A lot of cheap junk but also some arts and crafts stuff one might need. Never stand in line one. It's the worst.

Some of the items were not standard sizes so I sought help from a nice gentleman named Scott in their framing department.

I like looking for small accents for the kitchen, and they usually deliver. We have a coffee bar, which I like to change out the decor accessories on seasonally. Little 6 inch decorative plates fit perfectly on a mug holder and serve as a place to place mugs while adding sweetener and creamer, saving the mat underneath from spills. I've found really cute ones at HomeGoods, always for a great price versus other options online or around town. Speaking of coffee bar needs - HG carries many options for flavor syrups, as well as other gourmet goodies. I usually go home with at least several items from their specialty food department. Prices reflect a good savings over retail establishments. I usually check out their seasonal kitchen towels. I like that they stock lots of 100% cotton ones. Have picked up some cute mugs for the aforementioned coffee bar. Come to think of it, the large metal mug holder came from HG, too. Just before Christmas I stopped in for last minute shopping. Picked up a few items for our son-in-law's bar, plus cute nutcracker-themed wrapping paper and gift bags. I was able to find everything I needed to round out my shopping list. Mission accomplished! Although there was a long time at checkout, it moved pretty quickly. They could have used at least two more cashiers. It might have been break time when I was there. The woman who helped me get my items scanned was still sporting a smile though it had to have been a long day for her and it was five days till Christmas. Kudos to their staff for keeping the store looking fresh even so close to the big day.

The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The first time I went in was right before Christmas, when I had just moved into my new home and needed a dining room table for Christmas dinner. I was able to find exactly what I needed, and they even helped me load it into my car. I later went back and found a family room table at a great price as well. Most recently, I stopped in looking for a single cabinet knob to replace one that was missing--and once again, they came through. Their selection is impressive, even for small items, and the people who work there are always kind and willing to help. Great prices, great selection, and genuinely friendly people. I highly recommend the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Simi Valley.

For instance if I am looking at most of there lighting I can get the same light fixtures Brand new and cheaper on Wayfair or overstock.com delivered with the ability to return. Whoever does their pricing is way out of touch with what used furniture thrift store furniture should cost they have the same furniture week after week because it's priced way too high. Therefore defeating the purpose of habitat humanity. If you're really looking for a good habitat for humanity the one in Oxnard is excellent five star review great customer service great prices and their furniture is constantly turning over so there's constantly new stuff because everything is priced reasonably Do yourself a favor and skip the Simi Valley store go to the Oxnard store have a great experience and be able to purchase items at reasonable and fair pricing .

Dear Hubby has been super happy to learn of Mike's Clocks, especially. DH retired as a jeweler and watch enthusiast/dealer, and the love runs deep still. I was cleaning and found a unique acrylic-surround clock from the late 50s or early 60s that he'd forgotten about. He took it to Mike for cleaning and evaluation. In a couple days Mike called and said that cleaning and lubricating was all it needed. He gave tips for how to keep the movement safe (use it on a surge protector, as a power spike would likely fry the works). I fell into the rabbit hole of one of their crafty vendors who makes letter signs out of found metal objects. Creating a "J" out of a claw hook, topped with a bottle opener, fastened to a distressed piece of wooden board is an example of the craftiness. All of the pieces utilize things that might have been discarded as old, beat-up, possibly no longer useful. Their rag-tag appearance, when repurposed into new display pieces celebrates American manufacturing, back in its heyday. The hardware also reminds me of all the "pieces - parts" my grandfather used to collect in his garage. Nostalgia for days! We now own four of these small remnants of the past, but that may not be the end of it. The shop owners encourage diving into collecting the letters, by having displays spelling out "SPRING", "CELEBRATE", etc. Possibilities are endless! The various vendors do a wonderful job of freshening their spaces, keeping current with seasonal changes. Some of the accent furniture is repurposed, having undergone a milk paint treatment. Great prices, friendly staff. Keep a sharp eye out for treasures, lest another shopper snag one before you do!

You do not get cellular reception in here if you have TMobile so be aware but one of the worker told me I could connect to their guest WiFi. This year they really hooked me in with some of their special partnership promotions. First it was special releases for "Emily in Paris". How could I resist those?! Not too long after that it was Disney Princesses. Our Sweet Granddaughter's middle name is a tribute to one of the princesses, so of course I stocked up on the scent, body cream, hand sanitizer, and hand soap of that fragrance. They've also made me a fan of their Gingham line of scents. Over the past few years I've acquired many of those releases. The good news is that they are long-lasting; the scents don't go bad prematurely. The pretty graphics and pleasing colors also make it so that I can enjoy displaying the containers in several spots in our bathrooms to add visual interest. I actually do use up some of the products each season, too. If I finish two containers and only buy one, eventually the stash diminishes. At least that's the theory. My favorite body care products are the shower scrubs. Sometimes they are sugar-based, and others might be more salt-based. Some have a silken glow, but still have exfoliating properties. They're great for keeping elbows and heels soft. Lately, BBW has reduced the number of seasonal offerings of the shower scrubs. Some of the ones they are selling are overly sweet florals. I wish they would shake it up more. I'll be keeping an eye on that. Service at this location is friendly and helpful. They keep the merchandising fresh and interesting. Having a small sink to be able to sample the soaps is a nice touch. Belonging to their rewards program yields free products pretty rapidly. Also, they offer special deals all the time on a rotating basis.
