What an incredible TWO visits to Radiator Whiskey. My wife and I went to Radiator Whiskey last week, and had such a nice time we went back last night to enjoy again the many variation of libations that are offered. Last week it was Amanda, and last night it was Christa that offered such a wealth of knowledge that it was easy to pick our choices. Their service was equally excellent. The drinks were the most tasty and balanced that I have ever had. It was also quite fun to watch the cooks prepare the food options for the customers. The Tater Tots seem to be quite popular and now I want to come back for the food. The bone marrow, the burnt ends, the any sandwiches and of course the desserts were all meticulously prepared. It is a simple detail, but I was very impressed how the hamburger and chicken sandwich buns were warmed and grilled on the flat top. Very cool. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and smells great as well. We will definitely be back as the service and beverages were that good. And I expect the food is also above excellent. read more

Amazing whisky spot near pikes market, right next to the storyville coffee. My husband confirmed he had one of the best aged whiskey cocktail he ever had. We ordered the bone marrow, burrata salad and the stew brisket to share. The bone marrow is of course super flavorful with garlic and parsley and goes well with the tasty toast. It is the right amount of bone marrow to share so the dish doesn't feel overpowered. The burrata Salad is really refreshing, with right amount of flavors and still super healthy. We did not read the menu thoroughly. We thought this will be the traditonal bbq whiskey, the brisket stew is super soft and flavorful. However, too much fat with it, we could barely eat it. Don't recommend order this entrees. Service here is outstanding, all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. First meal in Seattle, we felt super welcoming. read more

While waiting for a table at Pink Door, I wandered around and found Radiator Whiskey. It caught my eye because well... it's whiskey. Classic wooden barrel vibes inside, and the staff was super nice. I was served my first drink while standing (Viaduct, Cease to Exist) and eventually got seated at the bar. It gets pretty crowded, so arrive early if possible. Easier for small groups. After a cocktail or two, I got hungry and ordered the Bread & Butter. I mean, jalapeño cornbread and smoked honey butter!? It was the perfect pre-dinner snack--warm, fresh, flavorful. I would love to come back and try the burnt ends, bone marrow, and really anything else. Maybe I should have just stayed here, but I was on a mission. Lesson learned for next time! read more

Our last night in Seattle we wanted to find a nice cocktail spot with unique food. Radiator Whiskey seemed to fit that description perfectly. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed with both the cocktails and the food. We walked in without a reservation. After several minutes, the fill-in hostess gave us the option to sit in the bar area which was first come, first serve. We waited for a couple that was finishing up and we got lucky with seats right at the bar. We each ordered a smoked maple old fashioned. I normally enjoy an old fashioned that's smoked but this one had an artificial smoked flavor that was off putting. Hubby didn't care for it much either. We ordered the burnt ends as an appetizer. These were by far the best thing we had all night but even these weren't great. Some pieces were extremely dry, a few pieces were pretty good, then others were very fatty. I did really like the slaw and BBQ sauce. For our shared entree, we ordered the braised beef brisket. This was quite possibly the worst brisket I've ever had. Again, the inconsistencies were very noticeable. Hubby had 2 leaner pieces which were okay but the piece I had was mostly tough fat and gristle. The flavor was strange to me as well. Grilled onion slices weren't great either. They were too firm and not caramelized enough. The horseradish sauce was decent as was the arugula salad. All in all, it was disappointing dinner at Radiator Whiskey. We should have known better coming from the southeast, not every region can make consistently delicious BBQ/Southern food. read more

By far my favorite bar in Seattle. Not sure why it took me so long to write a review. We used to come here on every visit to Seattle pre pandemic. Our favorite go to was the buffalo chicken livers with some great whiskey to pair. I'm here on a trip with the fellas and had to I introduce them to my favorite spot. Well, I was a little heart broken initially when I learned they do not make the livers any more. I asked our server what she would recommend that will knock my socks off like the old dish did. She recommended the burnt ends and man!!!! they did not disappoint. We also ordered fried oysters and they were delicious. This spot consistently makes the most ridiculously delicious food that pairs well with their whiskeys. Awesome selection. And if you're not a whiskey fan and prefer tequila, they have you covered. My buddy ordered a Fortaleza anejo and I have to say.. I was a bit jealous but had to stay true to my whiskey when at this spot. The atmosphere is always fun and they staff just adds to it. Stopped here for dinner and we were definitely welcomed as walk ins. The place is located right in market place plaza, upstairs area. Music in the background drowns out others' conversations but seem like it can get pretty noisy. You def need to be 21 to dine. Host and waitress were really friendly and engaging. I had the mule drink along with the chicken wings and burnt ends. The waitress said the chef was f'ing bomb so we were in good hands. The wings were bomb, like the good bomb. We only got three with the order. That was the bummer, wish it came with more for the price. The burnt ends were ok, not too crazy for it. The banana bread dessert that they have was delicious. Excellent dining choice when venturing into the infamous Pike Place Market. Conveniently located next to all the poppin spots in Seattle! Parking is tricky, so I'd recommend dining earlier or just getting dropped off via Lyft or Uber so you don't have to worry about missing your reservation. My wife and I joined a bunch of our friends on a foodie trip to Seattle. We chose this place because of the Mini Beast Feast which includes a smoked pig head and all of the fixings. You currently have to order this ahead of time and pay a down payment of $200. This was amazing and so much fun. I wish there were more fried pig ears because they were to die for. The smoked pig head was full of all kinds of tasty meats. Unfortunately the skin was too hard to eat. The feast also came with a salad, Brussel Sprouts, Potatoes, and pork ribs. It easily fed our group of 7. They also have an amazing whiskey selection. I enjoyed a nice Smoked Maple Old Fashioned and my wife loved her Blantons barrel selection neat. We had an impromptu stop at Radiator Whiskey after dinner. It was hard to find - maybe we were just already tipsy & it was dark... But if you're looking at the famous red Public Market sign it'll be the building on your right (Corner Market) & you'll go up the little stairwell to find the bar. The stairwell was so empty & quiet, we were wondering if this bar really existed - but lo & behold we were welcomed into a loud & boisterous bar! This bar really had the coolest vibe. There were so many bottles & even barrels of liquor on the walls. We were lucky that they had a table available for us - it turns out we stopped in on their 10th anniversary celebration where there were raffles & other really fun things going on. Everyone was having a blast! For how busy they were, our server was still very attentive & made sure we had drinks in our hands. I had a Market Mule which was light & refreshing. I wanna say this is a hidden gem but I'm sure it's not so hidden, but it's also not so obvious at the same time. It's in the 2nd floor (if I remember correctly) of a building right by the entrance of Pike Place Market. The servers are super nice, attentive, and helpful. I'm not really into alcohol but you don't need to be in order to appreciate this place. The burrata salad is so unassuming but it's both light and flavorful at the same time. It's the perfect starter to a somewhat heavy meal. The shrimp and grits wrist was just divine. The shrimp was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The grits were equally flavorful. The chicken was really crispy but I think the batter needed more flavor. It was on the drier side that even the chicken thighs (which is my fave part) was a little unappealing to me. Basically perfection here folks. The hubs and I are visiting from Denver and we (the hubs) were compelled by the whiskey menu. First and foremost, our server, Christa, was incredible. Super fun and engaging, she was the cherry on top of incredible food and drinks. I ordered the veggie gnocchi and the hubs went with the fried chicken. First, the gnocchi. Perfectly seasoned with fresh veggies and goat cheese. I would order this dish anytime and regularly. The fried chicken was smoked just lightly and not overpowered by the smoke. Then the fried chicken piece was crispy skin and super tender meat paired with the most incredible Mac and cheese and cornbread that wasn't dry at all. The cornbread was almost cake like it was so (m word) and paired with butter, was over the top. The whisky selection was top notch and the attention to detail was incredible with the dropper bottle of water. I ordered the brownstone cocktail times two which was perfectly crafted. The burnt ends were phenomenal. Me and my fiancé stopped here mostly for a drink or two after enjoying a day downtown. After smelling that smell of smokiness we decided to look at the menu. We opted to split the burnt ends. It was a nice amount, cooked perfectly and hit the spot. It went really well with the Old Fashioneds we were drinking. I really enjoyed their style of music they were playing too. It was 90s rock while we were there so we got to happily sing along while we were sitting at the bar drinking and snacking. First of all, it's a dive bar scene but the atmosphere and inside seating was great and beautiful views by the windows. Service was great! Our waitress was on top of her game and recommended every dish we ended up ordering and liking. Try their watermelon burrata salad, you will not ve disappointed. Seems simple but it's delicious! What a great place to be when all the business from pike place closes in the PM. I asked the host fir recommendations and she highly suggested the braised beef brisket. It looked delicious too when the plate passed us for another table. This dish comes with their homemade gnocchi which is divine. Probably one of the best I've ever had. Soft center dusted with cracked pepper flavor on the outside. Love that extra subtle crunch. This dish came with savory herbs glazed with some type of vinaigrette. Perfect to cut the meatiness of the brisket along with the demi-glaze horseradish cream. We also ordered the fried pork shank. The first bite into the shank was a delicious combo of salty and spicy while refreshing along with a hint of sweetness. It was fireworks going off, wow. The smoked zucchini and other market vegetable was great with this dish. The herb aioli pickled goat horn peppers was probably the best part of the whole dish. This sauce made the whole dish come together like a marriage- a little sassy, a little heat and a little sweetness at the end. We couldn't possibly eat here with out getting a whisky drink. We got the Rare Finds flight which was quite adventurous. This came with 3 glencairn samplers. The best was the 1970's Old crow Kentucky bourbon. 1980's IW Harper 12 year bourbon was ok and 1960's J.W. Dant 7 year bourbon can stay in the 1960's but what do I know, I'm no whisky connoisseur. All in all, a fun flight to sip on with all the meat heaven. We also got the Smoked Maple Old fashion wich was good here because they make it with rye instead of burbon. If you like it Smokey, this is the one for you. Next time definitely trying out the ones on tap from the big barrels at the bar when you first come in. This was a great experience from great food, warm whiskies in the belly and an energetic host/server. Not to mention, we were seated in our own section with crates dividing us from the next table. Amanda , our server, was really the BomB! We ducked in for a fun dinner after a stroll around Pikes Place. Came twice and it was at capacity both occasions. Three times a charm -- we finally got in. Beverages Menu had a wide , lovely selection to choose from. It blew our mind to have rare whiskeys offered. Dinner portions were generous. We ended ordering burrata salad to start. The burrata was fresh and creamy. Arugula was limp and tomato was tired and tasteless. It seem to lack vibrancy that vibes with a great salad. 2 1/2 stars. The smoked fried chicken entree is what we ate and it was crazy moist on the inside with a beautiful, tasty crunch! So I figured at a whiskey bar the food would be second to the drinks; I was wrong, and happy to be wrong. The drinks were really good, but the food was phenomenal. I came in with a big party and we split just about every appetizer on the menu. Bone marrow, tots, and the cornbread were all major highlights, but everything was good. Every time something new came out to the table, watching everyone's face light up as they tried it was too fun. I don't think there was a single thing that we didn't like. I had the iceberg wedge as well and everyone enjoyed their entrees, and topping it all off with cookies and whiskey as a dessert was both charming and delicious. The table side smores kit was a big hit too, because who wouldn't want to make their own smores in a whiskey bar? I wish I had taken more photos, because this dinner was truly an event! Overall this restaurant was a super fun experience and the food and drinks were fantastic. With a huge party, the service was also great and the waiters and bartenders were all so kind and just as fun as the place itself. The toppings were generous especially the pulled pork. The smoked then fried chicken dish, accompanied by a substantial serving of Mac n cheese, and cornbread, comes with two sizable pieces of chicken and is perfect for those with larger appetites or can be shared by two, especially if paired with an appetizer or side dish. The fried pork shank, while tender, lacked balance. The collared greens were overly salty, highlighting the need for some form of carbs, like bread or potatoes, to counterbalance the dish's fattiness and saltiness. I see in the pictures that this was served with some form of pasta in the past, not sure what changed. We didn't try a drink here but will plan on doing so next time. We ordered two smoked maple old fashioned, braised brisket entree, and cornbread. The braised brisket came with a side of arugula vinaigrette salad and gnocchi. SO GOOD! The brisket was so tender and the fat just melted in your mouth. The cornbread was actually jalapeño cornbread, and had the perfect crisp to the outer edges. The au jus the brisket came in was so bomb... could literally bathe in it haha. The kitchen even made more for us when we requested for an additional side of it! We ended the night perfectly thanks to Justin and his introduction to Michter's whiskey. Extremely smooth with notes of vanilla. This place rocks, though it is hard to find. Basic instructions is to find the "Adult Entertainment" location then directly across the street from that is a small pathway that leads to an elevator, take that. Once my wife and I found it I was an amazing experience from the get go. It's not the biggest restaurant so I would definitely recommend reservations. Since Bourbon is my favorite alcohol I got and Old Fashioned with one of their whiskeys of the day called Redemption. This was amazing and I ordered a second when I am typically a one drink per meal person. For food we started with the Burnt Ends, because if Burnt Ends are on a menu we are ordering them. This version was perfect to share with good portion bites of each. It came with a mustard bbq sauce on top and some slaw. I've never had a mustard sauce with them before but it brought a good bite that works well against the fat of the meat. My wife doesn't typically like mustard so she went with the pieces that had less on it and said it's one of the best mustard sauces she's had. For main courses I went with the brisket which came with cooked onions, a small arugula salad and a horseradish sauce. The brisket was tender and flavorful. I'm not sure I would have given the dish "5 stars" if it wasn't for the horseradish sauce because I put that on everything and loved it. If I was to come back I would try something else but definitely would order it again. My wife got the smoked fried chicken which came with two large pieces, mac and cheese and cornbread. I got to try everything of hers and again loved it all. We actually make homemade mac and cheese at home so this one was just alright but the chicken was unlike anything we've had before. The smoke was an added layer of flavor that was complimentary to the dish. The "vibe" of a restaurant is not something I typically mention in a review but Radiator's deserves a mention. The music was a great alt rock playlist which vibed with the city and the food. The hostess and our waitress were awesome and we actually had the manager come over at the end of the meal we were having such a good time and the ladies helping us were so friendly we wanted to give them a compliment. I didn't plan on getting dessert, maybe it was the bourbon or our cool waitress but she talked me into it so I got the Bourbon Bread Pudding. You had me at bourbon. The "pudding" seemed more fried then steamed which gave the crust a crunchy texture and fatty flavor that was addicting. My wife tried a bite but I devoured the rest myself. Topped with caramel and whipped cream it was a great end to the meal. We loved the place so much my wife suggested we could cancel reservations to dinner at a different spot we had the next day to come back but unfortunately it was their off days the rest of our trip so this was only time we came. When we go back to Seattle the first restaurant reservation we make will be Radiator. read more

This whiskey bar was one of our highlights of our trip to Seattle. Yelp helped us locate this hidden gem. Located in the Pike Place Market area, this is tucked on the 3rd floor of one of the buildings that comprises the public market that is overran with tourists. But we only saw locals. I believe because Radiator is not well marked, this keeps only the whisky faithful as patrons. We ordered flights of whisky's off the reserve menu. Many (+- 50) aged whisky's 10 years or more. Pappys, whistle pig, michters, Kentucky Owl, you get it. Our server was a spunky appreciator. She was knowledgeable, pleasant and attentive. This is a must stop for whiskey appreciators in downtown Seattle. But bring a map, compass, and blood hound to help you find it. read more

Came to Radiator Whiskey because 1. It had great reviews on Yelp 2. It was close-ish to our hotel 3. A friend recommended it. I think all the great reviews are just for their extensive library whiskey because the food was just meh. My fiancé and I came in on a Monday at around 5:30 so that we could make it in time for the happy hour from 4 to 6. The place is pretty tiny but luckily, we grabbed the last two available seats. It's a bit difficult to find. We thought it was inside the Public Market, but it's actually across the street from the market on the second floor. We decided to start the night off with one of their happy hour specials - a $7 shot of Four Roses and Britt's Pickle back. I didn't care for the pickle juice - it had a weird funk to it. For food during happy hour, there was $2 off "starters", so we ordered the Cornflake Crusted Chicken Livers (franks buffalo sauce, shaved celery blue cheese custard), and the Sticky Smoked Pork Belly (sweet & spicy sauce, assorted pickled veg). First bites were good, but as we ate a bit more, we noticed it was incredibly salty. They are SUPER generous with the portions though. These "starters" were more like entrees. I've never ate so much liver in my life. This is all we ordered and we were stuffed and struggling to finish. Our bellies were too full to try any of their whiskeys, which I regret 1000%. Christa was our waitress and she definitely deserves praises since she was very happy to help use whenever we needed. The shrimp and grits are heavenly.
