Because of the state of my health I couldn't possibly endanger myself due to my low immune system, so I didn't participate in the outdoor classes. For awhile I attended Zoom classes with the two studios I belonged to. It was so difficult to keep the motivation going so I ultimately dropped both memberships. My sweet husband knew that exercising is my solace and my church. It helps me be a better person, inside and out. Being a researcher he is, he found me the Peloton app. I was able to take Barre, Pilates, Bootcamps etc. During the shutdown I would retreat into my exercise room, listen to fun music and get my Yaya's out. Talk about mood elevating. Then the surprise came, my very own shiny Peloton plus bike. Talk about excitement. That meant I could get rid of my old Spin bike!! Yeah meeee! I also have a treadmill so I've been able to participate in the running classes. It's been a life changer for me. It's allowed me to not step in another studio so I can keep Covid free. The instructors are great. They have skill sets I pull from and different personalities that makes me thrive. We have two kids under two with really limited time. I also don't feel comfortable in gyms due to Covid. I went to the TO location to purchase shoes that I could use on my friends Peloton. After talking with them and learning about the zero interest for three years and discount for first responders (husband is in healthcare), I decided this would be a good investment in myself and family. My bike was delivered in three days and the delivery staff set it up and showed us how to use it. I can't say enough about the quality of staff and the ease of the entire process. We love our bike and my only regret was not doing this sooner!

I liked Petrie's Sportive model since it zips from the back and Gillian endorsed that preference. She recommended that I go to the nearest Dover Saddlery shop for extra measurements which I did. After Gillian received the measurements she offered extremely valuable input on tweaking the measurements to ensure that the fit of the boots was right. Gillian sharing her personal experience in selecting and breaking in a pair of tall boots was reassuring. As the photo shows, I bought a great looking pair of boots. Saddles, bridles, boots galore, coats, apparel... you name it. It was amazing to go here. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. Horse people can be the biggest snobs (love 'em to death and I'm one of them but it's true) and dressage has that reputation. But the staff here was so accommodating, showed me a variety of items and price points, and made sure I knew what prices the items I was looking at were (when the didn't have price tags) without making it seem like I couldn't afford that, which is not the easiest of feats. Deb was the lady who helped me and she spent tons of time with me on boots, whips, and more. Will absolutely go there again.

They have various speeds of pitching, and we started off at 35 (the slowest), but we actually both found the 40 to be much easier and more hittable. The speeds go all the way to 75mph. They pitch both baseballs and softballs. They lent us the bats and helmets for free. I know we'll be going back!

(Needed for a road trip). The sales associate looked up my order and while she grabbed it we window shopped around the showroom floor. Ended up also getting 2 paires of stainless steel loop tie-downs. Its in SoCal so its semi convenient for pick up or they do shipping deals as well. I don't have thier roof rack but with the correct rack hardware (t-slot nuts) most of thier stuff should work with other extruded aluminum roof racks.

Five years later they've moved into a bigger location, and our boys still love riding over to The Hub Bike Shop. I swear we've probably bought over 20 inner tubes from them by now. The entire staff is so friendly and always willing to go above and beyond, whether it's helping with a repair, fixing a flat, or just making the kids feel welcome. It's more than just a bike shop.
