We needed central air installed in our home. Rick was responsive when we requested a quote. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. For reference, our home had the venting/tubing ready for AC but only had a swamp cooler installed. We received a quote on Monday, spoke with Rick on Wednesday with a few questions we had & after deciding to move forward, he scheduled our installation for THAT Friday! SO quick! Rick and his team arrived on time and prepared. The job took about 7 hours & they were very respectful of our home, placing down materials to prevent any mess in our space. They removed our swamp cooler FREE OF CHARGE - that's usually a decent cost! They also cleaned up and removed everything that was being replaced. I can't recommend this company enough. I can't say enough good about Rabbit HVAC! I got quotes from them and another company that made a smooth sales pitch. Both companies gave me a quote on the exact same Lennox 16 SEER Air Conditioner and Rabbit was significantly lower. But that was only the beginning. When they came to do the install, they were extremely professional and thorough. They went above and beyond in making sure all the ductwork around the furnace was replaced well. When they were done, they cleaned up beautifully and there were no extra fees tacked on, even though they did some additional work. They explained every step to me and answered all my questions. used Rabbit Heating and Air to resolve a problem I was having with my new evaporative cooler (installed by another company) I was told on the phone that it was a $60 fee to come out, but that it would be taken out of my total charge if I used their company. I was pretty sure the leaking was just an issue with the float arm, and told Rick, the technician who arrived, that. He was on my roof about 15 minutes and then came down and spent a lot of time bad mouthing the original installers. I find that to be incredibly unprofessional behavior. He told me he did adjust the float arm and that fixed the leak, he said a metal tube had a crimp in it, and showed me a picture of a metal tube with a very slight dent, he stated the spider/water distributing apparatus was leaking and he screwed it in using a little teflon tape. He also informed me they don't work on coolers with internal water sources, mine isn't. He then charged me $179! He didn't use any parts, and all he did was twist the float back on! After he left we noticed the water was spraying out of the tube connected to the outside faucet. It was fine the day before he came. It was obvious he had pulled on the plastic water line. It's easy to catch your foot on it, I've done it myself back when I took care of my cooler myself. I called and he came a day late. He accused everyone but himself. He fixed the issue and begrudgingly said he wouldn't charge me! He was very dismissive of evaporative coolers and this made me even more uncomfortable. I cannot recommend this company. I found this technician disrespectful and unprofessional, and I felt taken advantage of by this $179 charge. read more

We called Rabbit out on one of the hottest days of the year to look at why our AC was not working correctly. They replaced the AC capacitor and charged almost $600. I called around and researched and based upon online searches and calls to other repair companies in the area, I believe we were overcharged by over double for the service. Company claims they did not via the few emails exchanged. Read exact invoice to other companies and they all stated we were overcharged. My opinion, shop around before settling on this company and its prices. read more

Great experience! We have been searching for an HVAC company to install a new AC system, furnace and relocate our outside unit to the other side of our house, and are so happy we found Rabbit Heating & Air! This project went smooth from start to finish. Rick came by, on time, to give us an estimate and thoroughly explained our options to us. He was extremely knowledgable about the products they offered for install. We were so impressed, and of course the price was right, that we hired them on the spot. Rick said he could have a crew to our house the very next day and he actually did! He also promised he could get the work done in one day and they did! The crew arrived at 9:30 am and were done before dinner! These guys came in and got right to work. The crew was extremely respectful and even laid down protective coverings on our floors. This project could not have went any better! When the guys were done they cleaned up, walked the job with us thoroughly, and left. They left ZERO mess!! We had a contractor out the week before for a different project that slapped it up, left a mess, and left angry because we held them to their work so naturally we were cautious on who we were going to hire for this job. We have lived with our new AC and furnace for the past couple of days and can honestly say there is a noticeable difference. While giving us our estimate Rick noticed we may need some duct re-routed and minor repairs to the way the system was originally installed and he was right because now our house actually feels balanced! Rick is a great guy. I would say he is honest, takes the time to evaluate your needs and full of ideas. He quoted me pricing for a furnace install and new ductwork in the basement. The pricing was acceptable and far from the overpriced estimates I got from 4 other companies. I had a total 7 companies come for quotes at my place. Rick identified some issues with my ducting and provided solutions for them when the other companies didn't even bother checking or didn't notice or didn't give a satisfying solution. The installers came in, prepped, wasted no time, installed the furnace and routed new and rerouted old ductwork all in 8 to 9 hours. They left my basement clean and organised. Excellent work done and awesome installers. Passed inspection witb no problems. They did a great job. I will make sure I call Rick at Rabbit for service and other HVAC jobs. read more

Five stars for RIck and Mark. We live in an older home which has a boiler that has needed some work so we have had a couple of different technicians work on it in the past two years. Recently the pilot light would go out...we had a new thermocouple installed but that didn't work. We then got a quote on replacing the gas valve on the boiler of close to $1100. Rick said that was a bit high and could do it for $625...so we went with his estimate. He came, installed the gas valve, added a new thermocouple, cleaned the soot from the heat exchangers - realigned them - then purged the system (this is something NO OTHER SERVICE PERSON HAS BEEN ABLE TO DO) and still just charged $625. Amazing....they will be our go to people from now on. Oh yes....called him in the morning....fixed by the afternoon. read more

Very happy with this company going above and beyond what was expected. I needed a service/cleaning and certification of my furnace. It turned out that a previous company who had come to give me a bid on central air had left a sticker on my furnace stating that it had a cracked heat exchange. It was not true as the heat exchange was not cracked, and the other company was just trying to scam me into unnecessarily buying a new furnace as well as AC. The sticker had been noticed during a home inspection while I was trying to sell my home, and it was scaring off the buyers. Rabbit Heating & Air was able to professionally certify my furnace that it was indeed working fine with no cracked heat exchange. The buyers were still skeptical after the certification. So I got a call from Rabbit Heating who offered to go back and take pictures and do whatever they could to help put my buyers at ease. The certification by Rabbit Heating had already been done and paid for, and they offered the extra service of going back at no charge to take pictures of my furnace just to help me out. Rabbit was the lowest of 3 bids I received and Rick was the most informative of the 3 bidders. I had Rabbit proceed w/ the replacement of the AC and furnace. The install crew was awesome. They were polite, courteous and efficient. Rick assisted with the install. I thought it was impressive that the owner got involved with the installation. They ran across one issue they weren't expecting which required rerouting my bathroom exhaust which took them some extra time which they didn't charge for. At the end of the install Rick took his time and explained the operation and maintenance of the system. They also thoroughly explained how to get the manufacturer and Xcel rebates and had all that paperwork ready for me. It is so refreshing to work with an honest and straightforward company! I searched around for a good HVAC company and came across Rabbit's website. They post their prices online for a full furnace installation. Who else does that? The price was well below the astronomical bids I received from two other contractors, so I called Rabbit. Within a day, Rick, an owner of the company, came out and spent quality time with me explaining the options and making sound recommendations. It was not a sales pitch, it was more of a consultation with a very knowledgeable and experienced guy telling me a lot about my system and his recommendations for changes. He carefully listened to my input and modified his recommendations accordingly. I was thoroughly impressed. He mentioned several changes they'd need to make to my ducting to assure the full install would meet code. After arriving at a great solution, and talking about the extras, I braced for the new price. It was the same as the online price! Woo-hoo! Once we pulled the trigger, his crew was here quickly and were super courteous and did excellent work. Rick was onsite for most of the work. He and the crew stayed into the evening to complete the thorough job. They left the house spotless and with two brand new furnaces. I had the inspection done a few days later, and it passed easily. I was very pleased with the whole process. When I first saw the online price, I figured it was a lure to get my interest, and that maybe it was too good to be true. But it is exactly what I paid. We electively decided to replace an aging attic furnace and the original company we were going to have install (Now Heating and Air) decided the day before to jack up the price of the estimate by over $1,200 over what should have been the going rate (I researched this through several sites). I found this company through the BBB and Yelp and when I called, Rick (who does the estimations) turned in an estimate comparable to what was the going rate. He immediately answered all of my questions, called back immediately when I had more, and even pointed out things that I hadn't considered. Not once did I feel pressured to purchase/upgrade/or make a deal on a furnace. In fact, Rick was very informative and I felt even more confident about what needed to be done without the pressure. When this company came to do the installation, they arrived exactly when they said they would, carefully protected the closet access area with plastic to minimize dust residue on wife's clothes, they were neat, professional, and left the place cleaner than it was to begin with! My wife is very picky so if she was pleased with their level of service, this should be a strong endorsement of this company. I have dealt with many service companies in the past and know when you get a lemon but this company is just the opposite...a honest business. I had to call the other 2 companies to come out, both were very sales orientated and ended up being much more expensive. Three years afters the service was performed by Rabbit Heating and Air I found out through a very expensive but trusted company that the technicians from Rabbit routed the vents into our ceiling. Our walls and vents are completely full of lint, along with replacing vent hoses with foil. Their actions have created a fire hazard for my home and my family.
