I've been here on and off for the past 9 years but known this place since 2002.. went in a few days ago to get my mountain bike's rear tire balanced and spinning right.. Julian is the man!!! He made it 1000x better than when I first rode it.. I swear he's looking more & more Skate or Die lately, and super fitter. Now I'm flying and hopping like it's a dynoGT .. Highly recommend this family friendly establishment, you will not regret. Thanks to Julian again, Eliot the wise, his awesome wife, and the rest of the Crew. read more

Went in today for some help selecting a pair of cycling shoes. I had no idea what I was doing, so I wanted to see an expert rather than trusting the internet. Coming here was a great decision! Daniel helped me select a pair of shoes that fit my feet properly and were comfortable. He taught me a lot about what to look for when buying and he showed me shoes at several different price points. The shoes that were the most comfortable for my feet also turned out to be the ones most comfortable for my wallet, which is awesome. The Reseda Bicycles crew even installed the proper clips for my pedals onto the shoes. The shoes didn't come with clips, but the price on the clips was great too! Overall, I actually paid less than I would have for the same thing on Amazon and I got expert in-person service. A rare thing these days and something that will definitely keep me coming back here! Also, while I was there, 4 different customers came in and we all got great, personalized service and focused attention from Daniel and his staff. It is clear from one visit why this family-run business has been here for so long. Really top-notch! read more

This place never disappoints and always does a great job on tuned ups. I recommend this establishment.

This is my local bike shop that I take my bikes to for tune ups and repairs. They have great customer service and amazing amounts of knowledge about bikes. I learn something new every time I drop my bike off. They've helped me get my bike ready for my last two triathlons and whenever I need a tune up or repair in between. This is the shop I always recommend to my friends and will continue taking my business to for as long as I ride bikes. Thank you Reseda Bicycles for such great service! read more

Terribly rude staff! Didn't feel safe inside. The employees literally shoved me out of the way while I was waiting in line and they are rude and in-personable. Take your bike elsewhere. read more

this was place is the best. honest prices - awesome service!!!!!

April 1st, my husband, daughter and I went in because he had a flat tire on the front wheel of his new bike. He asked them to replace the tube and they proceeded to do so (without giving us the price) first. In the past, I paid $8-$15 for this same repair at another place. I assumed it would be about the same. He waited until after it was fixed to hit me with a $49.10 charge FOR A FLAT TIRE. If my daughter wasn't there, I would have had a much different tone and discussion with the kid (who's dad is the owner). I explained that was too high and he said he already did it, in a rude manner. I think this should be illegal, since it's a $3 tube and a 10 minute job. He should have given me the price (before) doing the work! Maybe his dad should teach him some customer service and have repeat customers! I will NEVER go back here (more for the attitude, secondly for the rip off price). read more

Do not go to this place I went to this place for a flat tire the guy told me 10.99 to fix the flat so I said ok then after just 5 minutes they fix the problem with my tire then when I was about to pay onother guy charged me 20.99 I said to the guy the first guy said 10.99 why you charging me 20.99 he said installation is not included but the first guy said 10.99 with installation so I said call the first guy so I could talk with him then he came out and denied that he said 10.99 with instalation.they are liers and they trick you don't go here. read more

Highly recommend! Called and brought my bike in right away. It has been sitting for a year so I needed air and they made it a one speed within 10 minutes. My other bike they kept but replaced the tires. Not over priced, great customer service read more

First time here and fantastic experience. I had problems with my brakes and crooked tire. They diagnosed my bike within seconds of just looking at it. $15 for them to fix. Picked up bike and works great! Very honest business. Dont go anywhere else. Went to another bike shop before which is fairly new to the Valley (off balboa) to give them a chance to fix a flat tire and fix my brakes, and they quoted me $100+ and told me it was an estimate only. I changed my tire for $20 (Amazon) and took my bike here to fix my brake problem. read more

Came in to box up and ship a bike they broke it down and boxed it for $55 which I found reasonable. They were kind and polite and I felt that this bike shop is very honest. I have been to several others in the area and this one I like so far read more

My husband rides a $99 fixie from Target. As much as this pains local, family-owned bike shops like Reseda Bicycles, the family took great care of us. -cables (long & short) for locking up -spare tubes for all our bikes -new crankset, pedals, and chain They did some adjustments to correct my husband's bike's loose brakes and a wobbly wheel at no extra charge, and we were back in the saddles in no time. The brief wait allowed us to browse their impressive selection of a diverse inventory: road, mountain, hybrid, bmx, beach cruiser, fixie, folding bikes... this shop really has something for every cyclist. Shoes, helmets, mens & womens apparel. And Reseda Bicycles is located just a few blocks on a sharrrow from on a protected bike lane! Nice location, Huge inventory, Reasonable prices, Fast & friendly service. read more

Cycle World or Custom Bicycle Sales DO NOT GO HERE! Don't go here for even an inner tube purchase. The employees make you feel like it's a privilege they even let you in the store. I had a terrible experience there. I packed up my bikes without them even touching them and took them up the street to Cycle World. Drive the extra mile or so and you will be much happier. These people are surly and should retire or quit if they don't want to be there. read more

Well, they had a great selection but was less impressed with their condescending attitude when I told them that I didn't want to spend more than $1000 on my first road bike when I'm in college. This was also because of my previous experience at another bike shop where my inexperience got me stuck with a bike that wasn't a perfect fit for my needs. So, as i was afraid the same thing might happen again, I wasn't willing to spend more than what I was comfortable with. It took a while on my bike to learn what I really like and dislike, and I also didn't want to spend a lot on something where after a while, I might find I really need something else. The guy, while ok, smirked at that and seemed to only feel sorry for the fact he couldn't do it to me. That being said, they did help find a bike that fits me, but again, just fit. They didn't inquire about my needs or make any effort to assure that's what I needed. read more

I read the reviews before I went. The negative reviews seemed to only mention the poor customer service, so I thought how bad could it be? Well, I was totally ignored when I entered and walked past one of the employee (the owner?). He looked at me as I entered but that was about it. After I browsed a bit, he finally asked what I was looking for, at which point he quickly went and got it. At check out, I pulled out my bill and held it out to him but he kind of ignored it and left me hanging, to the point that I felt insulted and put it on the counter and went to browse some more. There was a lot of weird energy, strange looks, and condescension. I don't know dude... And I wanted to tell him, you know you have a bunch of bad reviews on yelp for treating customers this way. It doesn't have to be like this... Just greet people and treat them nicely. Anyway, I wouldn't come back. read more

This place is really bad at costumer service I mean real real bad, they can care less about your business. Came in here to buy a bike willing to spend a lot $$$money on a bike, turns out they can careless about you when you walk in. Elliott is the worse he is not respectful I also went in to fix my tire and I showed them a receipt that I paid an he still wouldn't fix my tire. I despise Elliott in the matter of he treats his customers. The point is don't go to this shop I highly recommend to go to another one read more

NEVER EVER GO YO THEM!!!! They overcharge your by a lot of money. Me $100. They do not do returns even if you rode it a block. They are very rude and slow. STAY AWAY read more

They might seem like they are rude and they probably are. But they know what they are talking about. I bought two heavy duty inner tubes, both were faulty I came in and they exchanged them . The owner was nice about it, and the two new ones work perfectly well. He showed me how to properly change it we both knew it the reason I popped was because I probably didn't put them on correctly. read more

Excellent service! On the way to ride and stopped to replace a tire tube. Immediate and very friendly service, and reasonably priced. Will return. Thank you! read more

Wow this place had alot of bikes. Alot of highend quality stuff. When I talked about some of the bikes I had seen he went ahead and brought out a catalogue to compare the bikes I had seen with what he had. They were also nice enough to let me know that I could also buy a cheaper mountain bike and put on better cheaper road tires. read more

Great place! Normally I get all my parts from Performance, but being mechanically adept I didn't want to pay them $60 to install a fork and headset on a fixed gear, even after I purchased both parts from there. Because I didn't want to buy the tools for this one time job, I called around and found this place. They were able to get me in the same day, in and out within an hour, and for half the price. They also have a great selection of bikes, components and other tid-bits. The workers there were also pretty friendly, which seems to be a hit or miss for some reason with LBS. read more

bunch of thieves, make me spend money drilling holes on my rims arguing that was the best to do due to schrader against presto pros and cons and also make me spend money on new tires. that I do to need by now my bike is a total loss due to rim holes cutting on the stem valve constantly and replace those rims will cost me almost the whole value of the bike. these people should be on jail and out of business read more

These guys are fantastic, bought a few bikes from them and take all my repairs there. Highly recommended!!

Yes the owner is a little arrogant. But I think that is cause he knows what he is talking about. I brought him a bastard ten speed that had been turned into a fixy. I needed tubes, tires, brakes, handle bar, grip, lights to be legal, peddles and a new seat. He suggested to just buy a new bike before I get into mods for this 1970's protect. The bike that was kinda what I wanted in a bike was $650 on sale. The bike I brought him i paid $40.00 with everything I did to it, the cost was like $300 and change. So for less then half I can see what I like and dislike about bikes. This will be the first adult bike i have ever bought. I'm 35, so it been a while. I do agree that it would have been easier to just buy a new bike but they all look the same. My bike stands out. All the service people are very helpful and nice. :-) read more

Sometimes you just want to call a business, ask if they have what you need, and if they do, go get it. So often that is not what happens. With this business, it did. I'd called several big sporting goods stores to see if they carried pedals for a stationary bike. No one did. Everyone was helpful and friendly, but assured me only the manufacturer sold pedals. I tried Reseda Bicycles on a whim. I can't comment on any experiences related to "real" bikes (which I used to ride, obsess about, spend thousands on, and run into the ground) but in this case I could not have asked for a simpler experience. No coddling, just straightforward information when I called: Yes, they might carry them. What size? Hold on. Yes, we have that. I go to the shop, they have exactly what i wanted and what I asked for at a reasonable price. Saved me buying something online that may or may not have been right and it let me use my bike the next morning WITHOUT the grinding/clicking that was driving me NUTS! You can bet I will go back to them for similar needs. read more

I called to see if they had a specific bike in stock and they did, quoted me on the phone so I told them I was on my way from West Hollywood. Once I arrived I was told the bike was a more expensive price and the guy behind the counter, who seemed like the owner picked up the phone to call someone else that was interested in the bike to see if they were going to buy it. They said yes so he didn't sell it to me. I told him I was disappointed that I was standing in front of him ready to buy and he instead called someone else and put them in front of me. Shady business practices.... read more

Just bought a 4th bike from them for the family. The owner has always been very friendly and helpful in choosing the right bike to purchase. You never feel pressured, they are patient with you, while allowing you to carefully select your choice. They will let you test the bike out first , before purchasing and will assemble if not available the store floor. Very good selection of quality bikes with several accessories to choose from. Prices are reasonable and competitive with other bike shops in the area. read more

I know basically nothing about bicycles and I just recently purchased the first bike I've owned since I was ten from a garage sale. I knew that the bike needed at least a tube and a once-over to check out the integrity of the rest of its parts. I called ahead to ask if I needed to make an appointment because that's the considerate thing to do, but they told me I could go in whenever they are open. I went in the next day and Dan helped me out. He was very patient with me and answered my noob questions. He taught me some basic stuff I needed to know about my bike and gave me a bit of education about bicycles in general while he worked on it. I ended up needing to replace the tires and I bought some accessories. All in all the bill was more than reasonable and the service didn't take all that long even with the extra attention he gave it making sure everything was adjusted nicely. When he was done he let me know that unless something happens to the bike (e.g., I crash, puncture a tire, etc...) I should get a year or two of wear and tear out of it before anything needs to be replaced based on how much I said I intend to use it (12-15 miles a week of fairly easy riding to and from school). The atmosphere of the shop was pretty mellow. There were a couple other people ahead of me so I respectfully waited my turn and stayed out of the way until the appropriate person was free to help me. (Appropriate as in, let the people who work there decide who was going to help me because I didn't make assumptions about who does what and who was busy with what in the shop. ;) I have a feeling that this is exactly what some of the few whiners posting negative reviews aren't doing. This is my go-to bike shop now. I was won over by my first experience and I'll be purchasing a new one when I am ready for an upgrade. read more

I first came here to get a used bike I had just gotten tuned. I also purchased a $35 lock from them. They charged me $10 to tune the bike and $5 to change the seats. I went back today to see how much they'd charge to put together a new bike I'd just purchased and all they said was $75 flat rate. It seems like they don't really want business and just consider themselves the default option for everybody who lives around them. I drove down the street to another place, got a "driving on cell phone ticket" in the meantime ($150) because I didn't want to sit in the red parking zone out front of Reseda Bicycles. But it seemed worth it to find a great shop down a little further on Reseda in Northridge that charged me only $50. Since they do estimates instead of flat rates (lazy price gouge tactic) read more

Reseda Bicycles - Bikes Near Me - Reseda, California

Fantastic local bike shop! I just started getting into cycling and went in to purchase a pair of bike shoes and was greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had so many questions that were all answered and even got some great tips on riding. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a quality bike store with honest and super knowledgeable staff! read more

I usually just read reviews and have never been compelled to write one until today. It had been years since I had been on a bicycle, let alone shop for one. So after asking friends who I know are avid cyclists to recommend a good, trust worthy store to shop at they all mentioned Reseda Bikes. I was greeted by Dan, who really took the time to ask me questions about what I was looking for and what my activity and use was going to be. I admitted that I was new to the sport and was looking for a bike that would be good for a beginner. He quickly had me sit and try a few out, he was very patient with me as was the other staff when I asked for adjustments while trying to decide between two models. They were never pushy and I never felt rushed to make a decision. I ultimately walked out with a great bike at a great price that I ride every weekend. I will definitely be coming back in a few weeks to shop for one for my girlfriend who is looking to start riding as well!! Thanks again to Dan and staff, you all made what I thought might be an overwhelming experience into one that was fun and educational all at once! read more

great bike shop, ive going there for a year & have brought in several bikes for service. good staff & good service.

I brought my bike a year ago from here. I ending up purchasing a raleigh talus 8.0 2010 gold and black. Paid little over 600 for it. I wanted something different for as bikes like GT or Specialized. I did have a GT that I replace with the Talus 8.0. I am happy with the bike put well over 500 miles on the bike so far. I view a bike shop like a car shop. You have to trust and have a relationship so you get great service in the long run. I have went back times for tuneups or to put things on the bike from pedals to a seat. They even put on things u buy from over shops or online. Their selections on bikes accessories and their knowledge has been pleasing to my sight and ears. I have moved recently. But I will still come back for services and stuff. There is alot of great bike shops out there and this is one of them in the valley. read more

I came here today with my husband to get a small part for his bike. WOW!! Honest good people! The gentleman named Elliot was so kind, patient, and really did help us with what we needed. I've been going to Reseda Bicycles for about 15 years now. Elliott and his whole staff have always been helpful and easy to work with. Recently I had a very unusual issue with my freewheel on my Road bike. It took two trips, but it was an issue that neither the shop or I had ever seen before, and when it was all said and done the repair was a lot less than I expected. They even saved the old parts to show me. Good people to do business with. read more
