She was understandably panicky when a driver stopped, moved her car out of the intersection to an adjacent parking lot, diagnosed that she was out of gas, and helped her with gas so she could drive to station. I felt like I was a customer and not just a fee! I got an invoice through my text message, called them up and talked to Bill. It seems that my insurance didn't give him enough information. Once my insurance paid the claim, I called back and took care of it. Bill apologized for my insurance not giving him better information. Well, that wasn't his place to apologize, but he did. I was in a terrible spot, pulled over on the left hand side but no extra space whatsoever. Cars were zipping by at 60 mph, some not even moving even slightly to give me room. One texting driver and I'd be toast. I called the first listed service- they had an answering service in India. It too them 15 minutes to be able to tell me it would be at least 90 minutes to get a truck to me. (Who wants to call India to call for a local service??) I ended up getting referred to Cody from another service. Cody knew I was in a bad spot and literally dropped everything to come bring me gas. He was so awesome! Highly recommended!!…read more I previously was quoted for a little over $1300 at a different auto repair shop for things that were "needing immediate attention" and was actually refused an alignment because I couldn't afford the $500 needed to buy these kits that were "mandatory" to be able to do the alignment. I was referred to Mel's through discount Tire. Gave them a call and explained the situation as well as what the previous shop said. I was able to get in within 2 weeks, and it only took that long because of the kits I said were needed would take a while to do, as well as working around my schedule. Dropped it off at 12:40 even though my appointment wasn't until 1:15 and got a call by 2:30 saying it was done. A total of $75 instead of the insane amount the other auto repair shop was trying to charge me. I will for sure be continuing my business here and recommending to anyone else!

My car overheated today and I was stranded in Connell, about 25 minutes outside of the Tri Cities…read morearea, and about an hour and a half away from my home. My car insurance hooked me up with these guys and I had such a wonderful experience! I waited quite a long time due to all the hoops AAA made me jump through but once the choice was made on the tow company, they were wonderful at keeping me updated on the ETA. One of their tow truck drivers showed up as scheduled and quickly asked what was wrong with my car. I explained what had happened and he said, "Well, hold on, let me see if I can fix this before we even go anywhere." You'll never believe it but he was able to get my car moving without the need of a tow and it saved me $327! Now if that's not unselfish and honest, I don't know what is! He even followed up an hour and a half later to make sure I made it home safely. My favorite line of his, "Don't worry ma'am, we just want to make sure we're helping people." Swoon.
