Just yesterday I had a $45 order, all I had was a hundred on me, the cashier asked if I had something smaller, I did not, she called "V" over & she asked the same question, I said NO, sorry. She said I would end up with a bunch of $1's, I said no problem, she came back with like 50 $1's & some $5's - she told the cashier, the RULE is you have to use the $1's first. Well the cashier did not listen to her & gave me $5's. As I was walking out, I swear she went into a victory dance. (Not knowing I got $5's instead of $1's) I am contacting corporate - that was the final straw. Really "Rule", she sounded stupid, that's the RULE. Imagine a manger behaving that way.

The owner, Jordan, is truly one of the kindest and most welcoming people you'll meet. He clearly loves the hobby and genuinely cares about making sure everyone has a great experience, whether you're brand new or a longtime player. The store itself is fantastic. They have dedicated demo stations where you can: * learn how to play the game * learn how to paint your first miniatures That alone makes getting started way less intimidating. The selection is excellent too, including a full range of Citadel paints. And if there's ever something they don't have in stock, there's an in-store ordering station where you can get exactly what you need directly from Games Workshop. They also have two large terrain tables set up for hobby meetups and games, and there's clearly a strong community forming around the shop. Honestly, this place is special. But with their rising cost for pre-releases and the insane low balling they have given me when asking for trade ins I have been going to other stores more now especially since their move into Northridge. This is a great place to play, especially when your bringing your own deck but any limited format is a higher price than average. We shouldn't let these stores normalize these prices. I can only speak on MTG pricing and trades I have no idea if this is the same for Pokemon and Lorcana etc. I do build Gunpla and their Gunpla pricing is pretty fair but I feel like the Gunpla is really just an afterthought at this store and the sets they have on display are not anything to write home about. I don't remember seeing them selling a bunch of tools to help builders step up their building either. I would much rather buy from a Hobby Shop that's actually dedicated to the craft.

Also a lot of them smell really bad, it's becoming a serious issue at larger events. The 40K community is fantastic, though and so is the D&D and other misc games. Great store, highly recommend.

I found the same item through Walmart for $187.99, with the seller listed as Cash Cards Unlimited. Before driving to the store, I actually called to confirm that this was their listing and specifically asked whether they would honor the same price in-store. I was told yes we have two on the shelf left. Based on that conversation, I drove to the store expecting to make the purchase. Unfortunately, when I got there and was ready to check out, I was told they would not honor the price I had been told over the phone and was the same worker that I spoke with over the phone. I asked to speak with a manager, and the store manager/boss was contacted by phone, but I was still told they would not honor it. What made this especially frustrating wasn't even the relatively small price difference. I explained that I had already spent more money on gas and my time driving there because I was specifically told over the phone that the price would be honored. At that point, honoring the price would have been a simple way to make things right and provide good customer service. Instead, I walked out without making the purchase. They didn't just lose the sale -- they lost a customer and turned what could have been a positive experience into a very poor one. If a customer calls ahead, confirms the price, and is told to come in because the price will be honored, I believe the store should stand behind what its employee told the customer. The issue wasn't the few dollars; it was being told one thing, making the trip based on that information, and then being told something completely different when I arrived. Very disappointing customer service.

Instead of just kindly asking her to put her shoes on, he was abrupt and harsh enough that she looked like she was about to cry. That was enough for them--they turned around and left without buying anything. It's a shame, because places like this should be encouraging kids to enjoy the hobby, not making them feel unwelcome over something that could have been handled in two seconds with a little kindness. We'll be taking our business somewhere that actually makes the experience fun.
