My son found a bike on line that he was interested in. We went to Reseda Bicycles to see if they carried the bike. (We had purchased 3 other bikes through the years from them.). They did not carry the bike but the salesman, Daniel, discussed the bike and measured my son to make sure he got the right size. My son was so thrilled with the additional information that he decided to buy all of the accoutrements (new helmet, lock, clips, and other stuff) from them. Through the years, they have done bike maintenance for me- always done when promised. I need some bike maintenance now and I spoke with the owner and was told that they are very busy right now. Since I need maintenance, not repairs, I will wait until things calm down. Always a pleasure to deal with this family owned business. read more

I have been visiting here for a long time. The store is now run by the the owners son, I think his name is Danny. I have always received fantastic service here and on the spot service for fixing a surprise flat tire. The same mechanics have been here for many years, and are very knowledgeable when it comes to tune ups and indexing gears. I purchased a mid-range Raleigh bike here, all good. Would rather give my business to a local mom-and-pop store, than a large big-box chain. I have compared their prices on pumps, shoes, helmets, etc., to prices on Amazon, and (surprisingly) they are very competitive. A rare 5 stars. Keep up the good work. read more

Reseda Bikes is one of the great old bike shops in The Valley! They have been in this same location for many decades. They've survived all this time because they are truly a great bike shop. They are extremely knowledgeable about all things bikes! Their repairs are done right and for a great price. Their prices for a lot of accessories is competitive with, or even beating online prices. The shop is relatively small, but they are packed to the gills with bikes! All kinds from beginner bikes to the most insane pro racing bikes, and everything in between. If I could put no stars, I would. This bike shop has been in my neighborhood since I was born and every few months I will try them out for emergency stuff and they never fail to disappointment me. Every worker I have encountered has treated me like an inexperienced cyclist that is just wasting their time, and I've gone in there for my single speed, mountain bike, and beach cruiser. This place sucks for repairs and the whole bike shop isn't customer friendly. I mean really why are the bikes stacked to the ceiling like hung meat in a butcher shop. Anyway, I came here for a repair on my tires, the kid that repaired my tires looked liked he was there against his will asking every few minutes if it really was ok to go on break after being done. The clerk was a witchy old lady who looked like she had been sleeping all day (I was there at 3 pm) who kept telling kids in the shop not to touch the few bicycles that were on the floor. The price was ridiculous for fixing bike tires I usually go to cycle world and they are quicker and cheaper, but i was strapped for time and this place is closer to me. At the end of the day the kid put my tires in wrong leaving me with a squeaky sound which I had to fix myself. So I don't recommend this place. read more

I went there today to shop for a mountain bike. I walked in and stood second in line, behind a man who was making a purchase at the cash register. Another man with his daughter walked in and stood in line behind and just to the right of me. When the older lady finished ringing up the first gentleman, she looked right past me like I'm freakin' invisible and said, "Can I help you?" to the man and his young daughter. Ma'am, I am NOT invisible, and you just lost out on any chance EVER of me spending a DIME at your crappy little bike shop. There is another reputable bike shop 1.9 miles north on Reseda, and from now on that's where I will be going. They are bigger, have a better selection anyway, and even with my limited dealings there, they've always been nice, unlike RESEDA BICYCLES. read more

Over the past year I have been cycling regularly, which has resulted in the need for regular trips to bike shops around the valley for maintenance and ultimately buying new bikes for me and my son. I bought both at Reseda because the prices were great, they know the products and have been very honest in all my dealings with them. They helped us find the right sized bikes and made sure we were comfortable on them. They made all the adjustments necessary to the bikes and were happy to make additional adjustments after the purchase. They also provide free service for one year on the bikes. They have a large selection of bikes and accessories and are happy to share their opinions as to those they prefer. It is nice to see a mom and pop shop survive when competing with corporate stores and I have found that Reseda Bicycles provides better service, from knowledgeable employees at reasonable prices. read more

After standing in REI in Northridge for 20 minutes waiting for a guy who kept saying just a sec and helping others we left and went to Reseda Bicycles since it was close to our house. They were very helpful and replaced our tubes for a very reasonable rate and even told us we didn't need some stuff. We were so impressed that we ended up buying two helmets as well. The next day I took my bike in and they were able to look at the brakes and showed me how to fix them quickly. We will go back for all our biking needs. I highly recommend this bike shop! They are honest and reliable. I have been going there for about 2 years now and each time I went I have had an amazing experience. Recently I had a friend try and adjust my gears on my diamondback that was rattling and simply not running smoothly, well what can I say the bike was so messed up nothing match up and the bike was worst!!! Five stars for service and purchase experience. First I searched the web for the type of bicycle that I needed and the one that was within my budget. Then I went out to my local bicycle shop. I was received by Dan, who was very knowledgeable and listened to all my needs. He pulled out three different models to try. I took the bikes for a ride, but did not feel 100% sure that they were what I was looking for. So I explained my concerns to Dan, he carefully listened without judging, then went into his storage room and came out with this brand new two-year-old model Trek 7.3 To me it was like love at first sight: black glossy finish, 28 speed with Shimano fire-shifters, 700cc thin light tires, aluminum light frame and ergonomic gel handle bar grips. I took the bike out for a ride and it felt perfect! I was satisfied to have found what I was looking for. I walked back into the shop and Dan said - I have good news for you, you can take this bike with a discount. It was heaven for me: the bike that I wanted with a better price than my budget! I highly recommend Reseda Bicycles if you are looking to buy a new bike. Again, 5 stars for the buying experience. That's why I drive there all the way from Woodland Hills. Several bike shops are closer to home but I haven't found one that's better than Reseda Bicycles. I bought 2 bikes here, mountain and road, 2,000 on the road, 1,000 on the mountain. I just went today, the owner's wife? Cashed a 100 for a 10 dollar purchase, acted like I got too much change, handed her the money, she counted it again then dropped it on counter in front of me. Had an innertube replaced, when I paid for it the box was on the counter, (I was waiting in line and the same lady cut in front of me with a customer buying BIG), then the kid behind the counter accused me of trying to "Come UP" on a free inner tube. I was disrespected 3 times in one visit! PLEASE, don't waste your time, the owner is a GOOD guy but his staff is arrogant and rude, I am DONE! read more

I had a Raleigh bike that developed a cracked frame (14 years old). Raleigh said Reseda Bicycles were a dealer in my area. They were very nice to me; took a photo of the damage to the other bike, contacted Raleigh and then allowed me to try different models of bikes. Raleigh gave me a discount on a replacement bike because of the cracked frame. I am very happy with the service Reseda bicycles provided. If there are a lot of people in the store you'll have to "wait your turn". I found that the people that helped me (Heddy, Elliott and Jordan) gave me very good information. Reseda Bikes is a first class operation!!! Reseda Bikes is a great Bike shop with great people!! The owner is a super great guy and has always been accommodating and easy to work with. The pricing is great and as every serious cyclist knows, great bikes and great bike parts are pricey. Their labor is extremely reasonable and if you need something done right away they always have people available to drop what their doing to help. When I was in my early twenties and wanted a bike that was much more expensive than I could afford the owner took the bike off the showroom floor and held it while I paid down the balance. They made my bike perform perfectly and made my tires that we constantly going flat from the thorns at Balboa Park impervious to anything that I've been able to throw at them. I have been running the same tubes and tires for over a year riding 100 miles a week. Your typical Cycle shops just don't go out of their way or care about their customers like they do at Reseda Bikes. If you had a bad experience at their place I would be willing to say that no matter what they did for you that you will never be happy! read more

These guys are so talented! I took my grandfather's old Schwinn bike in to them- It was rusted and corroded and looked like it should be destined for a dumpster. They took great care of it went to great lengths to restore it. It works beautifully now! Even the old speedometer works! They told me to come back in a month or so for a check up to see if anything needed tightening or fixing. I just took it into them for the check-up. They filled the tires, oiled up the gears and even addressed a problem I had with slippery petals. One of the men cut and innertube and slid the innertube over at the pedals so that I would have some traction so my feet wouldn't slide off the pedals! Genius! They even remembered my name! You don't get that kind of service everywhere! I definitely would trust them with any future bike I have or issues I have in the future. read more

I have been going to this Reseda Bike store since I moved close by 8 years ago. First visits were some minor repairs for my classic blue 1980's garage sale model that was an old work horse. I've had my breaks adjusted, new tires, and occasional tune ups. The staff has always been professional and quick. When my old classic blue was stolen I went here to purchase a new bike. The owner Elliot was very helpful in deciding which bike would be the best purchase for my budget and needs. He answered all of my questions and took his time to explain in detail the advantages and disadvantages of various models. He let me take several bikes out for test rides. Several times for each bike that I was interested in. Elliot was very attentive, informative and professional in my experience. Several test rides and several hours later I had made my choice and purchased a bike. I couldn't be happier. They also threw in a year of adjustments, tune ups and service to boot. Bottom line for me is Elliot knows his sh*t when it comes to bicycles and he is more than happy to accommodate you in your pursuit of the perfect bike for your $$. He may come off a little put offish at first but that's because he KNOWS HIS SH*T ABOUT BICYCLES. Get over yourself and ask the right questions so he can educate you in bicycle knowledge. I was initially very pleased with this place. After some convincing, they agreed to switch the wheels between two different bikes to meet my color preference. The lady who was helping us was super friendly and informed us of all the bike paths around, etc. However, after just a few rides in the sun, the bike completely faded. I went back to see what they could do for me, and they were actually pretty rude. I was really surprised that the hot pink color just disappeared so quickly like that, and as silly as this sounds, that color was the only reason I bought that bike. read more
