as a racing fan, I'm kind of bummed that they've moved away from the racing focus however, it's still good family, friendly, and fun. They do different kinds of events. They also introduced ax throwing. They seem to have a pretty good eatery section now that you can hang out at while letting your kids have a ton of fun in the gaming areas in between races. The electric platform they use is wearing down and they just don't feel mechanically good anymore. I hope they update these things or at least do more maintenance eventually. Maybe it's our mistake that we came on a Sunday. But we called when coming and were told the wait is about 1h long. Which didn't sound too bad. I'm not going to talk about the pricing, we paid $113 for 2 kids and 2 races, you have to buy $6 annual membership. We arrived at 3pm, by 3:15pm purchased our races. They had 1!!!! Birthday party running at the same time. We were told that parties have priority and understand that but we did not expect that they would run the party ONLY for the next 2 hours. It's now 5:56pm, the kids did one race and next one would be in over an hour!!!! I wasn't aware that the parties have a PRIVATE use of the racetrack with no break in between. if we were told we'd spend 3 hours waiting for one race we would have made a better choice than wasting Sunday waiting. Will not be back! Will not recommend this place to anyone. Go somewhere else, the wait is not worth it. read more

This place has changed. It used to feel friendly and welcoming, but now the employees come across as robotic and inflexible, as if even a small, reasonable request causes confusion. We asked to be upgraded to the 3rd package they have, offering to pay the difference. They refused it outright, telling me I need to purchase a whole new set. Is that all that matters to you, the money grab? $26 a race seems a bit excessive to me. As a business, you can't always rely on rigid policies alone. Customer satisfaction should still matter, and some accommodation within reason goes a long way. This will be the last time I spend my money here. Management should take note: you're losing customers one unsatisfactory experience at a time. read more

MB2 was a fun date idea! I wanted to treat my boyfriend to a day of fun as he is always taking such good care of me and bringing the fun with him. I liked MB2 because it was indoors and had two separate racing. One for the kiddos and one for the adults. Pricing wasn't bad at all each person was around $25 and comes with 15-laps. Plenty of time of fun filled speed. I loved how they included a helmet not only to feel more in the race but because these machines go fast! They also have other fun activities there like arcade, ax throwing and Lazer tag. Staff was friendly and helpful as they guided us to the waiver form computer. I recommend doing it prior as it'll saves you time waiting less in the line. My boyfriend and I overall had a lot of fun and a memorable experience we can talk and look back on. read more

Go to the Valencia location -- you'll get way more bang for your buck. It's literally about a 15-minute extra drive up the 5 from the Sylmar location, and it's 100% worth it. I've been to MB2 Valencia multiple times and always had a great experience. Music playing, good energy, tons of arcades, food, drinks (beer)-- it actually feels like a fun outing. I brought my family to Sylmar expecting something similar and was very disappointed. We tried overlooking a lot, but what really got me was the pricing. At Valencia, everything runs on a point system -- a go-kart race is around 50 points (~$12 per person). At Sylmar, one single race was $26.99 per person, plus a mandatory one time annual membership fee (~$6.99). I ended up spending about $70 for my two kids to race one time. The only reason I paid was because I promised them go-karts after a successful school year. I spent way more money for far less to do than I ever have at the Valencia location. At the end of the day, I guess it served as an experience to know never to go there again. I'd honestly say ignore the good Yelp reviews and make the short drive to Valencia instead -- it's a completely different experience. read more

I was at this place with both of my boys. I purchased a ticket so so my son can race my son got ready put on his helmet. Waited for his turn to come a group showed up that two ladies and one gentleman told him he cannot write. He has to wait another 30 minutes, but try buying the ticket. They told us that the race was starting in five minutes. Very bad place suggest if you're going out there to have fun. It might just be a waste of time. We asked for a manager to complain manager did not care tried not to even fix it just said it's a big party that you have advantage over you guys. read more

They were so mindful they limited the amount of racers during my son's track time because he literally broke his nose two days before and they tried to make it as safe as possible. I have been to this location a several times in the past few years and it seems to progressively be getting worse. The teens that work there don't seem to care and are more interested in chatting with each other than helping. Went there the last time with family members that were visiting (4 adults and 2 teens). We all paid for 2 races. First race was good as we had the track to ourselves (the track is small so 6 racing at a time is plenty). Next race we were called for they had scheduled two teen girls and a handicapped person that they wanted our group to go with. No offense to them but our group knew they would be slow and so we asked if they could go and we would just wait to go after them (the place was dead and no one else seemed to be waiting). We were told no. Immediately after the first lap we all get bottle necked behind the group of three because they were going slow. The guys monitoring the race start slowing down our carts after a couple of us pass the other group. Then the race gets paused on several of the laps in order to space us away from the other group. Cool - so we all paid over $150 for a race so we could be held to the pace of another timid group. The staff could have tailored it so that the other group could have gone and had a fun time without worrying about faster people in their race and we could have had a better time without worrying about them in our race but they didn't care. This place rules. I wasn't actually able to attend, but I called ahead last week to verify that our 7-year-old and his grandparents would be okay there as first-time visitors. A very nice, cool lady answered the phone immediately and assured me they'd look after them, and that it would likely be empty at noon on a Monday, anyway. Which it turns out it was. My son had the time of his life. He had the track to himself for his first race of 12 laps. Then got to enjoy watching some adults race. Then had a great time racing other kids who showed up a bit later in the day. My parents said the place was clean, easy to navigate, and very friendly. More businesses like this, please! Another birthday party we were invited to MB2 . Very spacious, clean , professional track. It's indirect and carts are electric. Low noise and no smell. Place provides the helmets and carts. Interior is amazing and private room was VIP LEVEL. Highly recommended small arcade for kids after getting tired of driving ( IF that is even possible) haha. We brought our own food . Have some young friends from out of town and looking for something interesting to do. Go karting seemed like a good choice and MB2 seemed to have better reviews. We came here on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy. We were able to to check in and got to race almost right away. I'd imagine it would be quite a bit busier in the evenings and weekends. The equipment, such as the helmets and karts, was in decent condition. The staff was helpful and pretty diligent with safety. A staff member is present in the circuit controlling the speed limiters of the karts. The best option was the 3 race package. Each race consists of 15 laps. The first race started with few laps of medium speed limits to get the drivers acclimated with the karts and the circuit. The fun began when the higher speed limit kicked in. I think there would be as many as 12 karts per race when they are busy. There were 8 during ours with several teenagers who seemed to be regulars. One of them kept weaving along the circuit, which made it a bit frustrating to pass. Another one spun out repeatedly causing the controller to slow down the traffic repeatedly, which was a bit annoying. We had a lot of fun; but, the experience would depend on who the other drivers are. read more

Great indoor track. Clean, organized and they try not to let us scrub (rub) other racers. LoL. They change the course up, so you have to think. Not just get on "auto-pilot." A fun & cool place for kids & adults! I was here with my daughter to celebrate a birthday party. All the kids had a great time! She raced with her group of friends. It was her first time doing something like this and she throughly enjoyed it. The races last a couple of minutes with 5-6 laps. They also have a full size race car inside, you can admire and take some pictures. There is also a small snack shop where you can buy chips, juice & chocolates. This facility is well maintained & looks clean & tidy. The restroom was also clean and stocked with all the necessities. The employees were friendly, helpful and patient with the kids. To start off Cameron lied to us. Initially, we told Cameron that we were on a time crunch because we were there for our friends birthday and he had to make a family dinner after, then he told us it would be 20 minutes till our race started, so we bought 2 tickets. After we bought them we went to go sit down and he came up to us almost immediately and said that its going to actually be a hour befoere we could start and walked away. We were annoyed because we werent informed before but it was ok because we would still have time to make the dinner later to find out it was almost 2 hours until they called our race number. After we got our first race done with they told us to go to different carts and sit down because were foing another race right now. After we sat down in our carts we noticed there was a group of kids gearing up and going to there carts which shortely after they started going. We didnt know what was going on and decided to wait it out this one last time so we could race after there race, Keep in mind we were told right after our first race that we were going to start the other one right now. in the middle of waiting for the race one of the employees Jose came up to us to inform us that theres another group infront of us thats on a time crunch so we have to wait for them to do 2 races before we can do our last race. All he was saying was that there absolutely nothing he can do for us and that hes sorry. We obviously said this is insane and we have been constantly lied to throught our wait. We went up to Cameron after, tell him we need a refund and all he had to say was "oh shoot it was you guys". The workers are very not passionate and quite frankly need more tranning on how to work with customers. They only gave us a $20 refund which id less than hapf what we payed and for my time spent there, $20 was definitely not worth it. Me and my friends decided to go here to celebrate our friends 18th birthday. We arrived around 2:15 pm, asking about doing two races. An employee confidently quoted us 20 min wait time, so all 7 of us spent 60 dollars each. 10 minutes into waiting, we were told it would now be an hour. With no choice, we kindly understood and decided to wait. We had to wait an hour and 45 minutes for our first race. We were told to hop in new carts. We understood there would be a race separating our first and second. However, at the end of waiting for our 2nd race. We got approached and told that we had to be cut by another party, due to a time constraint, even though we have waited 2 hours at this point, and my friend had a birthday dinner with his family at 5:15. We got passed off through different employees, with the outcome of us only being refunded for the race we couldn't do. No additionally thank you or voucher for waiting 2+ hours, being recurring customers, and being respectful the whole time. If you are reading this, I would recommend going to a different go kart arena. I have gone to MB2 since I was 5 years old, and it's sad to see them let go like this read more

I visited mb2 this weekend as a surprise for my kids and was so dissatisfied with the lack of customer service I received. There was no one up front to greet us and I had to wait around for someone to help us, a girl with orange hair finally came up and greeted us and explained everything she was very kind and while she was helping me two more girls came up and giggled in the back while there was people in line waiting. I bought arcade cards and a round of lazer tag as well and was helped with both by the same orange haired girl. I saw one of her coworkers not doing anything when I asked for help in the arcade and still did not come up to us. Why one girl was the only one attending to customers when there was two other girls is upsetting and not a good look. My kids loved the races so we will be back but they seriously need to train some of there employees a little better. read more

I've been here once so far with my dad, brothers and our friend. It was a lot of fun driving the electric carts. The steering wheel was very hard, so after the race my arms were very sore. The carts were fast, too. I recommend MB2 if you're a fan of racing. :) read more

Kids love it! Found this place through another kids party & decided to have my son's birthday here (you can also go and race or play at the small arcade without booking anything). I booked the small package for 10 kids & added 1 extra race + bring my own food (which they charge $50 for). It's an ok value for what you get, takes 3 hours but the food they provide isn't much so you kinda have to pay & bring more. It's chill for parents, not much setup/clean up. Kids had so much fun racing & playing laser tag (parents are allowed inside to watch). Arcade can get expensive as usual. Staff was pleasant & helpful. They have their own parking lot.
