I'm glad some of the team from the now closed Woodland Hills location, which was my local shop, ended up here. After Woodland Hills closed, I had the next nearest major bike shop service my bike and it took over a week for a minor repair. The Trek store and Gustavo turned my bike around in a day for the same repair (spoke replacement and rear mech adjust). It may be a Trek corporate store, but the services is superb and they will work on any brand bike. It is worth the extra drive for me to have this team work on my bikes. read more

I opted to give this place a second chance and I'm not impressed. Brought in my bike for 3 reasons 1. Adding xt shifter to my bike 2. Replace stripped bolt on seat clamp 3. Check if bottom bracket needs replacing, doesn't spin very freely. He looked at the bottom bracket and didn't think anything needed to be replaced. The reason I thought it might is when I switch pedals between my bikes on my Canyon once's one pedal is off the other side spins so the crank is facing down because the weight of the pedal. My Trek does not do that. I'm not a bike mechanic so I wasn't sure if that's normal. He didn't think I was loosing any efficiency, which is my concern. He recommend getting a basic tune up. The bike technical was serviced by another bad local bike shop less than a month ago and I hadn't been riding it all that much so I found that a bit interesting but I went along with it because it could use a good washing and he said the xt shifter install would be included in the price. To sell a level 1 service (I think about 100) when the bike itself did not actually need it shows the type of business they are. On top of that to not fix the stripped bolt is just annoying. To top it all off Trek does an extremely good job at marketing a 24 hour turn around service for any bike. I brought it in on a Wednesday and got it back on a Saturday. I was informed I would get it Saturday and I did request to get it by Friday. Don't advertise something if your stores can't hold up their end. read more

This is a delay review, but it must be written. I don't know where to start. Overall, it's a great experience. Starting with Nicole. She's a legit Anne, the most honest and humble person in this business because I have bit experience with a soppy technician at bike shops, since I am new to this happy. And they always treat me like a moron, but this whole experience it shift 180° when I walked into trek , Porter Ranch I was greeted with Nicole. Super nice lady, greeted me with a smile and open minded to all my dumb questions and she even advised me to do things outside the sales point which I really appreciate her honesty and every time I come back she always greed me with the same positive energy never get tired of me even though I'm too much to handle. now time to talk about the shop manager, Jason he is the nicest, nicest human being always there for me even though he had so much to do and super busy but every time I walk into the store, he make sure to give me the time I need always advice me was honest and sincere, very genuine person he's very down to earth and have very likable personality. I was watching them closely with other customers, his brutal honest he never come across, trying to sell you up something that is no needed very honest person overall, this is the best bike shop ever. We LOVE the TREK Porter Ranch Team! Especially Lisa, who is always so diligent and friendly! This is the second bike our family has purchased with Lisa and she made the ordering process such a breeze. The bike arrived exactly when we expected it to and when she called to say it was ready I could tell she was just as excited as we were! That level of genuine joy for your customers isn't something that can be learned and it's what makes Lisa so special. Give that woman a BIG raise because she's a HUGE part of why the Porter Ranch team shines so bright! While we were waiting for the bike to arrive the team was also kind enough to set aside a set of pedals that we were customizing the bike with and installed them prior to pick up, which was really thoughtful and very much appreciated. Nicole was super helpful during our pick up process as well and helped to get us set up with our test ride when we came to pick up the bike. We have loved our experience with Lisa and the Porter Ranch team so much that we bought a third bike for my mother (although it was in stock at the Ventura store and not Porter Ranch), and my brother (also a TREK owner) has asked how to get in touch with Lisa so that he could look into ordering an upgraded bike for himself. Congrats to Ice, Gavin, Tiger, Edgar and everyone else (sorry, if I forgot everyone else's names) for from what I saw was a very successful first and second day of business. I Just purchased my first Trek bike and It was really nice to have everyone giving their advice on the model I was trying out and eventually took home. The store itself is well laid out, the shelves fully stocked (at least on the first day I was there) and I really appreciated that the doors were swung open so that people waiting to get in weren't just standing outside staring at a glass door hoping someone inside notices like at other Trek locations. There's an area round the side of the store to actually take a bike for a spin which is another plus. Now that I managed to purchase the hard to find model I wanted, I highly recommend that people should visit this branch. I couldn't have asked for a better buying experience! TO ATTACH THE REAR BRAKE, resulting in my son FLIPPING OVER THE FRONT HANDLEBAR GOING DOWN HILL AS A CAR PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF HIM! He could have been severely and permanently injured from this neglect!!! SHAME on the shop for not performing a safety check on the work they performed. The bikes are really nice, and Nicole was very apologetic and professional. However, I would STAY AWAY! and STRONGLY RECOMMEND GOING TO ANOTHER BIKE SHOP to PERFORM ANY MAINTENANCE.
