That being said, I came in to get my back tire replaced. I had the replacement tire, and they put it on without issue only charging me for the labor. I came back to get it that same day (which was amazing) while picking it up I asked if they could pump up the tires. The staff did so without complain, but while inflating the tires noticed that the front tire wouldn't hold air (this was a new problem) and neither would the back tire. They replaced the back tire tube free of charge, and I bought an additional tube for the front. While walking back I casually asked if this would be covered under the original labor price? He replied "no" that I would be required to pay a new labor fee if I wanted them to work on the front tire. I don't blame the staff for this poor experience I blame the owners that made this policy and enforced it to the point that the staff didn't feel like they had any leeway whatsoever. if I was asking them to do significantly more labor, I would have gladly paid the additional price. My great experience was completely soured by the end. I will not be returning to this shop regardless of how good the staff is with owners that enforce such anti-consumer policies.

My husband had to spend four days at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo for broken vertebrae, ribs and sternum. I had to retrieve the broken bikes from the tow yard 2.5 hours away and then figure out how to fly back to California. So glad I called Hangar 5 in Orem! Preston Weeks answered my call/cry for help and graciously greeted me in my rental van with all the contents of our road trip including the broken bikes. He took the dirty bikes from the van and agreed to clean them up and inspect the damage, which allowed me to fly back to California with my husband. Two days later he sent us a detailed inventory of damages to the frame and components for each bike. Subsequently he meticulously packed up both bikes and parts at our request and shipped them back to us so that we could salvage all that was still usable. Since we are not local to Orem, it was exceptional to experience this level of consideration and service. All of you locals are very lucky to have such an amazing bike shop and team members like Preston Weeks to take care of your cycling needs. Great concept and new location…read more These guys moved from a small leased garage to a much bigger abandoned business on the East side of Provo in 2016. They are a DIY shop where bikers of all ages come to buy, donate and refurbish bikes. First time going I spent three hours working on a used Raleigh road bike. There is usually 2-3 staff members around and one will usually greet you. The trick here is to Quickly ask questions, find a spot to work at and be patient. The guy working admitted that he wasn't very experienced but together we fixed the bad wheel. Spent about $20 for his assistance. A week later the wheel was off again. I brought it back (2 hours more) and worked on it with a more experienced guy. Spent another $20 Rode it once and off again. Recently found out that they gave me the wrong wheel. Went back but no wheel was available. Great concept and open on Saturdays. You can also donate used bikes here.

There was one package price listed. I ordered them as such. I then received a shipping notification for the bindings with a separate price. I called immediately to cancel the order as I knew that having bindings mounted was not cheap. This was not what I budgeted for. I was told that everything was shipped, so the order could not be cancelled, but to call back when I received everything for an adjustment or to return the equipment. Btw, when ordering I was offered a 15% coupon, but then at checkout was told it didn't apply to my order. When I received the order, I checked with local ski shops and $100 was the lowest price I could find for mounting. I spent a half hour on the phone with a polite, understanding customer service rep inquiring about some type of credit. $25 was the offer. I pointed out how the ad was misleading, an offered coupon was not honored, and it would cost them more if I returned everything. I simply wanted at least half of the mounting cost reimbursed. The most frustrating aspect of this customer service interaction was that a supervisor will not get on the phone. The poor rep had to keep going back and forth. When she told me she could escalate the issue to a supervisor, I readily agreed, but she pointed out they would respond by email! THEY WILL NEVER GET ON THE PHONE AND SPEAK WITH SOMEONE!!! Since there were none available in my size, I received a refund (based on package pricing (about $80). If I want to get a larger size boot, I need to select another model/brand and pay the regular (non-package deal price), which means will need to spend approximately $200 more for a comparable boot, not including the $44 it cost to ship the first pair back. I do not recommend purchasing boots if you are not absolutely sure of the size you need. When I asked about the return, customer service said "We always recommend to go in and try different boots on before purchasing online". I was never given (nor saw online) this recommendation.

When I tried to inflate it, the tube popped at only **10 psi**, indicating a faulty installation. **Bike #2:** The experience with my wife's bike was even worse. The quote spiraled from a tune-up to a total of $365 as they continually found "new" problems, including issues with a derailleur that had zero problems previously. **Customer Service:** Jerry's communication style is aggressive and condescending. When I questioned the mounting costs, he used scare tactics, repeatedly telling me the bike was "dangerous" and "unsafe to ride" to pressure me into more repairs. When I tried to voice my concerns about being nickel-and-dimed during this three-week ordeal, I was laughed at and hung up on three separate times. I was even insulted personally when he told me he "would have never let his bike get this bad." This shop relies on upselling through fear and has zero respect for its customers.
