I went in last week to get brake pads, and I was being helped by a young girl named Belinda. This location is a lot better than the one on Studebaker. The over all experience is much more welcoming and calm. We were greeted at the door and we shopped around in peace. Reason why I'm only able to give this location 4 stars is because they had expired soda(expired in September) in the fridge that we bought but they accommodate us and refund with no problem. Autozone. Another business that gets a really bad rap. Whenever you need auto parts, Autozone has the part or can get the part, usually the same day. Gone are the days when we would buy a part and have to wait 3-5 days to get it. Most Yelpers that are highly critical of Autozone should realize that Autozone can only do so much for you. If a wanna-be mechanic misdiagnoses your personal vehicle, then Autozone is not at fault if you purchased the wrong part. Autozone can only do so much for you, while highly critical Yelpers indefinitely postpone the preventative maintenance on their personal vehicles until their car finally breaks down. I hate going to this location because how unprofessional the management is EVERYTIME . Luckily Mike T was so helpful and nice. I waited to pay and instead of this female employee, letting me know someone will help. She yells at another employee to help who was already busy with another customer. Then she yells for Mike ,instead of walking over to him. She made me feel so uncomfortable. When Mike tried to ring me up, we had an issue with a barcode coming up invaild . The two female managers were just talking about NON WORK related things and in Spanish. Mike tried getting them to help with the item, but they continued talking. I ordered a repair manual on May 14 at 11am and got a confirmation email. An hour later my order was cancelled by Auto Zone. I called and asked for an online refund and they said contact my bank. The charge stayed Pending for 2 days and I was charged for the full amount TODAY, the 16th. If a refund was issued on the 14th as they say it would never would have been finalized 2 days later! Now they say 3 to 5 business days a refund will be issued. Hey, Auto Zone, you didn't have the item you said you had! And your keeping my money for 5 days! Nice job! read more

I went to this Autozone because my car battery was acting like it didn't want to be in my car any longer. As soon as I walked in the door Michael (Mike) asked me what I needed. I told him about the battery. He immediately grabbed the battery-checking device and headed to the parking lot. He opened the hood and discovered that on a Ford Escape, the battery is basically back by the firewall and covered halfway by the area where the windshield wipes are. A very difficult position. Mike checked the battery and it did need to be replaced. He said they would normally do the installation but it would take quite a while due to the positioning of the battery and the parts around it that would need to be removed to get it in and out. Norwalk Square does not allow car maintenance on the property. If it was an in and out he would have done it. I still appreciated the quick service, and the great attitude and would return for anything else I need. Thank you Mike! read more

Terrible customer service. - they literally said "google it" when we asked them for availability of a part at other Autozones Incompetence - they gave us the wrong snow chain even though we gave them the right tire measurements. And we know that bc we gave the same measurements to Pep Boys and they gave us snow chains that fit. Pep Boys also offered to let us try it on without having to pay for it first; came out and checked to see if it fit properly; and gave us general advice for how to drive with snow chains as first time users. I do not recommend this Autozone to anyone. They were unable to help us, rude customer service, and have zero interest in providing a good customer experience. read more

Went in for simple battery warranty swap. Sales associate Ryan I believe immediately acted unprofessional and scoffed when I asked for help to install. Told me to go get the battery out myself. He made me feel totally unwelcome. I had just come from another Autozone where they tested my battery which failed but since they didn't have the battery they referred me here. This guy reluctantly came and tested my battery to which he said it was perfectly fine and that the other associate from the other store was "incompentant." I think this dude purposely ran the wrong test so he wouldn't have to swap the battery. I left promptly to get away from this guy and went to a third Autozone to get tested again and sure enough, failed. Was able to get my battery swapped easily at another location. I came here to check on my battery since my battery light was on, and a friend told me they could check it for free. The guy who helped me at the time told me that the battery was dead and that I needed a new battery. Since I didn't know any better at the time, I believed him and bought it and had it installed. He took my battery, and went inside. Not even a minute later when the car started did the battery light turn right back on. I went inside to talk to the manager, but she said that they don't do returns on batteries since they already installed it, and they wouldn't give me back my old battery, since at that point the battery wasn't the problem. She was dismissive as she said this, not even lifting her head to talk to me. After asking the guy switched the batteries why the light came back on even though he said it was just the battery that was the issue, his only response to me was "Well, you said it was okay to replace it." At that point, I knew they were only in it for the money, and didn't actually care about me, so I left. Very poor customer service, and very misleading and shady the way they handled it. The guy didn't bother checking if the alternator was the cause of the battery light, and he didn't even offer to charge my battery. He immediately said it was the battery that needed to be replaced. Keep in mind this car was bought recently, so the battery was already new when I got it. The manager and the employee knew what they were doing and didn't care that I got finessed. They just wanted to come up on a brand new battery, but they totally screwed me over in the process. I went to a different AutoZone, the one down the street on Rosecrans, and ended up buying a new alternator and installing it, which promptly removed my battery light. It hasn't come back on since then either, with it almost being a full year since I replaced it. They were helpful and didn't try to get more money of off me. Obviously now I know better about cars in general, but I would expect them to know how to properly diagnose an issue, seeing as they offer to help you with battery problems for free.
