This is a cute local quilt shop. I went in to look for some fabric to use for Christmas stockings. The ladies were so welcoming. The shop is bright and clean and well organized. What an absolutely WONDERFUL quilt shop this is! A little hard to find the first time (since I don't know Simi's mall), but once inside I could've spent another two hours at least! Angie, the owner, is SO welcoming and gave me such helpful information I wasn't expecting! A cute little store that is jam-packed with beautiful projects at a variety of levels, and some wonderful fabrics. The store is clean and easy to move through. The employees were friendly and really make me feel welcome. After I had made my purchase, I was admiring the block of the month. I asked if it was just the pattern or if it came with a kit (fabric included with pattern). She said that it was only the pattern, but she would be willing to put together a kit for me. I was visiting my daughter in Newbury park and was anxiously hoping that she would want to go to a quilt shop. I told her about Quilty pleasures that I used to go to In Simi Valley by Kingdom Vacuum. I had heard they moved and wanted to check it out. Luckily it worked out and we made our way. We were warmly greeted as we came into the store. It was beautifully set up and the fabric choices were great. I had bought some camping placemats for my RV but discovered they were too big. I cut them down and now needed to bind them. I asked one of the ladies to help me and she pulled the perfect color. My daughter was making a quilt and was asking all sorts of questions. I don't remember he name but she was so patient with my daughter and we both walked out "Happy Campers". I would highly recommend Quilty Pleasures for anyone who is a quilter or wants to be a quilter. They have classes and very knowledgeable instructors. The day we went in they were having a class where they would actually cut a already made quilt and make a coat out of them. I saw some coats partially completed and they looked amazing. read more

The people there are so helpful and the store has a lovely variety of fabrics, as well as many other interesting products and even a few gift items not related to quilting. They offer classes in almost any type of quilting projects. They even have an area where you can just have a coffee or tea and visit, or read a quilt magazine in a comfy overstuffed chair. A few times a week they offer a few hours called, " Open Sew", where you can bring your machine or hand work and sew whatever you want and visit and make new friends.
