I don't know why I haven't come here before to get my other bikes serviced or repaired, because their service is really top-notch. If you have any questions or want advice, you can ask any of the guys working there, and they'll tell you things you didn't even think about things you might need for your bike or changes you could make to improve it. They also have a decent selection of bicycles, ranging from used to new. Whether you're looking for a beach cruiser, a hybrid bike, or a road bike such as a hardtail, they have it here. I wouldn't hesitate to come back in the near future to get work done on my bike. This place is also the closest shop to my work, and there's a bike lane going along Reseda Boulevard running from Victory in Reseda, California up to Lassen in Northridge, California, which is pretty much the route I'd take anyway if I were riding on Reseda Boulevard. I finally found some cheap cranks to put on my bike, since the shop nor Haro wanted to do anything about it. It's definitely because this shop doesn't use a torque wrench. The drive sides bolts were barely on, it took 0 strength to loosen them. DOUBLE CHECK ALL BOLTS if you purchased a bike from them. read more

He is very knowledgeable, extremely service oriented, and very very kind. His pricing was very reasonable, downright modest. EXCELLENT SERVICE! It was my first time assembling a bike for a grandchild. The instructions that came with the kit and the online videos were riddled with errors. I managed to assemble the bike with logic but was fearful of tightening anything in case I was wrong. I could not gift this without knowing it was safe. I brought my old Mtn bike in with only 2 gears working and the brakes rubbing. John explained these bikes had with both and said he could fix them. I also needed a set of grips so I picked them, and John said I could probably pick it up Thursday since they are closed on Wednesday. Sure, enough Thursday morning I got a call to come get my bike. Thank you Julian and John for taking care of me and my bikes! Another shop tried to get me to buy extra parts and do extra services (break housing, pads, wires, break adjustment and alignment), none which my bike needed. At Reseda Bicycles however, I found out they both just needed an alignment. I used the extra money to buy new tires and get a full tune up. Julian was awesome. It's not the biggest bicycle store. But over the decades, on my infrequent repair visits, they've been unfailingly friendly and helpful. Parts & services are fairly priced. The last few times, without me asking for a rush, the techs made repairs on-the-spot. Much appreciated! Also, a little-known detail...there's hidden free parking in the back of the building for secure loading/unloading. Why go to larger snooty shops that focus on selling $3,000 racing bikes and treat customers for cheaper bikes & repair services as nuisances? Store has a Masks Required sign at entrance. Old white man customer in the store NO MASK and was apologizing that he forgot his mask. Person giving him back his bike told him "No big deal" and let him slowly pay and leave. Literally next customer comes in is a middle aged black man also NO MASK and clerk tells him he CAN'T COME IN without a mask, customer says he forgot it next door and will be back. Came here to have a tune up on my bike and also to add some additions to another bike. They have a small conveniently located little parking lot in the back. John and the entire staff are extremely friendly. They were able to do a tune up on my bike (for $80) and have it ready the following day. They also added lights and some other additions on another bike I brought and had that done within several hours. Their prices are a bit steep in comparison to other places, but they are knowledgeable and trustworthy, so I don't mind paying the higher price. Since the pandemic, we have bought bikes for both our boys ages 6 and 10. The boys didn't know how to ride bikes yet so they suggested to take off the pedals and let the boys get use to balancing by just pushing off with their feet. They took off the pedals for me and showed me how to screw them back on. They said my 10 year old would learn to ride in 4 days because he already knew how to ride a skateboard. Well it took him exactly 4 days. We bought helmets and bells and gloves for us all. Every time we come in they have been very attentive and John knows me by name now. We were going on a trip to Yosemite and wanted to take our bikes. They looked at my highlander and said I'd need a hitch. They recommended a place down the street from them that installs hitches. They told me what to ask for. I got the hitch the next day and bought the bike rack. John assembled it for me and showed me how to put it on and how to put my bike on it. He had me bring my bike to show me how. Everything works as promised. I highly recommend their business. I in fact am going there today to have a tube replaced on my old bike. read more

I've been a returning customer since my first visit. Usually I enjoy my time there, and I usually learn something new, too. Today, however, was a bit unnecessary. I brought my bike in to have my drive train inspected and the staff member (tall, white, red head) explained what he thinks the issue could be while behind the counter. I listened and then he proceeded to take my bike to the back. After a few minutes in the back, I hear him speaking to a colleague (loudly I might add) that my bike is light and cheap and he wouldn't risk riding on it. That just because it's light doesn't mean it's a good bike. I'm not here to authenticate or verify if his statements are true, I'm here to draw attention to the fact that, that was highly unprofessional, rude and unnecessary. I'm standing in front of the counter in disbelief. I didnt react, I simply thanked him for his work, dropped him a $20 and left. I'll be back, but just insist on working with someone else. If I can do it at my local subway, I can do at my local bike shop. read more

The worst customer experience I've ever had. After spending over $200 having my bike repaired over there the month before, I brought my bike to them for a broken seat. I checked back a couple of times during that time and they said it was being worked on. After 4 months of them holding it and never giving me any information about the status of the repair I finally took my bike back and will take it to another shop to be repaired. Horrible customer service skills, rude owner and absolutely no work done on my bike whatsoever. They couldn't even find my claim ticket!?!? They did manage to break the seat post off. They had time for that. Do not ever go to this shop. Absolutely inexcusable. read more

These guys were quick and professional (don't worry about the shop appearance), they run a tight ship. Went there because my sons tires got popped on thorns. Went in today for some help selecting a pair of cycling shoes. I had no idea what I was doing, so I wanted to see an expert rather than trusting the internet. Coming here was a great decision! Daniel helped me select a pair of shoes that fit my feet properly and were comfortable. He taught me a lot about what to look for when buying and he showed me shoes at several different price points. The shoes that were the most comfortable for my feet also turned out to be the ones most comfortable for my wallet, which is awesome. The Reseda Bicycles crew even installed the proper clips for my pedals onto the shoes. The shoes didn't come with clips, but the price on the clips was great too! Overall, I actually paid less than I would have for the same thing on Amazon and I got expert in-person service. A rare thing these days and something that will definitely keep me coming back here! Also, while I was there, 4 different customers came in and we all got great, personalized service and focused attention from Daniel and his staff.
