I felt like I was a customer and not just a fee! I got an invoice through my text message, called them up and talked to Bill. It seems that my insurance didn't give him enough information. Once my insurance paid the claim, I called back and took care of it. Bill apologized for my insurance not giving him better information. Well, that wasn't his place to apologize, but he did. Through this accident, I have found blessings! You don't want to have to call a tow truck, but if you ever do, call Ken's Auto Rescue! They will take good care of you!

Once daytime turned into dark, we were even more vulnerable on the narrow freeway shoulder, so received police assistance, and they reached Damar Towing in Pasco WA. Damar, a true Angel, arrived by midnight. By ~1A we were safely towed off the freeway and tucked into his locked yard. In the morning, we were greeted with coffee and tamales prepared in Damar's outdoor kitchen. Then, Damar picked the best-suited repair shop for our particular situation and towed us to that location. The engine repair shop (NorthTech) came through, and we were back on the road by mid-afternoon. If I could give Damar 20 stars, I would! Not only is he a kind human being, but also he's the most meticulous tow truck driver we've ever encountered. To top it all off, he called several days later to find out if we'd had a good repair and safe trip. That was a true first among tow truck operators!! Damar, thank you again and again.

That following Wednesday evening I called at around 6pm to ask when I could come to collect the rest of my personal items like clothing, car seat, and other items that I did make clear I wanted at the scene of the crash and on the phone. He looked up my information and told me they still had my car since NO REGISTERED OWNER HAD RELEASED THIS CAR. So cool he tells me I can come tomorrow (Thursday) between 8:30am and 4:30 pm to get my things, just needed a 30 minute notice. As I am working my father called on my behalf Thursday morning to just make sure what lot I'd be going to and to see if my time I picked would work. My car was gone. GONE. Obviously no one called or arranged this, and in our panic we were LAUGHED AT. The supposed owner I spoke to laughed hard at not only my father but me who called right after him. It took me 15 minutes on the phone until he FINALLY wanted to help me try and even get my items. He was too busy laughing the first 15 minutes at me and saying that we had called and it was my fault. I finally broke and cried and begged for my items to be found, and that's when he finally started to look for where my car was and how to help. Turns out, my car left their lot WEDNESDAY MORNING AT 10AM!!!!!!!!!! This same 'owner' was the one who had told me Wednesday NIGHT AT 6PM MY CAR WAS THERE. How was my car gone at 10am that day after I supposedly released it FULL of my items(I was currently in the ER at this time getting looked at) but also never left and I can still come for my items? When called out all he will do is yell over you and hang up so don't bother. They are liars and scam artists who might've mad an honest mistake here but instead of telling me the day I call, I was lied to very boldly and had to figure this out on my own on where my car went and how the AMAZING other company will be getting my items back to me.

My car insurance hooked me up with these guys and I had such a wonderful experience! I waited quite a long time due to all the hoops AAA made me jump through but once the choice was made on the tow company, they were wonderful at keeping me updated on the ETA. One of their tow truck drivers showed up as scheduled and quickly asked what was wrong with my car. I explained what had happened and he said, "Well, hold on, let me see if I can fix this before we even go anywhere." You'll never believe it but he was able to get my car moving without the need of a tow and it saved me $327! Now if that's not unselfish and honest, I don't know what is! He even followed up an hour and a half later to make sure I made it home safely. My favorite line of his, "Don't worry ma'am, we just want to make sure we're helping people." Swoon. I chose not to take a total loss because my car was still drivable, so I went to pick it up. When I arrived, the front desk lady told me my car was ready and would be brought out. A few moments later, a male worker came out and told me my bumpers and lights were already off and asked me what I wanted to do with them. I was confused and told him I was not aware my car had already been torn apart. He went back inside, then came back out and told me to return in about an hour so he could put the car back together. At that point, the front desk lady who originally told me my car was ready apologized and said, "Oh my God, I'm so sorry, I didn't realize everything was off. Come back in about an hour and we'll have your car ready." That was all that was said. There was absolutely no mention of any fee. Later that day, I received a call saying my car was ready, but now there was suddenly a $150 reassembly fee that had never been mentioned. When I raised concerns, the lady on the phone clearly had an attitude and seemed annoyed that I was questioning it. Instead of explaining or taking accountability, she immediately offered the option of tearing my car back down and having me arrange my own tow truck since the car "wouldn't be drivable," which made no sense because the car was already put back together. After hearing I was upset, she offered $20 off for the so-called "miscommunication." When I arrived to pick up the car, the front desk lady immediately apologized and admitted she "forgot to tell me there was a fee." How you forget to mention a $150 charge is beyond me. I was then told to bring this issue to my insurance. I contacted them, and the insurance representative confirmed this was the shop's fault and did his best to help. He also mentioned the shop claimed I was given the option to take the car as-is or have it put back together, which is simply not true. If I had known my car was already torn apart, I would never have agreed to take it back. A $150 surprise fee for a single mother right around the holidays is absolutely insane. The lack of communication and training should not fall on the customer. Customers shouldn't be paying for the shop's incompetence, and the receptionist shouldn't even be working if important fees are going to go over their head. I should've chose Mathew's Auto Body instead.
