Cheap good parts machined my rotors did a nice job fast service and were done in 45 minutes.

I arrived to Amigos at around 7:45am to order a driver side mirror to replace the one I damaged the night before from side swiping my neighbors car in the alley. I wanted to have the part ordered before I headed out to work that way I could pick it up on the way back. The store opens at 8am according to what I was told the night before when I called. Well 8am came and the doors were still not open. I waited a bit longer till about 8:30 and someone had finally showed up. I went ahead and ordered the mirror which I was told would be ready for me at 12:30. The girl behind the counter double checked with the warehouse and assured me I'd have my part at said time. After work I stopped by to pick up the mirror at around 2:30. I had made arrangements with the mechanic and my neighbor to meet up at the body shop at 3pm since I was told my part would be available much earlier. I gave the cashier my receipt and she went to get my mirror well turns out they never checked the contents and the driver sent an empty box from their warehouse. Now I was being told that they would have to pick up the part again and it would be no more than a 45 min wait, and that they would call me prior to dropping it off for me at the body shop because of the inconvenience. I left to the body shop to meet up with my neighbor to notify them of what had happened I explained the situation and told them it would take another hour. 1 hour passed and still no word from any drivers. I called amigos and let them know I was still waiting for my part mind you after being on hold for 15min. She told me she spoke to the driver and he was in back to back traffic that it would take an additional 45 min. Again I had to explain to my neighbor the situation at hand. 45 min passed and still no call so I called amigos again to be on hold for another 10 min and spoke to a gentleman whom I've explained the situation to while he pretended to act like he was concerned about my experience "oh man that's some bullshit". He told me you're parts been here im looking at it right now I explained how I was told they were dropping it off and guy told me it be much faster if I picked it up. I finally had the part with me by 5:50pm. By that time my neighbor was done waiting so I had to postpone the body shop visit to another day and the body shop was closing at 6pm anyway. I understand things happen but its difficult to empathize when I was told one thing, and the result was further from the truth. What's the point of showing up early if I still didn't get my part til late evening or having to waste a day waiting for something they had no intention of dropping off or even notifying me of its arrival. Not just my time but my neighbors and mechanics time. In conclusion if you want cheap affordable parts but are in no rush for them this is the spot. But if you're like me and have an itinerary to be as efficient as you can to maximize your time then I wouldn't recommend this spot. Very unprofessional and irresponsible. After going to this place for over 15 years I will never go again. I needed a part for my truck at a cost or $60. No big deal. They refused to order it for me even though I let them know I was a long time customer and would have to walk over to pay for the part. After their refusal I called Ford and got the part at twice the cost but they were willing to get it for me. Unfortunate that customer service is no longer a priority. read more

Our insurance carrier and their legion of lawyers prohibit us from knowingly selling you a different part than the computer specifies." Meanwhile, over at Amigo's, "Sure, just 'Mexican it up' with a piece of cloth hanger wire and some electrical tape and you're good." This place is cheap, high-volume, informal and quick to get you out of stock parts. Please don't knock this place if you were expecting antiseptic, faux-we're-serious-mechanics-and-would-you-like-to-buy-some-chrome-hub-caps, we'll-hold-your-hand experience you get at the chain store. My fiance and I stopped by to pick up a new alternator for his this weekend. The prices are reasonable and as long as you bring back the part, they'll refund the core charge. I stayed in my car while my fiance went in but overall, he was happy with the service and says he plans to come here for any and all parts in the future. It may be a bit out of our way home wise but its close to his work so that works out. According to him though, the customer service alone is worth it. read more

Great service and very friendly people.They really know their stuff unlike those people at Autozone. Even when busy their quick to help you. There is a guy that works out of this shop... he did a half-assed paint job on our truck...ruined the rims because he spray painted them when he was supposed to powder coat them, lost $150 of factory body panel letters, because he decided to let his kids play with them... yes, you are reading this right.... HE ACTUALLY TOLD ME HE LET HIS KIDS PLAY WITH MY LETTER DECALS. He even hit us up for an advance on his payment, because he said he needed the money, and I made the mistake of feeling sorry for him. This guy calls himself a mechanic and body man, promised client satisfaction, but he is not professional, doesn't keep his word, and apparently is OK screwing people over. He said he was going to fix everything, and didn't come close ... he asked for more time, and was given it to him... now he is not even returning my calls. His word doesn't mean more than dog shit on the lawn. This place told us at about 2 pm, my bearings would be ready at 7. We went at 7 only to find one of the bearings was not done right. So we took it back. They said they would fix it. They ended up making me and the mechanic wait another day costing me a fortune. The cashier told us the bearing was the wrong one and he would have to order it.
