Customer service, I bought my fiancé a bike and wanted to surprise her for a ride this weekend and the guy at the register said he can have the bike ready by Tuesday! I only needed the seat and handle bars raised 3 inches! A 5 minute job when it was 1130am and there was nobody in the area just us 2. I will never support that kind of store again! No to mention i rode 3 miles in 90 degrees. Better to just invest in your own tool kit than to go to these guys for ANY help. read more

Came In 2 nights ago for a full tune up on my mountain bike. I was greeted by the owner. Super cool guy and extremely knowledgeable in the field. He hooked up! He threw on some awesome pedals, changed my break pads and (he told me he doesn't clean bikes) but he returned mine in SHOWROOM condition!!! Definitely my go to for now on. I'm new to the area and needed some help with handlebars for my BMX bike. I had to wait a minute (no sarcasm here, it truly was just a minute) while the owner finished with his current customers and answered the phone. Nick was helpful, friendly and welcoming to everyone. I got the impression that he cares about everyone's bike and everyone's situation. Great vibes. He's also a BMX Old Schooler so he showed me some classics that he had in his shop. All in all, a great place with some great, quality products from complete bikes to parts to some tools. 805 Bicycles looks to have it all covered! One of the last bike shops around that actually has a BMX section that consists of more than just a shelf in the corner. I know there's all kinds of modern, hi tech "grown up" bikes made nowadays, and 805 bikes has those, too. But I like my 20in wheeled BMX bikes and I like looking at the parts I'm buying in person, and this is one of the only shops left that I know of where you can do that, so I give them all the support I can. read more

We stopped by 805.Bicycles today to find a bike for my 10 year old granddaughter. I asked for a 20 inch beach cruiser which they had but John who helped me said he thought my granddaughter would outgrow it quickly and should have a 24 inch bike. John was kind enough to show her the 24 inch bike, he adjusted the seat and helped her petal. John was right, the 24 inch bike was the right size. Although we didn't purchase a bike today (my granddaughter didn't like the color) we will be back for sure! Spent half the day driving shop to shop from Thousand Oaks to the San Fernando valley. I was starting to get a little discouraged when I couldn't find what I was looking for and if I did, it wasn't in my budget. My boyfriend and I decided to just swing by 805 bicycles as our last stop. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and John dropped everything he was doing and showed me some options in a bike I was looking for. He was able to order it and have it on Tuesday! At a really reasonable price too!! A lot of the shops I went to prior charged for assembly but John not only assembled it but even delivered it to my work because I wasn't able to pick it up that day like I would've liked. Got a flat from my ride this morning and they were able to fix it within 5 minutes. Idk if $20 is a lot for a tube replacement but I was definitely happy for the quick service. While the couple running the shop was very nice, they did offer to allow my son to take a test ride on a bike in the parking lot and did offer the use of a loaner helmet, it was a bit odd that they were not wearing face masks. It was especially odd because they are older and are at great potential risk. This is a proper corner bike shop! Family spirit, great knowledge and super fair. We were after service, advice and parts in stock. I was recommended to bring my Son's BMX race bike to this shop for some tune ups and advice on sizing and gearing. It was quickly apparent we have found our shop. In the 20 minutes it takes us to drive to this shop, I probably drove past 40 bike shops to get to this one... (and as a life long bike enthusiast, I have had my fair share of poor, up-sell and clueless sales and service experiences. NOT HERE!).
