The best batting cages! My boys love coming here and it's so cool that they get to try out all the new bats.

First and foremost I have been coming to the hitting zone with my son and his teams over the years. As an ex baseball player myself I have been in my share of batting cages and the hitting zone does a good job as a full service facility. They have (4) hitting cages (3) baseball and (1) softball along with a training cage for private lessons in addition to an area set up for tee or soft toss work. They also have a pro shop for equipment needs (bats, gloves, cleats, bags and training aids) Glen the owner is himself an ex player who runs it and does a really good job and goes the extra mile to work with you find hard to get or speciality equipment or make arrangements his supporting staff is mostly high school and college kids / players who operate it when Glen is out so service can be hit and miss lol but it's the batting cages no frills not the Ritz Carlton... It's a great addition to the neighborhood and extremely supportive of the kids and youth baseball and softball programs in the community. Thank you Glen keep up the great work... read more

My son loves this place. We got the membership so it's easy to drop by so he can hit a few rounds in their cages. There are hardly ever lines so we can be in and out within 20 minutes. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is fun. read more

Due to an unfortunate birthday (three days after the age cutoff) my son got bumped up from Mustangs to Broncos where he is now one of the youngest players in the division. He won't ever be able to be the oldest year in the age bracket and I worried about him being to frustrated and losing his enthusiasm for the game so I scheduled him for a 30 minute lesson with coach Jesse for hitting and coach Blake for pitching. He just learned more in 1 hour than he has in 5 years of team playing! It was pretty great to watch his skills visibly improve just from that one hour and I'm excited to see how better mechanics will help his skills and confidence grow! read more

I created Team Cage reservations for a family 70th b-day. However, I showed up and Hitting Zone told me reservations were not made and their only team cage was already rented out by a kids team that practiced every weekend. Well, I had the emails to prove a rent out but nothing was given. So, things started out on a bad note. Overall, the birthday man was satisfied with his experience. A large helmet was hard to find. Bats weren't very large. and there were 4 batting cages. I stick with this: If you are an ADULT, AVOID these cages. They are probably good for kids and practice but are not prepared for anyone over the age of 13. read more

This is a great facility for hitting! Love the location too! I have been coming there over the last few years. This is a full-service facility. There is a young man by the name of Evan that is great! He is very helpful and courteous and really likes working with the kids. Smart move to hire him since he appears to be so knowledgeable about hitting, machines, and the bats they have available. We were here a few months ago with my son's baseball team and the atmosphere was so dreary. Now it's so upbeat. I was told there was a change in ownership. I like how the staff were really friendly and welcoming this time around. The new owners, Jesse & Blake truly try to be helpful which is a plus! We have searched for a good team/place to train for my son for awhile, since we were unhappy with Rec Ball. We are so happy to be apart of the Prime Baseball Team that trains at The Hitting Zone. The owner is rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate. I signed up 3 kids from 3 families for batting lessons with Glen Reyes (owner). Over the course of two weeks we find out he doesn't ever answer his phone and returns text messages when he feels like it. We confirmed the lessons a week prior and the day of. He never showed up for the lessons leaving 3 very disappointed boys. Doesn't even have the decency to answer his phone when we call to find out if he is showing up, just a text "sorry you wasted your time". The facilities are dirty and unmaintained. There are plenty of batting cages near by. Don't waste your time here. read more

The owner is rude, unprofessional, the facility is very small, dirty and there is no AC, so its hot. I sighed my son up for summer camp there. On our first day I came by at lunch to check in. There was 8+ kids stuck in a batting cage, playing by themselves. The teenage councilor was the only "adult" on site, and he was sitting in the far end of the facility on his phone. No one was watching the kids. It was so hot the kids were sweating, fighting over a foam baseball and no one was paying attention to them. Needless to say, we will not go back. read more

First time here tonight mainly for my son. Reservation time started late because the 1 employee working didn't prep the machine so we waited while he scooped up balls and readied the cage for us. I inquired about a fastpitch lane for my daughter to get in some reps too. Was told the 55 mph could be increased to whatever she needed. We bought 3 tokens and asked him to raise the speed to 60. The employee "moved it up a notch" and said to let him know if it was ok. The speed was slow but she hit for her first token and asked him to increase the speed. He said he would increase it while she hit so she put in her 2nd token and the employee proceed to increase the speed. It was still too slow when the machine started to catch the net causing the pitches to go crazy. The employee said he'd replace our token and after working a few more minutes said it was ready. My daughter put in her 3rd and final token only to have the pitch bounce 2 ft. In front of her! At this point, I said we're done and I asked for a refund for 2 of my tokens. Bottom line, the employee had to call the manager to ask if he could return my $6 and was told "no refunds on tokens". I couldn't believe he sold me something that he couldn't provide & then refused to refund me. Instead he replaced my 2 tokens when I have no intention of ever coming back to this place again! Meanwhile, my 12 yo son comes over and asks "can we leave? This place is terrible. The machine keeps jamming and the pitches are too low and the guy says he can't adjust it". Needless to say, we left the practice early and will never be back. Save your money and go hit any where else but here. read more

Place is small and old. Doss the job but has zero space for anything other than hitting. Even the cages are tight on space.

I have been going to this place for years, since my boy started playing baseball. There are several options in the area when it comes to batting cages and this one is, in my opinion, the best for the reasons outlined below: 1) The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. This matters since knowledge of baseball equipment is important in getting the right equipment. All the people who work here are or have played high school or college baseball. The owner is a former major leaguer and current trainer. They don't push products or services but offer great advice when asked. 2) The pitching machine are really reliable. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to other places and end up hitting in less than optimal speed cages because the ones we wanted break down. Also, if you ask them, they will adjust the speed for you. 3) They offer great services. They have a summer hitting camp, offer hourly lessons, and custom order equipment for you. Team. I love this place. My spunky 9 year old daughter is there at camp this week and has been the only girl. When she shares her day with me she has nothing but fun and informative antics to tell. I like that she's not singled out as a girl and the camp seems to hold her attention and give her a lot of baseball knowledge to boot. Glen, the owner and lead instructor, is by far one of the most rude and inappropriate people I have crossed paths with in a business environment. He is aggressive, dishonest and vulgar. Looked this place up today and gave them a call. Very friendly on the phone and helped me figure out a good time to swing by. Brought my son there in the early afternoon to get some batting practice and ended up having him take a batting/fielding lesson from Jesse for 30 minutes. Jesse was great and did an outstanding job teaching and communicating the basics and techniques to my son. My son really enjoyed it and learned a ton! We will be back for another lesson soon! First of all, Yelp, a site upgrade request of thumbs down needs to be included to the review options. The Hitting Zone Staff went above and beyond a level of unprofessionalism, disrespectfulness and laziness on 3/9/2017. My 6 and 8 year old daughters, with my mother-in-law, turned to the Hitting Zone to get some swings in, however, they failed to get any practice because every ball was pitched over their head. In an effort to pull the balls down into the strike zone, a staff member (Evan) was found sitting in the office and rudely stated "that's just the machine and there was no control over that." Also asking if he could slow down the speed for the girls, he said "nope, sorry to waste your time." Nevermind, professionalism or customer service, what ever happen to just simple polite human interaction. I hope you realize, as I have in reading the reviews, that there is some reflection and attitude adjustments needed. From now on, we will definitely make our way across the freeway to Boost Your Average, this goes for everyone in our league. read more

Old school batting cage with iron mikes and some good music playing. You get to hit real baseballs to simulate real baseball. Never was told rubber balls are better for owner but not your swing. And will void the bat's warranty. Location is a little tricky around the corner from Costco and Target and over by new YMCA--note that the building is situated behind a soccer training place building so you might want to google location. Good proshop with gloves, bats, cletes, etc. Kid taped up son's bat and was encouraging. Owner was drafted and played and was also a scout.....lessons are legit. read more

My 6 year old couldn't get enough of the tee ball hitting cage and my 10 year old absolutely loved the fast pitch hitting cage. This place is AMAZING!!! My son LOVES going to hit and pitch there. The two new owners are wonderful and they are true baseball coaches ready to help and support anyone wanting to improve. They don't just sell you the tokens, they are there for any kid to ask questions, always ready to point out ways in which kids can improve their skills. If I would give NO stars I would! The owner Glen never showed up to our appointment that we had confirmed just days before. Then when I called him he sent me right to voicemail. We decided to still hit some balls dice we were still there and he showed up. When confronted he yelled and dropped the F bomb numerous times while my kids and the other 3 families I was with stood there. I highly recommend "boost your average " down the street. Just took two kids in on a rainy afternoon. Cashier suggested buying ten tokens for twenty dollars. However, he failed to mention that both of the cages we were using were about to be occupied by reservations. He even ushered in a hitting coach and his high school student without saying a word to my 8 year old daughter as she stood in line. Her jaw dropped as they set up camp right in front of her and completely ignored her presence. The disregard for anyone just trying to bat is prevalent. read more

Great facility for hitting. The Iron Mike machines pitch real baseballs and are great for working on timing. The staff is always helpful and are even willing to adjust the machines in case the pitches are too fast or too slow. Hitting Zone WLV hosts our team's hitting practices and the boys and parents love it. The owner Glen is a great guy and keeps the facility in great shape. read more

My son loves this place! It has numerous cages which cater for all levels. The staff are very helpful and the owner is actually an ex-professional baseball player so really knows his stuff and is wonderful with the kids. His passion for baseball really shows and rubs off onto the kids., which is what makes this place special. The Hitting Zone also has a great store, where carries all baseball equipment at good prices. Quick update to my review as I just now saw his reply below which is laughable. I have all the texts between us, Glen. I never asked for anything for free. I was there with 2 other people and all of us were fully paying you for your services. You are the one that stated the price and I agreed to it, no problem, If I was getting a service for free, I wouldnt have been this upset. But I was paying what you requested in full, no problem and even brought you 2 more people who were also paying in full for you and you didnt show up. When you did, you were really rude. Shockingly so. Im clearly not the only who thinks your attitude needs some work so maybe you should read the other reviews on here and make an adjustment. Funny thing is, you actually told another coach in our league that you were going to apologize to us for this so you could keep his business. You never did and then you wrote this. Please keep in mind that I have all our texts and documentation proof to back up everything that went down. Its disappointing that you cant own your behavior and apologize. If you had, I would have accepted and this would have all gone away. read more
