My nephew had been getting left behind his friends on their daily ride to/fro middle school because his bike was broken. So I took it over to Bike Nerd and asked if he could fix it not knowing this is a very high end bike shop. It was like bringing a Honda into a Mercedes dealer lol. The guy said they really don't do that kind of thing but he was super cool and fixed it on the spot and charged a very fair price. My nephew was thrilled when I brought him his bike! He took off straight away to meet up with his friends. It made me so happy. One last thing.... I really liked the vibe of the father/son who are running the shop. I was getting ready to go on an organized mountain bike ride when I discovered that my derailleur wasn't working properly and needed to be tuned, just an hour before I was supposed to leave. I called several bike shops in Simi Valley and explained the situation, emphasizing that the repair was time-sensitive. Unfortunately, every shop I called said they couldn't help me and the earliest they could look at my bike would be in two days. Then I remembered another shop off of Kuehner. I called The Bicycle Nerd Elite and spoke with Paul. Despite being very busy, he told me to bring the bike in so he could take a look. I took my bike to his shop, and he promptly started inspecting and troubleshooting it. Once he identified the problem, he put my bike up on a repair stand, fixed the derailleur, and tuned it. Thanks to him, my bike was fixed in time for the ride. I highly recommend visiting his shop. I am very thankful! read more

Great bike shop! This shop is all about the customer and they treat you that way. I called looking to buy two Niner RLT9 gravel bikes and Paul knows his stuff. He has been selling Niners since their beginning so he figured out the right size bikes over the phone. I drove from LA and the bikes we're proudly displayed in the center of the store when we arrived! His son helped put our pedals on and we took the bikes for a test ride. I was going to a meeting in Simi Valley on this day and so I Googled bicycle shops and this one came up. Not being from the area I just went with the closest to where I was going. I was pleased with all the product they had in their not so large store. From clothes and shoes to bicycle parts. What I really liked was that they were open on Monday! what a concept. I was going to ride a local mtb trail after my meeting so the bike was with me. The gentlemen that was in at the time, I have forgotten his name at the moment, was really knowledgeable about what he thought the problem was and asked if I could leave the bike and promised me it would be done in 2 hours. So I left the bike. I went back and my bike was ready and I was told all the creaking sounds were gone. The other worker, (younger gentlemen), I didn't catch his name, explained everything he had done to the bike to fix the problem. I then mentioned I was interested in shoes and he pointed out some shoes and brought one from the back that wasn't on display. The customer service and knowledge of product was excellent here. I really felt I was being taken care of as a guest. I do plan on returning to this bicycle shop in the very near future to purchase some more stuff! I asked about the local trail I wanted to ride and both guys informed me about it. I went and rode the trail exactly how they mentioned and they were spot on! Thanks for that guys as I was not from the area and new to that trail. There was no creaking sounds and the problem was fixed. The repair work done was perfect! If there was a 10 star review I would leave them 10 stars. I love this little bike shop in Simi. For the size of the shop they have a good selection of high end bikes. I didn't get my bike there ( I got mine used) but I use there service department. The service department is great they get your bike fixed fast and don't try to sell you stuff you don't need. As a woman I appreciate not being taken advantage of. I never fell ripped off or confused about what they told me about my bike when I leave. I am so happy with this bike shop. Have not seen this shop on LA ave before. 7pm on a Friday night and need a tire tube. Saw the shop, lights were on. We stopped and even though they were closed they greeted us warmly and were happy to help us out. Changed the tube for us in no time. They have some super COOL bikes in that place. I got my eye on a sweet bike there, actually a couple i really liked. The prices seemed super reasonable too. This place is great and deserves every 5 star they get. We live about 15 miles away and it was well worth the drive. My sons scooter was making a "Weird noise" , we brought it in and Austin( owners son) , started working on it right away and was done with the problem solved within 10 minutes. I picked up mine and my wife's bike today and I'm very happy with the service. Both our mountain bikes needed a tune up and each had an issue. My wife's Specialized had an issue with the front brakes losing pressure. They quickly found that the line was swelling and were able to replace it and fix the issue. My Intense was making a crazy noise when going fast down hill. I had a feeling it was the rear bearings and I was right. They found all the grease was gone. They were able to repack the bearings and everything is great now. Thank you bicycle nerds for all your help. You guys are my new go-to shop for everything bicycle related. read more
