooms on here don't look like what we had at all, so it seems that the hotel is slowly redecorating. I was asked when we booked if we wanted a standard room or an "upgraded" room. We upgraded and it was pretty nice, with new furniture and flatscreen TV. We were excited for the sleep number beds (!) but couldn't figure out how to get them to work. Maybe they weren't plugged in? I didn't care enough to bother the front desk but it would have been a nice amenity. The service was uniformly excellent. Check-in was easy, and the bride had left gift bags, which the desk staff offered to place in the room for us. The housekeeping staff were good humored and attentive. The free bottled water is a nice and much appreciated touch. The event staff were all polite and responsive for the entirety of a 10 hour wedding reception. Cocktail hours, 7 courses, cake and beverage service, late night snacks, sparkler salute, and more. They worked hard to make sure everything ran smoothly and the few incidents that tend to arise during a large event were handled discreetly so as not to interrupt the party or worry the bride and groom. The food was very good and a large selection so even the pickiest found something to make them happy. The location is super walkable, at the end of the downtown shopping district. We decided to drive to a local diner for breakfast and it was about 30 seconds away - I parked and looked over my shoulder at the parking lot we'd just left. River views from some rooms, cute parks and the Glass Museum very nearby. read more

I only spent one night here, and was pretty exhausted so I basically just went to bed. The staff that I encountered was really nice, and the place in general is what I would expect out of a Radisson. Also the decor is very modern, I kind of felt like I was walking into a concept design of future rooms. I found the lack of available electrical outlets annoying. Even where they have the coffee maker sitting, there's nowhere to plug it in! I had to move it over to the night table where there was an outlet! It's not that big of a deal, but come on, when they were putting the coffee makers in the rooms, no one said "hey, where's the outlet for this?" On the plus side, the wireless internet was actually pretty good - usually hotel interner is horrible. read more

Great location. Friendly staff. Room was quiet & furnishings were modern. Meeting space was bright & clean. Great, attentive staff. Catered food was terrific. Great place for a meeting! read more

Couldn't find my reservation on check-in. Gave me the wrong room. I requested one with a sleeper sofa. Finally switched rooms while they told me how lucky I was that they could do it. Scruffy looking staff, unhelpful with local recommendations. DO NOT eat at their restaurant. There are WAY better, and less expensive places to eat along Market Street. Overpriced menu prepared by a mediocre chef. They closed the breakfast buffet because they didn't have enough staff to run it. Very slow service for everything. Nice central location though if you just want a place to put your head. read more

Had a really great night here. Got to try out a sleep number bed. Apparently, I'm a 60... Room was large, comfy, and clean. The front desk staff is awesome! They're friendly and courteous. Their customer service went beyond my expectations. Patrick is awesome and deserves a round of applause! It's really easy to get to the Corning Glass Museum from here, and close to shopping and dining in the area. Next time I'm in the area, I'll be staying here. read more

Decided to start the new year with a short getaway, chose Corning and stayed here. Hotel is centrally located to museums, shops, and restaurants so great location. The lobby is beautiful but the room did show signs of age. Price was ok, breakfast at restaurant was delicious (omelette) fresh coffee, and fruit was in season. The room did not have any sort of local guides (which most hotels have) so we had to rely on our tablets, and smartphones for everything in the area, really would have liked a guest room directory of places to eat, shop, sights to see, etc. Also the hot water on the shower must have a temperature guard, or I take really hot showers, because hot water is warm at best, but water from faucet right after was good and hot, friend had the same comment. So if going to Corning to sight see, this is a great place to stay for location as you can walk to everything, but for a Radisson it's more like an economy hotel. read more

We stayed in the "new wing" across the courtyard and it was newly re-furbished. Very nice. One might say that there are too many tables and lamps. One might say that a 2 sink bathroom would have been better or that the shower should have been more well protected by glass enclosure..............but the improvement is obvious. We hear that there is a new Hilton. Is this why the improvement. That said, everyone was nice and it's dog friendly. We like it here. read more

I stayed here for a wedding and I was really impressed with the room and the staff! From the time I checked in until I called them frantic about an hour later that I'd forgotten to check out and took the room key, they were so helpful and kind all around. The location is great- near the glass museum and a lot of cute places are within walking distance in downtown Corning. It's pretty easy to access off the freeway, and the downtown is walkable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facility was updated. And again- I can't emphasize how nice the staff were at the reception area and the restaurant. They were so polite and kind and helpful. It's really impressive. Thank you all so much!! read more

Stayed here on a long drive from New York's Hudson Valley to Michigan. I had heard about the glass museum in Corning, so we decided to stop here for the night. I'm so glad we did. The front desk staff was very helpful in pointing out Corning's main attractions and explaining how to get around. The Radisson is in a prime location compared to the other hotels in the area -- at one end of Corning's historic Gaffer District. It's a short walk to great shops and restaurants, and about a two minute drive from the glass museum. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to accomodate us anyways. The rooms are spacious and clean. I found the Sleep Number bed to be stiff and a bit uncomfortable, and the shower control in the bathroom took a few minutes for me to figure out -- although that may very well have been a product of exhaustion from a long drive. (Here's how it works: It's a bit stiff, but you turn it -- don't push anything in or pull anything out. It took me several turns before it was hot enough for my liking.) The restaurant downstairs was great -- I really can't say enough good things about the food. Breakfast arrived at my room promptly, and hot. The next time I'm in the lower tier of the Finger Lakes region, this is where I'll be staying. read more

Hotel is just ok, but they have blasting loud music outside that you can hear in all the rooms. They need to disclose that before people book this hotel and expecting to relax in the evening. Location is good, but I would not recommend this hotel. read more

It is within walking distance to Market Street and not too far from the Corning Museum of Glass, which is pretty cool. It is in the prime location of Corning. The rooms are really clean and neat and the staff are really nice. Lots of restaurants to choose from on Market St. But they close pretty early, around 8 pm. The breakfast is not complimentary but it is still really great nonetheless. I had a custom made omelette and fried potato chunks, it was great. Real relaxing ambience and would stay again if near the area read more

The hotel is clean, and is decorated beautifully. The rooms are cozy. Pool is fun accompanied by an outdoor hot top. The friendly staff really put this place over the top. Will visit again! read more

I had not stayed in a Radisson Hotel in FOREVER. And this one was so pleasantly surprising. I believe it is franchised by Corning (makes sense) and it's really a fantastic stay. I'm actually looking forward to being there regularly. Go to their website and you'll see photos--it's a lovely lobby, great restaurant, nice bar area- the decor is awesome. The staff is very friendly and accessible, more so than most hotels. The rooms are ROOMY and the beds are divinely comfortable--- the have room darkening SHADES not just curtains = key. The hotel is quiet, the food from room service is fast and they were very accommodating to my dietary changes and needs. Very friendly. The lighting in the rooms is very Zen and flattering not like most hotels with bright unflattering glaring lights. Further, the Rituals line of soaps/shampoos they use IS DIVINE. I am now addicted. Pretty nice gym- also an indoor pool and outdoor hottub. I'm a fan. Highly recommend. read more

While it is the best hotel in town I am not sure that is saying a whole lot. Great location, rooms were updated, but I HATED the beds. My sleep number bed didn't want to adjust at all so I woke up each morning with a sore back. I was there during the NASCAR race and they were charging $300 a night for the room, so I am sure that raised my expectations some. Because of that...I have to say they fell short. read more

I have had dinner here on many occasions and have been disappointed every time. The food is quite sub par even for a small town like Corning. The "Filet Mignon" is especially terrible. There have been multiple times that I have been given a fat laden poorly cooked and sometimes old cut of meat. The "Demi" is horrible and tasteless. The staff is always quick to comp your drink or even your meal if you are displeased enough. All I really want is food that is as good and the extremely high price I am paying for it. The "Chef" should be ashamed of having such poor standards. read more

This was a very nice hotel that I can absolutely recommend. The beds were solid, lots of space in the room, great views, nice staff, and clean. As well, the town of Corning is very nice place, perhaps reminiscent of Heidelberg. Worth a visit, especially in the fall, and the Radisson is right downtown. Thanks! read more

This hotel was great. Some of it is a bit older, but it's clean, the beds are comfy and the staff is great. The gentleman who checked us in was all smiles, made us feel welcome right away. The water pressure in the shower, omg amazing! Made the whole stay worth it right there. Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area! read more

Stayed for one night with the kids and husband. Room could use some much needed updates (especially the bathroom), but we enjoyed our stay. Pleasantly surprised to find out a band was playing (we stayed on a Friday night) on their outside patio. Good times, even the kids enjoyed listening to them (10 and 13). The pool was a lot of fun for the kids, too. Good food, but a little overpriced. read more

Stayed here for two nights back in August. Never been to this area before but just decided to book a room here cause the prices were good. Im glad we picked the radisson because basically we were in walking distance of everything. The hotel is really nice inside. The hallways upstairs were kind of interesting. The rooms were up to date. I didnt find anything wrong with the room. The bathroom was really clean and the room itself. Probably the first hotel bed that I had a good night sleep on. Although, the doors in the hallway woke me up when someone came in. The pool looked nice also, but didnt go in. Overall, the room was really cozy. Few days later we relocated to another hotel in Geneva because we were exploring the Finger Lake Region. The hotel in Geneva was more money and not so up to date, I thought the Radisson was alot better. Next time I come back to Corning I'm deffinitly booking my stay here. read more

Great location for visiting downtown Corning! All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds were very comfortable, excellent water pressure in the shower, and the rooms were quiet. Our room was on the small size and a bit pricey for being in the middle of the state, IMHO. We appreciated the free water bottles in our rooms and coffee and apples in the lobby on the way out. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that needs something within walking distance of Market Street. read more

I visited this hotel for the first time, had a 2 night stay. When I arrived they did not have my reservation correctly in their system. I booked through booking.com for 3 people, yet they only had 2 people and a king bed booked. They kept insisting that I only booked for 2 people, until I pulled up my confirmation from my email stating that THREE people were booked, and one was a child with an age entered for booking.com. They said they found me another room with a sleeper sofa. I wasn't sure if this is what I booked through booking.com. I believe I booked a better room but was given what they had left at the hotel, and no refund was given or even talked about. We went to the room and the A/C was turned to 60 degrees (I believe it was only 70 degrees outside!!). We quickly turned it to 72 degrees. I noticed the bathroom door lock was missing, but wasn't a big deal. The tissue box in the bathroom had 2 tissues left in it, the telltale sign being the "beige" tissues that are at the end of the box. That was annoying because it was the only tissue box in the whole room. After unpacking, we decided to just get ready to go out. When I took a shower, the H and C were mislabeled in the shower, and I almost scaled myself to death. As we left for dinner, I called the desk and asked them to make up the sleeper sofa as they had advised me to do once we settled in the room (there were no extra pillows or anything in the closet). When we returned to the room at 10 pm, I found sheets, one pillow and a blanket (with a huge rip on it) thrown on the sofa. I guess I was expected to make up the bed? Yippee...I didn't realize I was on a working vacation! I opened the sofa and found black crumbs or unidentified objects in there. We turned the pitiful mattress over and made the bed. The next day, housekeeping came into the room while we were out and made the king bed, but left the sleeper sofa alone, sheets and ripped blanket just twisted around. I guess I didn't realize that I was expected to make the beds as well???! They also took it upon themselves to AGAIN touch the A/C and turn it down to 60 degrees!!! Who was this housekeeper? Was she experiencing hot flashes and could only work in sub degree temperatures?! I also stopped at the front desk to ask for another blanket, this one without a hole and extra towels. Housekeeping arrived 1/2 hour later with a king comforter and no towels. I explained that I needed a blanket for the sofa--the king comforter would be too big. He was confused and said he could get me a blanket, but kept saying that the front desk gave him the wrong info. He seemed put out and slightly miffed, so since we were leaving for dinner, I said forget it, we will deal with a ripped up blanket, we only had one night left. The last thing I needed was an angry housekeeper entering our room while we were out. Very disappointing room and only some of the front desk staff and waitress at the grill were friendly. When we were outside at 10:05pm that night, a very snotty hotel employee informed us that "city ordinance" requires us to go back inside, we can't be outside after 10 pm. Well, I guess not everyone turned into a pumpkin after 10 pm b/c while I was in my room at 11:30 pm, I heard voices, laughter and people playing corn hole outside! I called the front desk to complain, by this time I was in bed and if I had to go to sleep according to their set "curfew" I was going to make sure that these other people were going to be forced to retreat into the hotel as well! The hotel is close to Market Street, which makes it nice to explore, although for the price, I would have expected a better room. It was shabby at best. To top it off, I didn't even get a tip from housekeeping after I was the one making the beds! read more

We stayed here for Valentine's weekend. It was very nice. We had an issue with the shower head feeling like a pressure washer. We mentioned it to the front desk and before we knew it there was a new shower head installed, which completely solved the problem. We were pleasantly surprised how willing the staff was to help. On top of outstanding service there is an outdoor hot tub!! How cool is that?! With the snow falling it made for a very romantic evening. read more

I have been going to this hotel for close to 30 years for the Crystal City Christmas Package. Every year the service has diminished a little more. The hotel used to have an entertainment room with snacks and movies for our children. There were many snacks put out in the lobby on Saturday night including cupcakes and punch with ice cream floating in it. There was a doorman at the door and a white grand piano playing Christmas music in the lobby. There was a large Santa house and many decorations all over the hotel. On Sunday morning the package included a bus tour to local attractions. The town itself had thousands of people on the street now there are a couple of hundred for this celebration and many venders no longer bother to come. I actually heard one man say he had a wallet full of cash and no place to spend it. This had been a family tradition for so long I just kept coming but no more. This year the Radisson Hotel is NO LONGER PET FRIENDLY and will charge you $150.00 if you are caught with a pet. Last year we were charged over $80.00 extra for a pet friendly room for our very well behaved 10 pound dog. Shame on the Radisson, you and the town of Corning need to do much more to bring back the spirit of Christmas and then I and the people will return. read more

We had a nice stay here August 1-4. Sleep number beds are somewhat comfortable. Entry doors are very loud when closing. It's in need of new carpet everywhere. Our family has stayed here for a week each of the past several years while we've visited nearby relatives. We really appreciate it being a pet-friendly hotel! Great downtown location at the end of Market Street which is full of cute shops and restaurants. Has always been clean and has friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. They did the lounge area over a year or so ago and it's a huge improvement. Very comfortable area to watch a sports game and/or enjoy a cocktail. The bartender is very friendly and he greeted several out-of-town business customers like they were old friends, some of whom he remembered even though they hadn't been there in a couple of years! Impressive! The restaurant and bar have great food--better than many of the various restaurants we've tried over the years actually! Great selections, innovative and fresh without being weird, and very satisfying. Now for the disappointments -- In prior years, our room had two queen size beds which were great. Now they're double inflatable beds (sleep number type, I gather from the other reviews). Although I'm happy with the sleep number bed we have at home, we weren't thrilled this new addition. Double beds are just too small for two tall adults, plus the edges of the mattresses seemed to slope off so if you were too close to the edge, you felt like you were going to slide off. Maybe it needed to be inflated more? Not sure because we didn't see any sleep number controls so we don't know if it could be adjusted or not. Also, the top sheet was several inches too narrow -- every time one of us rolled over, the sheet pulled off the other person....all night, every night. This rarely ever happens at home. Last but not least, I asked for a new bulb for the reading light on my side of the bed. No one could find one or figure out how to fix it. They promised that someone would be up tomorrow to fix it. Unfortunately, that never happened--definitely not a deal breaker, but I would've liked to do some reading after my hubby turned out the lights. Overall, we're happy but I do hope we can get a queen size bed next year so I can get a better night's sleep! read more
