Such a rad shop! Old school/new school bmx and mtb goodies. Top notch knowledgable customer service. They went out of their way to help out with some bb bearings and were more than fair on the price too. Couldn't ask for more. Good selection of parts with pre-loved items and bikes also available! 5 stars for sure. Support your LBS and go buy some stuff! read more

I've gone in to see Nick several times for miscellaneous parts and services. Every time has been a great experience. If he doesn't have it in stock, he'll get it to ya within a week. Service turnaround and price have been exceptional as well. read more

Truly great shop for BMX. Owner is great and knows his stuff. I'm an older guy at 43 getting back into BMX on a bigger bike and this place has EVERYTHING. Perfect place to upgrade and customize my bike. My son's too! Highly recommended. read more

Nice shop, which was in a new bigger and better location, excellent and friendly service. So nice to not have the usual snobby attitude that most bike shops seem to have these days. They were well stocked and carried a killer brand of Mtb bikes that no one else around here has... and In response to another comment on here... you can definitely not find that brand on Amazon ! This is no middleman shop. read more

Doors were locked on Saturday at 5:30 pm even though door says they close at 7. I wouldn't complain usually buy they aren't open sundays and Mondays so a lil annoying read more

They are only a middleman. Go to Amazon! Prices are outrageous. The staff doesn't do anything to please the customers. No care in the world. I felt like I was bothering them. read more

Customer service, I bought my fiancé a bike and wanted to surprise her for a ride this weekend and the guy at the register said he can have the bike ready by Tuesday! I only needed the seat and handle bars raised 3 inches! A 5 minute job when it was 1130am and there was nobody in the area just us 2. I will never support that kind of store again! No to mention i rode 3 miles in 90 degrees. Better to just invest in your own tool kit than to go to these guys for ANY help. read more

This shop is the best! Brought my bike in for a tune-up, was given an accurate time estimate, very fair prices, and the owner answered all my questions. The owner is very knowledgeable and direct, he doesn't try to upsell you, he just helps you find exactly what you need/want and the quality of his work is superb. I highly recommend 805 Bicycles. read more

Came In 2 nights ago for a full tune up on my mountain bike. I was greeted by the owner. Super cool guy and extremely knowledgeable in the field. He hooked up! He threw on some awesome pedals, changed my break pads and (he told me he doesn't clean bikes) but he returned mine in SHOWROOM condition!!! Definitely my go to for now on. Also he is running some INSANE prices on full-suspension mountain bikes. Check this place out! read more

I'm new to the area and needed some help with handlebars for my BMX bike. I had to wait a minute (no sarcasm here, it truly was just a minute) while the owner finished with his current customers and answered the phone. Nick was helpful, friendly and welcoming to everyone. I got the impression that he cares about everyone's bike and everyone's situation. Great vibes. He's also a BMX Old Schooler so he showed me some classics that he had in his shop. All in all, a great place with some great, quality products from complete bikes to parts to some tools. 805 Bicycles looks to have it all covered! I'm glad I'm only a few minutes from my new favorite bicycle shop! read more

Straightforward bike repair and a nice guy. It was fixed in two days compared to the week I was expecting from other reviews/places. Would highly recommend. My only nitpick is it would be nice to get an estimate beforehand, but I guess you're supposed to ask for one. I had no problems with this visit. read more

We stopped by 805.Bicycles today to find a bike for my 10 year old granddaughter. I asked for a 20 inch beach cruiser which they had but John who helped me said he thought my granddaughter would outgrow it quickly and should have a 24 inch bike. John was kind enough to show her the 24 inch bike, he adjusted the seat and helped her petal. John was right, the 24 inch bike was the right size. Although we didn't purchase a bike today (my granddaughter didn't like the color) we will be back for sure! Don't order a bike online for a child, shop local and get the right service and more importantly the right bike Oh....and don't forget to pet the friendly dog who greets you at the door read more

One of the last bike shops around that actually has a BMX section that consists of more than just a shelf in the corner. I know there's all kinds of modern, hi tech "grown up" bikes made nowadays, and 805 bikes has those, too. But I like my 20in wheeled BMX bikes and I like looking at the parts I'm buying in person, and this is one of the only shops left that I know of where you can do that, so I give them all the support I can. read more

Want to send a huge thanks to @probmxer1 at 805 Bicycles in Simi Valley for doing an awesome job on my wheel build , the turn around during this busy time was so appreciated, and there Bmx race bike knowledge and race parts in stock was sick these are going to look sweet on my read more

If I could give a zero rate I would, bought some handle grips for a knee scooter, I'm disabled, I ask for help taking old ones and putting on new. Just a flat out rude NO. The Simi community is sure going to miss Rick at Ricks Bikes, he was always so helpful and pleasant. RIP Rick Owner of 805 bikes of Simi Valley, not so nice, customer service sucked. read more

I spent about an hour and a half in here with my young son today. Nick the owner was incredibly communicative, polite and informative. Not once did I feel like I was being sold, more like an old friend helping me with new bike purchases. I was shown several size bikes for my boy and the selection was really good for kids. Then it was my turn to find a new bike. There were several high end models and Nick did not steer me to the most expensive ones. He talked to me about what features and frame construction created the price differences and brought each bike down from its display for me to look at. I was encouraged to try any bike out (even the expensive ones)in the parking lot. Nick was super cool with my son and I and we ended up leaving with two new bikes and accessories. I would absolutely recommend Nick and 805 Bicycles if you want to deal with a shop that has an owner with integrity and who appreciates his community and customers. Thanks Nick, I definitely appreciated all of your time today and patience with all my questions. read more

Spent half the day driving shop to shop from Thousand Oaks to the San Fernando valley. I was starting to get a little discouraged when I couldn't find what I was looking for and if I did, it wasn't in my budget. My boyfriend and I decided to just swing by 805 bicycles as our last stop. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon and John dropped everything he was doing and showed me some options in a bike I was looking for. He was able to order it and have it on Tuesday! At a really reasonable price too!! A lot of the shops I went to prior charged for assembly but John not only assembled it but even delivered it to my work because I wasn't able to pick it up that day like I would've liked. I can't say enough about this shop. Proud I could help a local business and even ended the day with an amazing ride on summer solstice. Thank you, thank you, thank you John!! P.S. John also has some sweet shop pups ;) read more

If you're looking for a Bmx bike or Bmx parts this is your store they have parts in stock more than I've seen at any store I've been to. It is a little hole in the wall, but it's full with inventory. He won't have everything and you may need to order but he has more than most. Go check it out. read more

Went to get a tune up for my bike and some parts. No masks. No social distancing. Complete disregard for safety protocols.

Bought a new Mountain bike and the owner changed out several items for me without hitting me for the extra labor. A profound gesture. He also said to bring it back after it breaks in and he would perform a tune-up, once again free of charge. A class act. Highly recommend this local business read more

Bought my Kona Dew from here. Great place to work with. The owner is always very kind and knowledgeable. Always great and fair prices too.

This is a proper corner bike shop! Family spirit, great knowledge and super fair. We were after service, advice and parts in stock. I was recommended to bring my Son's BMX race bike to this shop for some tune ups and advice on sizing and gearing. It was quickly apparent we have found our shop. In the 20 minutes it takes us to drive to this shop, I probably drove past 40 bike shops to get to this one... (and as a life long bike enthusiast, I have had my fair share of poor, up-sell and clueless sales and service experiences. NOT HERE!). I will continue to do so and support small businesses who understand customer service, bike-mechanicals and have the knowledge base that large stores have lost. We will be back. Thanks! read more

First off 5 stars for the crew that works here! I bought a bike here fairly priced and the only one I could find for a 29", and bought a two seater bike trailer. Thank you for the service, you have my business. They also work on bike that need repairs read more

I love this bike store. John is super helpful and spends time with you. I've been to other bike stores in this city and they aren't as nice or helpful. And if John tells you he's gonna call you, he does. I recently purchased a bike from this store and now plan on going back and getting more bikes for the entire family. read more

Got a flat from my ride this morning and they were able to fix it within 5 minutes. Idk if $20 is a lot for a tube replacement but I was definitely happy for the quick service. Yea I'm seeing a lot of bad reviews for not wearing masks but that should never be the sole reason to give them a bad review. They're a bike shop. Rate them on how well they fix your bike or anything related to bikes. read more

While the couple running the shop was very nice, they did offer to allow my son to take a test ride on a bike in the parking lot and did offer the use of a loaner helmet, it was a bit odd that they were not wearing face masks. It was especially odd because they are older and are at great potential risk. I would give them a higher rating for customer service if they just took the smaller step to protect themselves and their customers. read more

Had a great customer experience today. Went into the ship and Mike was super helpful and friendly. Let me try riding multiple bikes and see which one I liked. Was patient as I tried a couple bikes, multiple times. Friendly to chat with. Was nice enough to install the accessories I purchased and threw in a free water bottle. The bike would not fit in my trunk, so he was nice enough to drive the bike to my place. Highly recommend this place if you are looking to get a bike or any bike accessories. read more
