Holy Cow!! This happened to my husband and I on 7/22/2024. In the morning. Why one star? (They deserve 0 stars) Because of the cashier and the barista. They had ATTITUDES. We have been to the one in Upland and they are WAY nicer over there.  My husband got a sea salt caramel cold brew and I got a berry tea. (For reference the music is loud and she is talking so low that I couldn't hear) I asked "do you guys sweeten it"(referring to the berry tea) and she goes no. Then I proceeded to ask "what do you use to sweeten it" I heard the liquid syrup part and I asked "how many pumps?" She says "three" and I said "can you give make it just one pump?" She nods yes. But then she continued to say "When have other sweeteners" and I asked "which ones?" She was naming flavors and then the barista I think was naming other flavors but her back was turned toward us and I couldnt hear and that's when I got confused because sweeteners I'm assumed honey, agave, Splenda, etc. so I said "can you repeat that because I can't hear you?".  Also she was talking so low and the music was LOUD. I verified again that I wanted one pump of the liquid sugar. (I notice the cashier having a attitude)  She repeated the flavors list and thats when I said "why are you telling me flavors?" And she said something all I can make out was "....other ways". Then before I can verify once again that I wanted the one pump sugar.  The barista turns around was the biggest attitude and says with her hand half way in the air "she. is. saying. The berry, caramel, (then she proceeded to name other flavors but couldn't hear that part) those are the other ways we sweeten our drinks" and I said "oh, yeah I was telling her I just want the one pump, I was answering her" then she turns back around and before we finished paying she says with her attitude "your drinks are on the other side".  Cashier was still giving us attitude. We got our drinks and my husband then verified that they did have attitudes.  So excuse me for not hearing what the F**k what was been said. Excuse me for not having Sonar hearing. I wonder how you treat your deaf customers.  Also we got two of your vegan pop tarts and they looked and tasted OLD. Before we left I got a mug just like my husband got one when we ordered the drinks. The cashier continued with her attitude. So run don't walk away from this location.  The cashier name was Ariana. She had a septum piercing and petite looking. Enclosed is a picture of the sticker that was on my drink. The same name was on my receipt. The Barista who also had an attitude was petite ish. I believe she had glasses. She was kind of dark and her hair looked like you know how when girls with dark hair, they bleach or they dye their hair. The color then comes out like a dark tarnishing looking color. That was her hair color. read more

Wanted something refreshing so I decided to try this place out for the first time! I got the Electric Mango tea/lemonade. The flavor wasn't too bad, I definitely tasted the tea and lemonade but not much of the mango. The service wasn't too bad as well. In my opinion, the most notable aspect about this place was the ambiance. The cafe was covered with artistic stickers and designs. There's nice music and some pinball machines to keep the family entertained. They also had a very cool looking outside area! read more

Rad Coffee is a very popular spot inspired by a spooky-skater theme, reminding us of Halloween/Dia de Los Muertos.  Rad Coffee offers a variety of drinks and flavors for people to explore. They also have a jumbo size of 32 oz. Although we are coffee-feens, we felt as if the 32 oz was a bit too much and here is why: We ordered their hot Spanish Latte with oat milk. The drink was an ordinary spanish latte. It was a decent drink with good flavor. It's definitely the drink we recommend to first time coffee drinkers if this is the place they want to explore. We also got their iced Great White. This drink automatically comes in a 32 oz cup, and unfortunately the drink was super overwhelming for the size it was in. After exploring different coffee shops, we rely on the rich taste of coffee with subtle sweet flavors. Thus, this drink was just too much for our pallet. It was WAY TOO SWEET!!!! The drink is made with white mocha, caramel sauce, and almond syrup. Not only was it sweet from all those added flavors, but it tasted artificial, almost acidic. In our opinion, this isn't a drink we would get again. Overall, this place has a fun interpretation of coffee and a cool location. They have a variety of options and even blended coffee drinks.  Because we are also coffee reviewers, we must admit that Rad Coffee is not a location we would go back to. Though the location has high reviews, we feel like this place is for people who enjoy sugary coffee, and that is something we simply don't enjoy. The ambience and the decor was A1. As a punk person myself, I loved to see everything on the walls! I love to see the arcade games, even though two out of three of them were out of order, and the seating section was closed. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience. However, I was sorely disappointed when my iced white chocolate mocha that I ordered extra sweet came out tasting like a regular latte with no sweetener in it. I myself am a barista so I don't know if the workers just didn't put any sweetener in it. They seemed very encapsulated in their own conversation, but I am disappointed with my mocha and I would not go back there for a drink. I would definitely just go back there to hang out and maybe get some work done. read more

There are a lot of rad things about this place but I would say, by far, number one is the service. 10/10. They really go out of their way to make sure you are 100% satisfied. I have been wanting to try this place for some time now. I love that the drinks are customizable. Like literally anything you want to sub or have removed altogether, they'll accommodate. This is such a fun coffee shop with lots of GREAT TASTING original drinks!! I'll admit I came here just to check out the Punk Rock theme but the drinks blew me away :) I had #BonesBrew which is 2 espresso shots, cold brew concentrate, organic vanilla & cream AND it comes in a skull glass that you can keep!!! It was sooooo good, smooth & sweet with a nice kick. But they also have a couple of 4-shot drinks on the menu that I can't wait to try :) My Son ordered the Zombie, lemonade & blue orange syrup, which was also great, sweet & refreshing like good lemonade should be. In fact, we are coming back next week and switching orders ;) You can get a 32oz Zombie for just $5!!! The blended drinks also sound good and I can't wait to try some of them too!!! I can see that I will be coming here a lot in the future :) The staff are friendly and they play punk music (not to loud for punk rock), have a ton of merch, pinball machines, a covered patio & a private parking lot. My first time here. It was recommended by my friend. They had so many great options and vegan options as well. I am not vegan, but for those who are they do have options for you as well as snacks. They do have nondairy choices as well. They have a nice seating area outside. It's super cute, bright, colorful and comfortable. They also have some games inside. They do have two bathrooms available. The drinks we got were absolutely amazing. Fun and flavorful. Many options to choose from, as well as regular coffee. They also have a little gift shop. All the employees were very nice and they were very well staffed. It can get a little bit busy but the line moves fast. Has its own parking. I highly recommend trying out this place. When I'm in the area I will definitely be back again to try something new. read more

We came and got the holiday matcha drink with the candycane and oreo blended in and the pb capn crunch blended both made vegan. They were both really good i think id have liked just a little more oat milk in the matcha because it was a little too syrupy but the overall flavor was good. With the pb crunch maybe a little more peanut butter. The workers were all friendly and parking was easy at this location due to having an actual parking lot. Not much to say, cool spot. Saw it driving down and needed coffee and read this spot had great reviews. Had a nice little pinball machine area which I thought was very unique. The spot looks very retro, giving it a chill vibe. The service was as good as it can be, they were fast with the order and spot on with their coffee. We passed this location on our way to a juice shop down the street. The large, street facing sign immediately caught the eye of my daughter. She quickly looked up Rad Coffee on Yelp and said we needed to double back. She was thrilled with the decision as this shop has a fantastic vibe and delicious coffee. It was indeed a RAD experience; the vibe is skater/punk rock. They have old school band flyers posted all over, with black & white checker floor patterns and splashes of neon pink, neon green and black walls. EPIC. You will find a few pinball machines, really fun merchandise, and a sitting area with plenty of tables where you can chill and enjoy your beverage. The sitting area has great decor, see my pictures. The specialty coffee drinks are #BOMB. My daughter loved her CINNAMON TOAST, which comes blended. It consisted of coffee with Rad toast specialty syrup and cinnamon topped with house made purple whip & cereal, see my picture. I have no gripes, BUT, on this particular Saturday morning there were two individuals running the shop and a line, so it took 15+ minutes to get through the line and get the actual drink. This place rips. I much prefer to drink coffee at home because I can make it how I like and it's way cheaper than buying coffee out but this place made me think (a little) differently. The cold brew was really solid and it was under $5 which in today's market is hard to find. The baristas were also really awesome.. big smiles and very helpful. The atmosphere is also worth noting and something to go and check out. Overall 10/10. I really dig this spot. read more

The drinks here though are unfortunately all not the greatest. I've tried this place time and time again but it's just low mediocre at best. The best items are the plain espresso drinks and the tea/lemonades. I usually love cold brew but the cold brew here is mehhh The employees are cool and have good customer service. They have a large assortment of flavored coffees presented in eye appealing ways, perfectly instagrammable. I had to try their Pumpkin Iced Latte before the season ended, and it was "ok". Sweet, and I could taste that hint of pumpkin spice. But was it mind-blowing? Or at least a stand-out compared to other Pumpkin lattes I've tried? No, not as much as the way it's presented--for me, it looked better than it tasted. But also, it's perfectly fine. It's split into two sections. When you first enter, it's the order window, right next to the pick-up window towards the right side. The music is quite loud and I thought I would have to yell to give my order, but it was fine--nothing that dramatic & that process was manageable. The service was fine--nothing stands out in my experience as exceptionally good, but nothing bad either. The drinks didn't take long and the wait was minimal. Toward the left side (facing the order window) is a separate area door entrance with two tables and these large chairs shaped like hands. There are also bar-type tables against the wall with stool-like chairs. On the ceiling are skull-chandelier decorations. Most definitely a vibe, leaning towards spooky vibes--muted by the sunlight shining from outside on a beautiful California day. The walls are art deco'd and good for picture back drops. It's a combination of bright and emo. :-D If you decide to work here, make sure you bring your own chargers for your phone or computer & maybe your own hotspot. Not sure if this would be an optimal and comfortable spot to work, but with the tech, you might be able to do it. Overall, it's a small business coffee shop so I recommend it over "the" large franchise. And you may enjoy it much more than I did...the potential is there, so give them a visit! read more

Our first time here and I'm digging the theme so much. The coffee is very good! I love how creative their selection is. We got 2 hot drinks both lattes and a blender drink for my daughter. My chai was perfect, not overly sweet, unlike other places that taste like they came from a box. Maybe this one is? Am not sure but it was gingery warm I love it. Rad coffee has gone downhill. Unfortunately they've gotten plagued with baristas that act too bothered to act like anything above a vending machine. They don't seem to pleased to see people come in to pay them for their coffee. I'm not saying workers can't have bad days, Im a past barista of 5 years, so I get it but it's gone beyond one off moments to almost essentially what they are like when you come in. Their gimmick coffee isn't worth the uncomfortable transactions with moody disaffected employees too cool to talk to you beyond taking your order. read more

I love this shop / location! I am a local San Diegan and whenever i am in LA to visit friends or family, i always grin and bear the 405 traffic just to go to this Rad Coffee (honorable mention to Upland, tho, too!) The coffee is always perfect (i get the Cookies n' Scream!) and the baked goodies are slammin'. I also get a pound or two of coffee to enjoy my Rad back home, their drip coffee whole bean is outta this world. Nice, robust coffee taste, perfectly roasted. Last night, Jasmine helped me (i hope i spelled that right!) and she was such a bright, kind person to interact with after a bunch of jerks on the road!! Not only was she helpful and patient, she made my experience so sweet and went above and beyond for me. I ultimately got the 16 oz Rad Berry, which was blackberry & black tea with organic lemonade infused with mint. The mint was definitely there since it made my mouth feel all cool after taking each sip. I'd have to say the September Special drinks on the 9-30th had one of the best options! I am always on the search for good cafes and this one definitely was worth visiting! The theme of the cafe follows through the entire building and their drinks! All you horror fans, this is YOUR spot for coffee! We got a Great White (4 shots of espresso with cold brew concentrate) and a Cinnamon Toast Cereal Chiller. I also ordered some pins and their vegan pop tart, cookie, and brownie. The great white was strong! Before you knock it because of the price, keep in mind Starbucks would charge over $10 for something similar! The drinks were good! The pastries were good however the pop tart wasn't our favorite. It's great that the pastries are vegan and all but they definitely lacked something! The service was pleasant as well. Over all with 2 drinks, 2 pins, 3 pastries, and a tip I spent over $50! What a rad coffee shop!!! I've been seeing this all over my social media and my friends have been telling me to go! Finally decided to go on a Saturday morning and it did not disappoint! Halloween is coming up and it definitely got me in a Halloween mood! They have the coolest Rad Coffee merch and I think they would make the best gifts too. They have vegan rice crispies! We tried their Brown Sugar Pop Tart and it was good! Surprisingly not too sweet, which I love! For drinks we tried their Iced Spanish Latte and the Frankenstein (blended matcha green tea with vanilla mint, chocolate chips AND Oreos!!) I loved them both, the Iced Spanish Latte was a tad too sweet but it's okay. This is a place where I'd come for to get merch and try more of their unique drinks! The service was great! I've heard many good things about Rad Coffee so I made sure to stop by on my way out of LBC to the IE. Though, now they have a location in Riverside (and upland I think). I came by right when they opened in the morning on a Sunday. It was empty, inside with only 1 employee but the vibes were there. It's definitely not your usual coffee shop. They offer a variety of coffee options and teas for those not into coffee. They also have merch you can buy. Like stickers, sweaters, beanies. So that's unique. When I came by I got an iced vanilla latte. Honestly I was a bit overwhelmed with all the drink choices and options. They have lots. And it's not a bad thing but I could just not figure out what I wanted and played it safe with my drink. It was good. A plain ol vanilla latte. On the side I got a peach green tea and it was good too. Other than that I haven't been back since they are near by but not as much as I'd like. I usually like to wake up drive 5 mins to my coffee shop and get my fix. So I'm always hesitant to go to their new location. Hopefully they open more spots with due time. read more

I go here after dropping off my dog at GoFetch and on my way to work. When you walk in, the punk and rockabilly vibes in here are spot on. Staff is extremely friendly and service is speedy. Spanish latte, my favorite, is ready to go in 2 min or less. Couldn't refer this place enough! read more
