Twice I've gone in to sell my decks. Want to charge you for every aspect of every transaction. Are staffed 6-8 people deep, never have time to help you. Came in 3 1/2 hours before closing with 200 singles. Not possible to price them in that amount of time according to them even though with a scanner it can be done in 20 min. Wanted me to leave my decks overnight. Last time, similar situation but I came closer to closing. 100 singles I was forced to desleeve or be charged, when I was done "oh I'm sorry, the guy who signs the checks left for the night. You'll have to leave them overnight." Super shady business. I just want to sell my decks like a normal human being. I can only imagine how they cheat children. Never going back. read more

Super nice space I been dropping by here for a while and they finally found a decent space that has the most space so far along with the best suited for everything they are trying to do. Tons of game space to go and enjoy some games with friends and lots of events week round. The people here are pretty chill it seems to be one of the only good spots in the valley for tcg's other then the ones in Burbank but if you are just trying to get games in this the better value option I think. read more

I just went to the new location and absolutely loved it. It feels way more open now and much more accessible. Was a little crowded the day I went because all the tables were being used. This is my go to for any tcg accessories like deck boxes, dice, sleeves, etc. The employee who helped me was very knowledgeable about mtg decks and made some solid recommendations. This is a wonderful community space for gamers and a really fun place to hang out after work or school. I'm here all the time. They host regular events to play in with plenty of space. They specialize in Magic The Gathering and Pokémon but are expanding into board games and other stuff. They have a large card selection for deck-building and lower event entry fees than other stores of the same type. They now have rooms you can book for DnD plus rooms for streamers. I got into TCG because of my buddy James. It started as collecting then converted into playing the actual game. There are a small handful of LCS on my side of the valley but are slowly thinning. I've known about Fire and Dice for a couple years now but since it is not local to me, I've never been. Until recently. I recently decided to join a pre-release event for the latest Pokémon set. Since I've recently started to build decks and play the game I thought I would like to take the time to experience doing it in public and meeting new people. At first since I didn't know much I was pretty intimidated. While the event started I started to talk to some people around while building the deck. While playing our three rounds, I definitely felt more comfortable, but I may have talked more than played. lol Overall I had a great first experience. I thought I would totally bomb but regardless if I did it was mainly for the social aspect of the event. Comparing FAD to other LCS, I would say that their gaming are is pretty nice. Most LCS' gaming area just feels like tables and chairs laid out and that it. While FAD's gaming area feels like an actual section to play in. I like that they have monitors to designate what is going on and think that is very nice on the presentation and enhances the experience. The prices are above market price which feel greedy for already giving me so little in trade value. I would not trade or sell your cards here. Also variety is lacking in Pokemon cards. When you walk in they might not say hi or hello right away cause they are probably dealing with customers. They may not have loose packs on everything you're searching for but they do keep bulk for purchasing. Price is high but so is every else you go. They do take the time and help you search for items. I keep in mind these were probably not the most social kids at school parks parties and most likely bullied for loving these games we enjoy now. so communication maybe off but not in a harmful way they are just expressing the best way they know how. A good amount of items for sale. Very large place to sit down and play card games. They have some singles but a lot of there cards you cant see and are looked up in there system. So as someone who just likes to brows through binders or boxes of bulk that wasn't great but I know a lot of people look for specific cards so if you're that type of collector definitely stop here. Today was one of the most disappointing and aggravating moments I've ever experienced in a card store in years. We are one the first customers to show up to play today, we are greeted normally and then sit to play, like we have before, waiting on our 3rd party. Once our 3rd person shows up, another employee rudely states to our friend that he better not forget your table fee. We decided that due to the horrible employee and how our friend was treated, we decided to leave immediately. Honestly just on that alone, ruined the whole store for me. Seriously the best card shop around! I come here for all of my collector needs whether it's sleeves, guards, deck pods, and cards (Pokémon, Lorcana, magic). The customer service is always amazing. If I don't know something, I get really honest feedback and support. They are patient and make friendly conversation. My card collection has grown because of Fire and Dice. I usually come for something here once a month or so. Definitely recommend coming here for all of your card needs. I have seen games and tournaments happening but I have not participated my self. The communication definitely is poor. They are not genuine to their customers at all. Its more of a private click or fraternity than a shop or a friendly community. Its only friendly to those who spend big bucks or have been coming there since they were at their old location. They are not friendly to new comers so their so called community is pretty much a pompous nerd gang. Recommended take your children somewhere genuine and where its not pretending to be a family friendly environment but actually is. They are very over baring about charging an extra fee to enjoy any deck building experience or playing with your friends. Shop does have wonderful inventory and many collectable merch but their over all service is plastic and not worth the time. And they discriminative against people who have mental disabilities, and also have a sub conscious borderline prejudice bias against those who practice their religion. No matter how much you spend and show store support. You will never be apart of their so called community. Dont let the smiles and the slogans fool you. Oh and the slightest form of excitement or aggression even if its to be amazed about pre release or anything. Best game store in town. We come to this store at least once a week to look at the Pokémon cards. They guys are so sweet and helpful. My 9yo ask about 1,000 questions and Dekota answer all of them so nicely and patiently! He really knows his stuff! My few times visiting this store have for the most part been very negative. I have never been greeted when walking into the store, in fact it feels like they purposefully make an effort to not acknowledge you and to bury their face into their inventory computers or be on their phones behind the counter. I will say however that when it comes to people who are regular customers they have an entire shift in personality and are welcoming and as social as can be. I understand treating your regular customers well, but to completely disregard a customer like they don't exist but acknowledge a customer they're familiar with who enters after you is just flat out rude and inexcusable as a business. They have an okay selection of products and supplies, however their single cards are priced well above market value. I literally looked up the value of several cards on my phone before entering and they marked up the prices of the cards I was interested in by $5. They told me that they charge tcgplayer prices but that is just a lie. This was of course after I had to nag them to help me. Overall, the customer service here is just bad and can best be described as rude and inattentive. The single cards are very overpriced and not worth it. The selection of card supplies and other products are okay, but every store has the same products at the same or better prices. This place only caters specifically to their small regular customer base who participate in their store events. I would save yourself the trouble and definitely avoid this place entirely especially if you have children. There are much more welcoming card stores that also offer a wider variety of products and singles at way better prices. I was initially very nervous to visit FAD. I've had mostly bad experiences at card shops in recent years. It was great to finally find a place where people are friendly and there is a community of women who play. Being the only women playing a tournament can be really anxiety inducing. I felt very welcome by everyone I met. When I was leaving a player from a completely different card game then the one I was playing waved goodbye to me. Overall I got the vibe that people are very friendly who go here and everyone I met I had good interactions with. Some card shops exist purely to push products onto their customers. Fire and dice clearly cares about having a good environment to game in and that goes a long way. I immediately noticed the play area is like triple the size of the store area. One of the biggest issues I have with my local card shop is they are great to buy stuff from, but no one goes there to play. This was a great change of pace for me. I've showed up to my local card shop and we've not even had drafts for Friday night magic because no one showed up. This was definitely worth the drive and I'm gonna start coming every Monday for flesh and blood. read more

My opinion of Fire & Dice has changed over the past few months. I've been playing a lot of Magic: The Gathering lately and made a commander deck that had some cards that were locally hard to find. I usually prefer to buy local than to resort to online purchases. Suffice to say, I was able to finish 90% of my deck with their help. I would greatly recommend purchasing from them for your MTG needs. They have a wide selection of legacy cards in decent to good condition and will save you a lot of time and money instead of reaching out to the online platform. read more

We have been buying cards from this store for a few years. I recently came in to the store to have about 50 cards that I wanted to sell priced from them. It was a busy evening and the gentleman asked me to leave the cards so he could go through them in the next couple of days in which I said ok. When I went to pick them up because I decided to not sell them because there price was way too low they charged me $20 for pricing them. WTF. How cheap can you be to charge us for pricing cards because you didn't have time to do it originally because you were too busy. So cheap. Will not go back and I suggest anyone selling cards knows about this policy which they didn't represent to us when we left them for their convenance. read more

People always seem to be playing magic the gathering here (commander). So, easy to find a game if you wanna play. They have a lot of cards for sale, but not as wide of a variety as some places I go. Owner/workers are very helpful with building decks. And if you have a list, message them on yelp and they will let you know what they have and can pull them prior to your arrival. First, this is a cool store and they have good stuff. My biggest problem is they have an inaccurate or outdated website/Facebook page. I've driven my kid to this store twice and both times the event on their sites was not happening at all or not appropriate for kids. It's a 35 minute drive each way. Both times, the person working there explained what happened and both times it just didn't make sense. Either way, I'm just not coming back at this point.
