Came in to check out this store for some goods. Asked the owner for some help, but he didn't seem friendly at all. Probably the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Not welcoming at all and isn't attentive to customers. Go elsewhere for your racket needs as this place isn't the friendliest or most inviting. I've been searching for the best badminton shuttlecocks to use for a while now, and this place popped up. I was tired of using Amazon as the best sellers shuttlecocks were of poor quality. They'd only last a game or two of casual play with my family. I called this place up and spoke with the lady who works here. She recommended I come in and purchase the Mavis 350 by Yonex shuttlecocks. These ones are used in high school sports teams and have the best durability, although they are plastic. Let's see how long these ones last! The location is prime in Cupertino and this place took decent COVID precautions. They seem to have an extensive supply of equipment when it comes to any racket sport, hence the name! I'll be coming back to edit my review in the future based on how long these shuttlecocks last. this is the only local store for table tennis I can find in bay area, maybe that is the reason that the guy in the shop is so arrogant. He was talking with the previous customer in Mandarin but when my friend and I entered the store, that guy refused to speak Mandarin. It's not a big deal to speak English in an English country but that guy was apprently intended to insult us, this was disgusting. Also that guy has poor expertise on table tennis and failed to give me any useful suggestion on choosing a tt blade. What he said regarding table tennis was completely not correct, maybe its just because he didn't want to make business with us. BTW, the blade and rubber sold in this store is overpriced, I didn't get chance to check if those stuffs are authentic but they are 30% more expensived then offical website. Another of my firend who went to the store to seek a tennis paddle also had a similar bad experience there. I personally will never return to this store and recommand anyone who is looking for tennis accessories to try other stores or just shop online. read more

This review is mostly for the stringing and the service that comes along with it. I've only had solid experiences from my string jobs here. They've carried everything I've looked for (Dunlop Black Widow, Gamma Live Wire, Wilson NXT Control) and string my tennis racquet to spec quickly. I've also bought balls, grips, and demoed a racquet. The people that work here are not the most chatty, but any time I've had a question, they've taken the time to give me an answer to help make my decision. Particularly the taller guy (sorry, don't remember names), he spent a good amount of time recommending different polys to try and explaining the differences between each of them. read more

I walked into this local store and found this shop is not welcoming. I should have read the yelp review before I stepped in. All tennis racquets are behind the counter, which is weird to me. To help customers choose a right racquet, the shop should either let people touch and swing it, or communicate to customers to find their needs. Apparently this shop does neither. They don't carry the newest racquets that are open for preorder, which means they are not top level distribution dealer. As for the tennis stringing, it's relatively cheap in Bay Area. However, I'll expect you get what you pay for. I talked to the guy and he didn't seem to know tennis racquet well. The conversation didn't give me much confidence for the string job. I'll chose other shops like lifetime tennis Sunnyvale or vu tennis to get a better job. read more

My friend came in here asking to demo "Nadal's racquet", and the clerk lied to him and gave him the Babolat Pure Aero "Team". If you're into tennis gear, you know that Nadal plays with a pro stock racquet that isn't sold at retail. When people ask for "Nadal's racquet", it's universally accepted that they want the latest Babolat Pure Aero; not the Team, not the VS, not the Tour, not the Lite, etc. When I told my friend he had the wrong racquet and to take it back to the shop, the clerk told him, "It's Nadal's LINE!". Didn't offer a refund or any legitimate explanation. This guy should know better than to hand the customer a "Team" racquet, and if he doesn't, he shouldn't be working in a tennis shop. If this place is willing to lie about a racquet over a $10 demo fee, they can't be trusted for anything else. Do yourselves a favor, and take your business to Vu Tennis on the other side of town. read more

Stringing: I've been coming to this place to get my (badminton) racket strung for a few years. The price is standard ($10 labor +cost of string) and even during high school badminton season, they still manage to to do one day stringing (drop it off after practice, pick it up the next day around the same time). You can pay an extra $5 if you want the stringing done same day, but I haven't been in a situation where that's necessary. The stringing quality is pretty good compared to other places. I hit pretty hard for a girl, and I string around 27lbs, so I go through strings pretty fast. Off season, my strings usually last at least 3-5 months (train once a week for 2 hours). During season, they last about a month and a half or so (playing 6 days a week for 2-4 hours a day). Merchandise: I also buy my grips here. The selection is pretty good. There's a variety of badminton and tennis grip to choose from (Wilson, Babolat, Yonex, Gamma, Head, Prince). The price isn't half bad either. I buy the alpha grips for ~$3/4 a pack, with three grips in a pack. read more

I have been a tennis customer here for many many years. I never had any bad experiences like some of the reviewers, but no great experiences either until tonight. I happened to look up their hours today and noticed all the bad reviews on yelp. I was going to be getting there about 10 mins before they close on a Sat evening so I thought, oh boy, they are going to be annoyed at me for showing up so late to buy a racket. That was not the case at all. They were very nice and extremely helpful. I knew what I wanted and was about to check out when I found out they are closed Sun and Mon for the holiday so I wouldn't be able to pickup my newly strung racket until Tuesday. Uh oh, this is a problem for me. The only time I have to practice for playofffs is this weekend. So I'm about to leave and try to buy the racket at a different tennis store tomorrow. Then the owner says if you can stick around I can string it for you now. WOW!!! I couldn't believe it. She stayed about 30 mins after closing on a Sat evening to string my new racket immediately. I am super super happy. And she was super friendly the whole time. I had phenomenal service from a place that has great racket prices and great stringing prices. I'm a happy customer and will keep going back for sure. read more

A nice store filled with tennis equipment (racquets, balls, grips, shoes, bags), badminton equipment, and table tennis equipment. I would say that this place is more knowledgeable in badminton than tennis. Their demo program for tennis racquets is great!! A program that I've used many times. You can demo up to 2 racquets at a time for 3 days for FREE! After that it is $5 per racquet per day after the 3 days. I was expecting to pay just to demo racquets but when I heard my favorite word, free, I was over ecstatic. There's a wall of racquets to chose from. They are not sorted in any particular order, so it may take you some time to go through to find what you want to try out. They have a nice range of the latest Babolat, Head, Prince, and Wilson. They don't have Yonex, Dunlop or other brands. On another wall, there are used and pre-owned racquets for sale. Some are by the store and others are by owners. Another neat program they offer is if you want to sell your racquet, they will hang it on their wall and if someone buys it they will collect the money for you. I didn't string my racquet here nor bought one, so I can't tell you the quality on that. I did check the pricing and it's a tad high and do have sales on select items. read more

This place is not welcoming for sure. But I did not come here expecting friendship so that's ok. But more importantly you cannot expect to have a feel of table tennis racket as they are in the plastic cases (and are in the window case and cannot be reached) and you cannot even hold them. I asked if I can hold some of them. He asked which one I wanted to try. I chose some and said the names. He gets them out of the window case but all are in the plastic case and I don't even have a sense of weight, hardness or grip. He says he cannot open it (as the rubber gets dry etc!) nor has sample racket to try. Well how about the ones without rubber? I wanted to choose blade and rubber separately if possible. I asked I cannot choose a blade that I would like without even holding it. The guy says it is the policy by the owner so he cannot open any of them. Well if this is how they want to do the business that is up to them. But I would not even think about coming here again nor recommend people to come here to buy a racket. read more

I should have read the reviews before going here. I paid almost $25 to get my racket restrung. After the first time I played the strings once again broke. A called them on my way home from the game to inform them. A lady picked up on a Sunday and said someone will get back to me- which they never did. Today I walked in there to show them the racket which was not strung properly and they wanted to recharge me. The guy was very very rude. His name was Lee. Do yourself a favor and don't do business with them. They are unethical and choose cheap strings. Just read all their reviews if you don't believe me. This place is ok. Anytime I don't get the female receptionist, experience is stellar. But any time I come across having to deal with her, it's never pleasant. In person or by phone, she always has made me and other people feel stupid. It's not that she's outright mean, but the way she handles people and her delivery of words are always very demeaning. One time I went in to consider purchasing a racket but she refused to come around from the front desk (it's only 5 steps mind you) to help me. This is the least welcome I have felt in a store in a long while. The female attendant showed pure contempt towards me for no reason. In hindsight it might have been because I was wearing loafers without socks and she was worried I would try on shoes without socks. Monday, April 27, 2019, I was driving to Swetka's in Mountain View to try the new Wilson Clash racquet.I am a frequent customer of Swetka's because I like their customer service and the owner (John) has become my friend. When I got there, the store was close. They are now close on Mondays, which was a surprise to me. Then I googled my smart phone to look for tennis store in the area. Then racquet supply popped up. I went to Cupertino to check this store. When I went in, a guy was stringing a racquet. I said hi and told him that I would like check the new Wilson clash racquet. He didn't even greet me. He just pointed his finger to the spot where the racquets for demo were. One by one, I checked each racquet if it was a Wilson Clash. The guy continued stringing. From that moment on, I felt negative energy in the store. I grabbed the racquet and told him that I would like to try it for demo. His breath, his words, his whole being flowed with negative energy as if I was not welcome. I left the store with the racquet feeling disappointed. Wednesday, May 1st 2019 at around 2:00 pm, I went to return the racquet. The guy was there stringing a racquet exactly the same thing he was doing the first time I went to the store. I said that I was going to return the racquet. He didn't attend to me right away. So I put the racquet on the counter. I thought I would just leave it there and go. Since they took a $200 deposit for demo, I asked him if the refund would automatically go to my card. He replied he would need to run my card again, which he did. Again, the negative energy of the guy manifested throughout the whole process. Then the phone rang, he tried to answer it but the caller hanged up on him. What he did was he slammed the phone in front of me and it slightly hit my finger. You can't do that in front your customer. Here is a guy who runs a business but doesn't have the right disposition of running it. Man oh man, just to give you a tip. If you would like to succeed in this kind of business. You need to have GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT. This is a basic human relations. Uncivilized people have this instinct but you were worse than uncivilized people. Oh! By the way. supplier is all they are, hence the name racket supply. maybe they have more than two staff but the staffs i've talked to know nothing about tennis, at least not as much experience as i have with tennis. a simple test would be to talk to them about an old racket i have from high school 20 years ago. i wanted to know which Babolat racket to get that would play very similar to my Prince Thunderstick and they had no idea what i was talking about. judging from the way they look they are about my age, but probably wasn't even into tennis because they also sell badminton and table tennis stuff. as a "supplier" they are decent with their selection of rackets and prices are the same as Tennis Warehouse, but without the knowledge and the lack of interest in what i(the customer) want, i am very disappointed. i would recommend another store: Game Set Match in sunnyvale. the store there only focuses on tennis and the older gentleman who helped me actually plays tennis for quite some time so he understands completely when i fired questions at him for a good 15-20 minutes. read more

These guys know their badminton. Lei Cai was very attentive when we were talking about which replacement racket I should be looking into. Rather than selling me one of the most expensive rackets he had, he suggested a very affordable racket around a hundred dollars for me. I've used the racket for several months now, it's very robust (survived many clashes) and it plays very sell for an offensive player like me. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and anybody that's looking for a racket store that won't dupe you. read more
