Vu's relocated and rebranded to racquet store. I was shocked when I browsed their online catalog and a huge selection of new tennis and pickleball rackets were on sale. A few months ago, I stopped by their physical store and it was pretty bare so that's why I was worried that they were clearing out to shut down since it's pretty unheard of to have sales on the latest gen rackets. The sale ended though and everything went back to full price so crisis averted! I ended up getting a pickleball paddle and am so happy about the discount. I'll have to stalk their website more frequently from now on! read more

Racquet Store has everything you need to start your tennis journey! My close friend introduced me to tennis and it has been my favorite form of cardio. I've been going to this place for almost a year and this is where I bought my first tennis racquet. Vu is so knowledgeable and you can ask this wizard anything about tennis and he'll always have an answer. Him and his team have been very consistent in stringing my racquets on time; so I can always rely on them. The prices are about the same anywhere else, but you'll find some good deals. It's always wonderful to support a family-business! If you want somewhere to start, go to Vu, he'll set up the essentials you need to get the tennis ball rolling. Don't do a demo program here, most of their rackets are a version older which aren't even available for sale anyways so I don't see the point of demoing them. The selection of new rackets is very poor, if you really need a good quality demo program try Sports Warehouse in MTV. read more

My Wilson Blade 98 US Open had a crack. Working with Wilson for a warranty when I noticed that the receipt dated 1/16/24 had a mistake of showing the Blade 98 Noir instead. We both don't know how it happened, but I told him that when I lost my tennis bag with several Blade 98 Bold 98S in Jan. On that day upon visiting his store, I fell in love with the limited edition of US Open and Roland Garros, I bought both. Vu, the owner was very accommodating in writing a letter explaining the case of mistake identity to help my return. Thank you Vu and I'll definitely come back to buy my next Blade racket, possibly the new V9 Blade 98 soon. read more

my boyfriend and I had such a great experience here. we came an hour before closing on Friday December 20th and the guy working was so nice, helpful, and just a genuine person. we ended up buying a racquet, strings, damper, shoes - the whole shabang highly recommend! we came for the wilson blades, but they have a great selection of high quality racquets as well as tennis shoes and nice bags. there's plenty of pickleball gear too from balls to paddles 10/10 experience. and there's a parking lot of the left side of the building! thanks racquet store! read more

We made the trip from the Central Valley for this joint as there is only a department store with an extremely limited selection of racquets on-hand. When you get here, you'll notice that they have invested heavily in having racquets of various types, grip sizes, etc. available to check out. (Check the picture.) 2nd picture: Our new Wilson Blade 98 w/grip size of 4 1/8". Thanks, Vu, for the excellent advice! The owner, Vu, and his team were outstanding at providing us outstanding advice. He went beyond his station to provide us tips after finding flaws and our grip style and coached us at no charge. He provided another bonus as well because we were first time shoppers. I do recommend their online store for sure as they strung my wife's new racquet perfectly. But if it's not too far out of the way, you MUST make the trip to Vu's Tennis Store. This is the best place for everything you need in tennis. They have the best deals in rackets, strings, balls, bags, and apparel. I'd say this is a great go-to for all things tennis! Good variety of all things bag/grip/racket (etc.) from some of the top name brands, all in one place. There are also shoes and a fair amount of shirts/shorts! Saves any ensuing goose-chase if you were to buy similar items to deck out a season, at a store like Big 5 Sporting goods. The staff are friendly and there should be no trouble selecting what you're looking for as a player; they'll be happy to walk you through what you need! I'd recommend coming at an earlier time/scheduling a pick-up date, if you want to avoid any waiting when picking up your racket, though! Was told the stringing would take an hour and it had yet to be strung when I came back an 1:30h later! Would definitely come back for any further purchases! read more

Discovered Vu Tennis on one of Vu's post. Didn't know there was a tennis shop in SJ. They are few left. Spoke to Vu over the phone and went to his shop. This shop is amazing he has excellent customer service and very knowledgeable. Vu' Tennis has a huge selection of everything for tennis ranging from rackets, strings, bags, and accessories. As a pickleball coach, I am constantly going through footwear quickly. Even worse, I have wide feet and there are very few options online. I was excited to happen upon Vu's Tennis store and he pointed out some shoes I would have never previously considered because they don't market them in wide widths. I happened to visit this place when they used to be in Downtown San Jose. Glad they are around and is my definite local shop for all my tennis needs. Took a 3-4 year hiatus from tennis, and needed to get my racquet strung before playing again. With tennis being one of the better sports to play during the pandemic, it made it much easier to get back into tennis. Didn't hesitate to take my racquet to Vu Tennis Also since my racquet was older, I was in the market for a new one. Ended up doing the rental program for a new Wilson racquet, and ultimately purchased the same racquet afterwards! Overall, great experience and will continue to buy my tennis products from here! read more

Did tennis racket stringing the second time. Left the racket a week ago and paid in advance. When I went to pick it up they had not worked on it! The strong racket makes strange noise at each play. This is the worst ever racket stringing service used. read more

I have been coming to this tennis shop for over five years. It was on E. Santa Clara Street but it moved to its current location, where there are plenty of parking. The owners are friendly and honest. Vu, the owner, has a great deal of knowledge of the game and its equipment & he is willing to communicate with you and share his vast knowledge. Upon entering I was greeted immediately and found that the World Cup section was directly upfront by the registers which was great, but I wasn't successful in finding the pin, so the cashier tried helping look for it and we had no luck. They doubled check to see if there were any in the back, but there weren't. I was told it's here but misplaced somewhere else and they had no clue. I was on the hunt for this pin and no other locations at Dicks had it except for the Sunnyvale location. I was disappointed I couldn't get the pin, but the people here were really nice and tried to locate it.

Instead of trying to help or explaining the store's policy professionally, he responded with an attitude that made an already disappointing situation much worse. I drove to the Westfield location Thursday evening around 7 PM, through heavy traffic, specifically to purchase this jacket as a gift for a family member only to be told upon arrival that the jacket was not on sale. The associate who assisted me, Cindy, was dismissive and unhelpful including visible eye-rolling, which made an already frustrating situation worse. When I asked for clarification, the manager supported the associate's position rather than addressing the inconsistency. I was even told that a jacket I had just purchased on sale earlier that same day at the Stanford location was somehow not on sale at Westfield despite being the exact same item. At that point, I felt pressured and exhausted, so I purchased the jacket at full price just to be done with the situation. The following day, I went back to the Stanford North Face and explained what had happened. Within minutes they acknowledged the error, refunded half of what I paid. Their professionalism and customer service were outstanding and a complete contrast to my experience at Westfield. Why couldn't it be like this at Westfield?! Because of this, I highly recommend shopping at the Stanford North Face location. They were respectful, efficient, and transparent and they honored sale pricing that Westfield was selling at full price.

You can set up an appointment online or use the kiosk when you get there. If you're picking up or purchasing a firearm, I'd definitely set aside about an hour to an hour and a half because it can take some time. The gun counter line closes at 8 PM on weekdays, so keep that in mind. The employees I dealt with were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the process. Overall, a really good experience.

With rows and rows of tackle, I am able to find most lake specific lures, weights, bait, hooks, etc. Sometimes I have to go to the store at the lake itself and get even more specific items, but BPS usually has what I need. Whenever I enter the store, the personnel always ask if I need help or direct me to the area where more specific help can be found. Moreover, the store is dog friendly and has dog treats at the ready. Occasionally, BPS will host a Monday club night whereby if you are a BPS club member, you can stand in line to get a light meal and enter a raffle to win items, but I recommend you go early and stand in line or else there will be no more food left.

We booked the bike about a week in advance for a full day for $65, and it was ready for pickup when we arrived. The staff did a safety inspection and let us know that helmets are included with the rental and that we could return the bike to any Sports Basement location. My friend also asked if they could leave their backpack there, and the staff kept it behind the desk, which was really nice. The bike was in good condition! We rode it for 4-5 hours with no issues. A few things I wanted to point out - the seat was pretty narrow and hard, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. It had been a while since I last biked, so I'm not sure if I just need to wear padded shorts or if the seat wasn't the right fit for me. Another thing is that I couldn't sit in the front because the seat was too tall for me to comfortably reach the pedals, and there didn't seem to be an easy way to adjust the height. Lastly, it would've been nice to have a phone mount on the handlebar for navigation. We turned in the bike at the end of the day. Overall, the process was very smooth, the staff were friendly, and the rental was affordable. I would do it again, but I'd wear padded shorts next time :)

I just bookmarked for a couple of years, and I finally visited it. My boyfriend and I along with his doggie were having a day out in Santa Cruz. I told him that we should visit this place so that we can swing on the beach. He was down for it, but once we found the way to get down to it--he said, "No way, I'm doing that." I *did* not let that stop me from going down there to experience the swing though. My boyfriend and his doggie stayed at the top of the cliff and watched me climbed down to the beach. Yes, it was pretty treacherous. Thank goodness there was a rope with knots to hold onto. Otherwise, I don't think I would be able to do it successfully without that lifesaver rope. Thank you so much to whoever secured that rope there! Also, I do want to point out I did this in a dress and flipflops?! Crazy right.. Then again.. I'm crazy, I do admit it. ;) There were a four gals and guys down there chilling. I asked them if there was another way to get in and out of here, but they confirm that that was the only way in and out. I got to swing on the swing and took some videos. The swing looked cool from the photos that I seen, but it doesn't swing well straight. It does swing sideways. Lol... It took me about 7 minutes to go down and about 4 minutes to climb back up. I know this because my boyfriend recorded me. Lol... I'm very grateful that I was determined to do this despite the company that I had didn't want to do it. Years ago I let someone that I was with who didn't want to do it influence me to also not do it when we visitied Alamere Falls so I won't let that happen anymore. If there is something I want to do, it's okay to do it alone when other people don't want to do it. That's on self-love, baby! There is two parking areas. We initially parked in the one right across the post office, but then we follow this group to the other one right next to it because it was closer. We walked across the railroad tracks and found the opening to the climb to the beach. I was sore for a few days afterwards in my legs from climbing the side of the cliff, but oh gosh... It was so worth it!

And when I cruise down leisurely down this glorious highway, I won't just gun the vehicle and go from destination to destination. I like to randomly stop at little towns, beaches, roadhouse eateries that's dotted along the way. There are so many beaches on highway 1. I'm still exploring around myself. Pulled in onto this beach as they had a big parking area on the cliffside. This is in-between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay, super close to the road that you can take to go to Big Basin. This is not a lying around type of beach. It is very raw and very windy for some reason. Lots of seabirds on parts of the beach, lots of stranded seaweed and due to the wind, lots of white water surf. And a big attraction here actually is due to the surf and wind conditions. Lots of surfers and wind-surfers here that it'll catch your eye even from the highway. Wind surfers are these skilled and brave souls that go out in rough seawater with a parachute like apparatus connected to them, as so they can take flight and take leaps almost at bird level. And they are able to surf more waves without being pounded by rough waves, as they are able to jump from wave to wave via air/wind. Even tho it was too windy for me to sit out there for longer than 30 minutes, it was a blast watching these guys bounce and float around in what would otherwise be dangerous waters. I'm eventually going to knock out all the beaches from Santa Cruz to Half Moon Bay, and this one was a special one to knock out.

Found this place on Craigslist and i'm coming here from now on. they only charge 10 dollars for labor and you get to pick it up on the same day!! Scan the store a little bit, They don't seem to have a lot of selections. mostly just rackets, shoes, and lots and lots of strings. I was dazed when they asked me to pick out the string I like from the display. they just carry too many strings. I dont know if I will ever try all these strings out. what impressed me most was the racket prices. every racket was 10 dollars cheaper than tenniswarehouse. the guy who work there also said new racket purchase will get free string and free labor. and with that I'm probably gonna come here when I want a new racket. Staff was friendly. the bad thing about this place was parking. It's hard to find a parking spot here. and there is no clothes at all. The guy said it was just open a few months ago. I live in Milpitas but I usually come to DHL tennis whenever I need my racquets restrung because I trust their fancy machines and their professionalism. They have a big selection of racquets, strings, bags, shoes, etc. But I sort of go in and out within 5 minutes. After watched the final French Open match Djokovic vs Nadal today, I convinced myself to upgrade new weapon, hopefully I will play like Nadal :-) Carefully check online prices, I'm shocked to know that they offer me the same price as online price and give me a free tennis bag or tennis shoes if I buy a pair of racquets. No need to say, I took the deal and get me a matching color tennis bag ( not the free cover comes with the racquet, a real 6 pack bag.) I don't know how long this deal gonna last , but I got 2 racquets and free tennis bag. I'm good to go now. read more

If you need to get your tennis racquet restrung, dhltennis is definitely the place to go to because service is quick and cheap. I sort of stumbled across their website dhltennis.com when I was searching online. They gave me same day service and labor was only $10! That's way way lower than other places. I saw that their prices on racquets and other items in the store are below tenniswarehouse prices also, but I don't need a racquet at this time. Maybe for my next upgrade I'll buy one from them. read more

It would be $13 labor + $7 strings + $2 express = yes please! He closes on Sundays and Mondays too, so we caught him just in time. The sign of the store says Sunrise Pure Water, and it's tiny inside. He asks what strings you want and your desired tension. Thank goodness we had cash, since this place is cash only. So happy with the super fast turnaround!

After about 10 minutes of researching, the only address I could find associated with this business was on E. McKinley Ave. in Sunnyvale. Since I need the racquets restrung by Thursday, I decided to drive over there. When I arrived, I realized it was a residential neighborhood, not a tennis shop or commercial business. I called the number, and it went straight to voicemail, with a message telling me to leave a message to make an appointment. Seriously? If this is essentially someone operating a restringing business out of their garage, that's completely fine - but please SAY THAT upfront. Don't make it look like you have an actual 24-hour business location when you don't. I wasted a ridiculous amount of time trying to track this place down today. The highly rated reviews were what convinced me to try them, but based on this experience, I won't be wasting any more time with them. Too much of a hassle when I can just walk into Sports Warehouse and get it done without any issues. So yeah, not for me!
