My first time ever did the electric race car and had a great time. It was actually harder than I thought but willing to try again next time. This place was clean and they have some good selections for food Ave drinks.

This Deceptive ad means buy TWO get one free on Tuesday's aka buy a race to buy a race and get a race.
    Pat L.

This business uses deceptive pricing. I recommend you spend your money at business with integrity. The Tuesday promotion, advertised as follows, implies a BOGO promotion. However, YOU MUST PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE RACE TO RECIEVE A FREE RACE. "SAVE on Racing Every Tuesday! You can get two races for the price of one every Tuesday. *Pricing based on two single races." Hidden behind a link it's explained that you get a free race with the purchase of a race AFTER the purchase of a race. AKA buy TWO get one free. Lol. This shows how much respect they have for their patrons. Other deceptive pricing includes the required annual "license" purchase.

I advise everyone to come and have fun with family or friends to celebrate a birthday. Very nice staff, fast cars. They are electric and there is no exhaust smell. I was incredibly happy!!!!

I went in around noon for 3 races it was empty so I had a lot of fun and it was good for me cuz I don't want to slow people down or be slowed down I could race at my own speed and get to know the track since I was the only one they gave me lots of tips and tricks on how to best maneuver the course there were all very nice and will absolutely come back again

    Kids had such a blast!

Andy was so helpful and so nice despite all the crazy little kids running around. Had so much fun here! I love racing, it's sooooo much fun! I love it here I just wish they had ICE cubes, better food, and WIFI! I ordered the paddock burger with fries and the fries were 3/10 - soggy and cold ( I like my fries hot and crunchy) and the burger was whatever - 5/10. It just seems like it's missing something flavor wise!

Very professionally run electric go-cart racing place. I liked that K-1 took safety very seriously. With very good helmets, excellent lighting for good visibility and instruction on how to drive vehicle. The track itself is large enough to drive the carts to the maximum and still be safe - including spectators. It's all computerized. Including your signup and your speed times displayed on monitors and a print out of your speed trial compared to the other racers. The place is very clean and there's adequate seating for before and after the race to share stories of the epic race. Food is limited so you might want to make plans to eat before or after the race. Expect to pay about $25 per race. Each race includes 12 laps around the track. You are timed for each lap around the track. Your best time around the track determines your standing versus the other riders in your group. Great fun.

Hello, Jose! Very sorry for the delay in our response, but you can find our current pricing here: https://www.k1speed.com/thousand-oaks-location/pricing.html . Hope we see you at the track soon (if we haven't already)!

My son would will be celebrating his 8th birthday, is that an acceptable age for go karts?

The place has been around quite some time and kids do tend to make a mess, but they keep up after it. Parking is for a fee, but sometimes you get a game card that comes with the parking. It can get crowded in the summer and on weekends. We go on week days and have been several times. Now, the prices in here add up fast so be mindful of that, but it is the same as other similar places. Miniature golf is about 16$, a go kart is about 12$, the arcade can really add up so get a card that you can use for the wide variety of games they have. The bumper boats and Disk Thrill Ride are about 12$ per person. We love their little train and that is about 5$. You can get a two hour wrist band and we do that and save a lot that way. All in all the prices are fair. The service there is nice and the place has a lot to offer, you don't have to do it all. There is a lot to do. They also have Birthday Parties there and that is great. It is super fun.

The smell hit me first: burning rubber mixed with ozone, a bouquet that spoke of countless battles fought on these very tracks. I approached the counter, signed the waiver with trembling hands. This was it. My initiation into the world of electric velocity. The safety briefing washed over me. Speed limits. Racing lines. Flags. But my mind was already elsewhere, imagining the perfect lap, the flawless execution of every turn. Then I saw it: the kart. Sleek. Silent. Deadly. I lowered myself into the molded seat, gripped the steering wheel. The moment my foot touched the accelerator, everything changed. The instant torque slammed me back into my seat! No engine roar, no warming up--just pure, unadulterated acceleration that felt like being shot from a cannon! The first corner approached rapidly. I braked--perhaps too hard--and felt the rear end slide ever so slightly. My pupils dilated. This was it. This was the dance. Turn two. I remembered the instructor's words. Brake early. Apex late. Accelerate through. My body moved on instinct, finding the rhythm, becoming one with the machine. By lap three, everything crystallized. The track revealed its secrets to me. That slight banking in corner four. The deceptive tightness of the chicane. Each revelation was a flavor explosion on my palate--bitter defeat transformed into sweet victory! Other racers surrounded me. I could feel their presence, their fighting spirit! We weaved through corners in formation, each seeking that perfect line, that extra tenth of a second. When I finally executed a flawless outside pass on the long straight, my entire body surged with electricity! The laps blurred together in a symphony of speed. Left, right, brake, accelerate--a recipe perfected through repetition, each iteration bringing me closer to nirvana. And then, too soon, the checkered flag. My final time flashed on the screen. I stumbled from the kart, legs shaking, heart racing, a massive grin splitting my face. The other racers gathered around the timing board, comparing battle scars and bragging rights. This wasn't just fun. This was transcendent. This was speed distilled to its purest essence, served at precisely the right temperature to ignite the soul! K1 Speed had delivered a five-star experience that left me hungry for more.

The experience isn't consistent, the employees act like they don't want to be there and somehow, this is just how it goes. Cool then I won't be back. Is it normal for our carts to be shut off and barked at non stop and not have a clue as to why or who they are yelling at? I said my experience was trash but maybe it's just the organization. Have fun stealing someone else's money.

I wasn't a fan of how the helmet smelled though and of how the smoke smelled from the GoKarts. It was my first time trying it out so I don't know if that's normally how it is. I also didn't get to try the batting cages because they were closed 15 minutes before midnight, even though they advertised this spot closing at midnight. The Laser Tag activity was a pretty big space and I didn't find it stuffy at all, which was good. The VR next to the Laser Tag though was stuffy but at least there was an overhead fan. I personally don't trust how well they clean and disinfect the head masks, that's why I didn't try it. The arcade area was pretty limited in terms of games but they're always a good activity to do as an alternative from the other activities that have lines. Didn't get to try the mini-golf or the "bowling" area due to time. I like the outdoor patio and the ambiance of the string lights when you want to get some fresh air. Lots of families seated wherever they wanted and kids had a lot of stuff to play around with. Looking to see how this spot will compete with Round1 opening up soon in the mall. The water cup station is super handy, but they didn't want to refill the waters near the end of the night and the cups also, so we had to ask at the bar. I like that there's a good amount of staffing here who were all working hard. There's a few bathrooms spread out in the place. Parking is big in the back, just gets pretty dark.
