Would have been nice to put this on their answering machine. Made the trip all the way out here , even bought a groupon deal for this winery. We live in LA as well..

From their website (Maria, Sarah, Brice and Joanne) great picture of all.

Went for the pickup party this weekend. Members get a wide variety of free food which included sausages from Cauycos Sausages which were just excellent and then Maria's homemade tamales. We have been wine club members since 2009 and the Rabbit Ridge Winery has brought us into their family. We love Joanne and Erich and now Sarah (Joanne's daughter) and Brice (Sarah's fiance) are there and more involved with the winery). If you want to pay five times more for wine that will pale in comparison to some of their wines such as the Ole which came out last year or the Allure Reserve then by all means go ahead and do so. I personally would rather enjoy a truly spectacular wine that I didn't have to sell a kidney to purchase. If you have a chance go to San Miguel (around 7 minutes north of Paso Robles) visit the Rabbit Ridge winery and see the immense barrels they have for the wines they sell to Trader Joes. If you want to try first go buy a Trader Joes and get an Allure de Robles for less that $6 and open it and you will see why you should go to the winery on the next visit. I absolutely adore Joanne and her family and wish I could spend more than just the brief visits with her talking and laughing over a glass of some of the best wine in Paso Robles area.

Friendly folks. Beautiful tasting room adjoining their storage and processing area. Confusing with three different brands on the labels Russell, Rabbit Ridge and Serrano, 10 wines sampled (3 whites, seven reds). No wines purchased because Rabbit Ridge price points were not comparable to the product found elsewhere and it is carried by Trader Joe's. The pinot was made in a huge fruit forward style much more like a zin, with nearly no acid. Odd approach to pinot. Wines were more like the typical bulk wine providers. Rabbit wine glasses were purchased.

There is no Rabbit Ridge winery anymore, but when it was open there wines were very mediocre and bad!!

It's 16,000 square feet of underground tunnels. As one of the few spots offering complimentary tastings to our complete surprise! This winery is a hidden gem. We loved the selection so much we had to pick up a few bottles for home! Overall Great wines, beautiful views & amazing service! Definitely going back!

By the end, pretty much everyone in our group had found a wine they wanted to take home--including the ones who swore they weren't buying anything. Dennis, our Tasting Room Host, made the experience. He was warm, very knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging with everyone--from the serious wine lovers to our six-year-old--while keeping things professional and elevated. The whole visit struck that rare balance: polished without feeling formal, refined without ever feeling rushed or "in-and-out." Dennis has been with Eberle since 2017, and you can feel how much he cares about the place. He spoke about the winery with such genuine pride, and as you look around the tasting room at the rows of award ribbons from years of vintages, it hits you--this is a place with real history behind it. That sense of legacy and care is woven into the whole experience. The historic wine caves are a must, the complimentary tasting felt generous and unhurried, and the grounds have that unmistakable Paso magic--rolling hills, big oaks, golden light, and room to breathe. We even crossed paths with Gary Eberle (founder, 1979) and his sweet black poodle, Vieto--one of those authentic, only-in-wine-country moments that sums up the welcoming spirit here. If you go, ask for Dennis--he turned our first visit into one we'll plan future trips around. Good to know before you visit: * Make a reservation--it gets busy * Don't skip the cave tour (you can even taste down there) * Large lawn & games--great for kids and mixed groups * Very dog-friendly * Private, romantic tastings available in the caves * Complimentary tastings + military discount available * Plan to stay a while...and bring your camera :)

It's the kind of place where you could easily sit for hours enjoying the landscape and a glass of wine. The wines are consistently excellent. The tasting lineup always showcases the quality DAOU is known for, and one of the great perks is that they often have several library wines available that can be requested and served by the glass. Being able to enjoy some of their older vintages this way makes the experience even more special for wine enthusiasts. What I appreciate most about DAOU is how they've managed to maintain a small, family-style atmosphere despite being acquired by a larger company a few years ago. The hospitality still feels personal and genuine. The staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, not only about the wines themselves but also about the history of the vineyard and the vision behind it. I'm a big fan of this winery and how it has evolved over the years. Between the stunning views, exceptional wines, and welcoming staff, DAOU is always a must-stop whenever visiting Paso Robles.

Yeah, I didn't believe it either, but then I saw a sign in their vineyard that proved me wrong. It read: "Water into Wine" And now, I'm a believer! So what brought us to this magical place you ask?? Well, besides the obvious (the wine).... It was the.... ok you caught me!! We came for the wine! Yeah, we were staying at the Ava Hotel in Paso for my wife's birthday weekend (definitely check this place out if you are looking for a beautiful spot to call home away from home) And being that we were in wine country.... We wanted a nice outdoor vineyard where our kids could be outside, run around, and get all of their energy out all while Mommy & Daddy had our own little R&R time sippin' on the good stuff. And let me tell you, it was Good Stuff! When we first arrived at Sculpterra, we already knew the place was going to be a hit as the parking lot was hoppin. And apparently we weren't the only ones that got the memo that this place was THE PLACE to be as it was just a little bit off the beaten trail from where we started out... Approximately 6 miles from "Downtown Paso" (through the city limits, down the 'ol country back roads and suddenly we were in wine country!) Prior to heading to the vineyard, we did a quick pit stop at McDonalds for the kids so they had something they liked. As for me and my wife, we opted to get some of the local fare items offered on site, cause what goes better with wine than a yummy charcuterie board? I'll answer that momentarily! But wait, theres more!!!! Upon finding a nice little table outdoors to sit and relax with our wine chilled in a bucket of ice, there was suddenly music to our ears and Love to my eyes! Yes, there was lovely Live Music being played by a band and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a food truck serving Mexican Food from a local Mexican restaurant. Remember earlier when I said what goes better with wine than a charcuterie board? Well, if you guessed a little Mexican Food, then you are oh so right, but only in moderation! So in order not to ruin the good vibes of the beautiful vino from Sculpterra, I opted for just one taco and a cup of their poblano soup and man was it fire. The soup was piping hot and it had a kick of spice that made me spice from ear to ear. As far as the wine, the vineyards vibe and the entire aesthetic of the grounds, Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Gardens (the vineyard was adorned with many abstract and contemporary pieces that are all photo worthy), this place checks all the boxes. The place is kid friendly as there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, with areas for the kids to throw a ball, run around, or even learn to play a g as a game of chess. A decent variety of Reds, Whites, & Blends are all up for grabs, so if you find yourself in Paso Robles with the fam or its just you and your hunny, definitely come check this place out and watch the miracle of them turning water into wine!
