I needed to replace the stock 2007 Cadillac STS front rotors and pads. The were warped and pusated and growled when braking. I ordered from R1 and received the drilled and slotted and coated discs. From the start until now, one year later, sound and ack the same as those I replaced. Terrrible noise: growls and gates. Not happy at all. Money down the drain. Cannot recommend. They told me at the start they would wear in and be fine. No Way. read more

I have a 2013 Prius with 200K miles on the original rotors, It was time for a replacement and I looked for non OEM supplier and found R1 Concept to have good online reviews - I called them and at their suggestion bought the standard non drilled Geomet version rotors with Ceramic pads for all 4 wheels. Because of some of the reviews complaining about brake noise, I wanted a reputable shop to install the brakes rather than myself, insuring and guaranteeing the installation. R1 Concepts recommended a local shop, Harbor Tires in Garden Grove that knows R1 products. I ordered the brakes for will call, and drove them down to Harbor Tires where they were installed for $120 in 60 minutes. R1's customer service and warehouse help at the time of pick-up was excellent as was the shop they recommended. Total cost was around $270 - I have driven around 1500 miles since the installation with excellent results. I highly recommend R1 Concept. read more

I have been using R1 for about 6 years now. I did have slight problems with the slotted rotors I bought for a 2003 maxima. They made noise and didn't stop very well. The reason why I liked them is they didn't seem to rust. About 1 1/2 years ago I put the cross drilled rotors with ceramic brake pads on my Wife's 2012 Toyota Sienna. They last about a year and then just started getting deep ruts. I sent pictures to R1 Concepts and their reply was, "They are out of warranty and they must have gotten debris caught in the holes" THis is not a car that I take on trails! How rediculous. They are nothing but scrap metal after putting on about 10,000 miles. I will never buy from this company again. read more

Prior to this purchase I have had absolutely no previous dealings with R1 Concepts, in fact I had never even heard of them before this. What brought me to them was that I was looking for a set of rear "Power Slot" brand brake rotors for my '93 Trans Am. I had checked my normal retailers of choice when out of curiosity I decided to see what I would find on ebay. R1 concepts had them for close to $40 cheaper for the pair before shipping than what I was seeing at the typical F-body performance parts places I usually purchase from. After verifying the part numbers in the listing to be correct, I went and ahead and made my purchase. After I made the purchase they emailed me for the model of my vehicle to verify that these were the correct parts. That show's a bit of initiative on their part. The rotors shipped within two business days and a tracking number was provided. Upon receiving the package, all items were well packed and the part numbers on the boxes matched to the listing and manufacturer as being correct. Over all a painless experience and they had the best price on this particular part. I would have no hesitation dealing with them again in the future. read more

I own 4 vehicles, and maintain a fleet of many more, (as I'm the only mechanic in a large group of friends) and will continue to recommend and purchase from these guys. There products are great quality, and there prices are beyond competitive. After installing a full set of "drilled and slots", and braided lines on my BMW 325i, and they performed well, I then put a set on my Impreza, now I'm running them on my wife's Accord, which routinely is used to transport my little girl (my most precious cargo), and my 323is, I drive two of these cars as commuters 70+ miles a day, and have had to put them to the test several times due to deer, and in attentive drivers, thankfully they've performed flawlessly time and time again. Ordered E-line rotor/brake kit for the daily driven car which would shake the steering wheel out of your hand trying to stop from high speed. System worked great!!! So,I also had some issues with the braking on my 1996 Dodge Ram, so I ordered a set of E-lines for it. Worked great!!! Till.......boom, boom boom, the outer passenger side brake pad was gone after less than 2,000 miles. I don't drive it much, it's been 2 plus months since the install. CUSTOMER SERVICE said I only have a 1 month warranty on the pads. It's obviously defective workmanship since the other 3 pads look like new. Set pictures to them and still the same corporate line, 1 month. Very disappointed in the product support side of this business. Was definitely hoping for better. They could have easily had a happy customer with just the replacement of a defective product. ????? read more

Purchased a rear brake set ceramic brakes with premier series rear rotors slotted and drilled from Amazon, in the picture the brake rotors had a stamped PS emblem indicating a Premier Series rotor, and multiple slots setting it apart from standard oem three slots offered by stop tech at a much cheaper price. When I received the package there was blank cardboard boxes with no indication that it was even a r1 concepts rotor, and only three slots like the OEM nothing like the picture, so I contacted them and they said that photo was an example of the rotor but not the real picture of the rotor! What? They also told me to check the serial to see if it was right, so I look it up to it turns out it's a stop tech rotor the same oem clone I saw for a cheaper price! So I confront them about it when they spilled the beans that they use other manufacture to fill orders. Out of control it seems they had no premier series rotors for my car in stock so they bought cheap stop tech rotors and ceramic brakes and shipped it to me making excuses for why it isn't a r1 concepts rotor. I will keep people updated, but you have to ask yourself why take the risk that you might get something less than what you payed for really pissed off this the most I ever wrote, wasting my life cause of r1concepts! After a lot of research online and forums I finally pull the trigger and gave R1 a shot. I gave them a call directly since I like dealing with a live person when purchasing anything for my car. The rep that helped me was Ralph. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. After some time going back and forth with Ralph I decided to go with a slotted set in the higher grade line that has the black finish for my 350z. He gave me a great deal since I call during one of their promo sales. The shipping was super fast. The craftsmanship was really nice and most importantly, the fitment was perfect. I had a very difficult issue identifying my proper rotors because I drive a special edition Charger, the DUB Edition. Long story short, I could not find a way to identify the right sized rotors ANYWHERE because unannounced to me, the 2WD SXT DUB Editions are equipped with different rotor sizes than the regular 2WD SXT Chargers. Steven from R1 Concepts went so far out of his way to help me that he sent me a message on one of the Dodge Charger Forums with a diagram to help me identify the information that he needed, and then asked me to call him so we could get to the bottom of this. Also, when I spoke with him, NOT ONCE did he try to sell me anything. He went out of his way to help me, just because. It may seem like no big deal, but things like this definitely make the difference. When would anyone else ever do this..?
