Before making my first purchase for rotors & pads. I like to read reviews and noticed lots of bad reviews of wrong size for this and that. If I wouldn't of call i would of gotten the wrong ones too. I called and Peace searched and told me that for my vichle has 2 different sizes 300mm & 320mm, and here is if one does not know is. Then this is the reason someone may get wrong size. I then had to call Volvo for this information I spoke to Peace I was able to find the correct ones to use. Have bought 4 sets for different vichles that I have. Peace has always recommended the best rotors and pads for each of my vichles. read more

I've bought the e-line drilled and slotted rotors along with the ceramic brakes as my car's breaks and rotors were getting worn out on January 2020. Since day 1 after the break-in procedure, the car screeches when I break to stop. I've called a representative and they said that the rotors might be glazed. Okay. How can be the rotors already be glazed when I just bought them?? They wouldn't offer a refund unless there was something severely wrong (which there is) with their product. Moreover, I've already paid an independent shop labor costs to put these rotors and breaks into my car, so there was honestly no point in paying more to replace them as they work fine, but the annoyance from the screech is real. I've driven over 1500 miles since then, and it still screeches to this day. I will never buy parts from here going forward. read more

I bought rotors for my Kia optima 2016 and it made a whole lot of noise. I called customer service and they advised i got some sort of oil and add to the rotors and brake pads and if the sound didnt stop i should call and they would refund me. The sound didnt stop and customers i picked up reported me to uber and this was sighted as a safety issue, and account blocked till i had it fixed. I had to buy a new rotor from Kia and this so called R1 wont refund me, they kept saying the only solution was to give me a replacement, and when i eventually requested for one, they changed their story and said i should bring a brake inspection whatever. Basically, i was scammed, sold a trash rotor and didnt get a refund or replacement, mind you i lost a lot of money, buying from them, having it installed, having it taken out again to be replaced with an original from Kia. Please be careful about these guys, i was warned but i wanted something cheap. I regret buying from them and would recommend you stay away from them read more

Brought a brake & rotor kit from this company, and they sent me the wrong size front rotors. My mechanic, fortunately had another brake & rotor set in stock, so I decided to go with his parts instead of having a mix & match set. I called R1 and explained the situation and requested for a return shipping label. They supplied me with a label, I proceed (July 8th) to RETURN ALL THE ITEMS.. R1 has told me, they only received the front rotors and gave me a partial refund! Here today August 2nd... After speaking with a customer service sales rep Daniel, and fully explained what occurred, my refund has been issued in full! I was so impressed I decided to purchase the rear drilled and slotted with akebono pads again and wow Definitely noticed a difference driving Braking So smooth and yet the braking time is a lot sooner. This is my honest review. I had recently purchased a brake kit for my 2020 Ford mustang gt (rotors and brake pads.)it turns out that it was not an exact fit. First of all, the entry holes where you mount the rotors to the car, are slightly larger than the OEM. (The OEM rotors have smaller and tighter holes) Meaning there's enough gap around the bolts to make the entire wheel hub move even when the rotors are installed. Nothing really dangerous but not an exact fit. My rotors are technically "floating" as it Dosent lock in place because of the larger holes. The car brakes fine and have I no braking issues .And no, mounting the wheels thinking it'll tighten on its own,DO NOT fix this issue. The wheel hub still moves. Honestly pretty disappointed with all the hype going on. But this was my experience. read more

Bought a brake kit with rotors and some pads and the brake pads were deteriorating. Contacted them about a refund and they refused until i complained and they agreed to send a replacement only and they came out the same. Rotors are fine but brakes and service complete trash. Legit both the brakes came sealed in their own deteriorated dust and chipped. It would of been unsafe for me to use any of the brakes they sent me. After researching a few sets of rotors and brake pads for my Range Rover Sport, I decided to purchase them from R1 Concepts. Telephone customer service seemed friendly and willing to help by making their recommendations. Once at the showroom, they also make their recommendations, which aren't totally the same as what they tell you over the phone. Nonetheless, I purchased the Optimum OEp pads and Carbon Geomet series rotors. They said these pads are as close to the original (in materials) and that these rotors offer the most stopping power. I took the parts to an auto shop that also happens to sponsor them so they could install on my vehicle. After the installation, everything seemed fine. I drove about 40 miles to get home and upon applying the brakes, they started squealing horrifically. Of course it was now after hours so I had to call the next day. They told me that because the rotors came with a protective coating, the car needed to be driven approximately 1000 to 1200 miles to "break them in." I explained to them that the squealing was unacceptable and that there was no legitimate reason for it but they insisted that I continue "breaking them in." I continued driving my car but was completely embarrassed every time the brakes were applied and it squealed so bad. I requested a refund but they said no since parts were installed/used and they weren't defective. I continued to complain until they decided to give a FREE replacement set for the front and rear pads. These Optimum OEp pads are of poor quality, squeal horribly, and create so much brake dust that I can't wait to replace them with better quality pads. I really wouldn't recommend R1 Concepts to anyone and would've given them only one star but at least they did give me a free replacement set. read more

7/7/2020 Got a call and emails were exchanged between R1 and I, they worked with me and are going to be sending me a different set of pads that are not the OEp. Instead they will be sending me a ceramic based compound based pads. Let's hope this fixes the issue. Thumbs up though for them listening to their customers and attempting to make it right. Sometimes the difference between "we can't help you" and an actual attempt to make things right is a better result on both parties. Very difficult company. I have purchased a brake pad (front and rear) for my car. My tech said your existing brake pads are half worn out. You do not need to replace it with new pads. It is very difficult to return and threatening. They ask me for the restocking fee and return fee. I agree with the return fee but. Most companies don't require that fee. read more

The service guy said they are made here in California, I said great thanks. Then ordered. Got them in and they are made in China. I am very disappointed in what I received. Horrible company. Put a fake review in my car group which I fell for so I purchased. Super disorganized, couldn't tell me if they even had my parts or not. Everyone I talk to told me something different. Finally got my parts. The brake pads were so bad I took them back to the installer to make sure they bled my brakes right. Performance Sport in front and oemP pads in rear. Dangerously bad even after 2 bed ins and 1200miles. Paid my installer a second time and had to buy new OEM pads to switch out. They keep telling me they will "take care of me' then send me the link to their 60-day new, unused return policy. Please don't give them your money. read more

I ordered a brake kit from them and they apparently switched so you have to order through amazon. I was directed to amazon to buy the kit. They came in and on to the install. Car was up on the rack and new rotors on, but apparently they sent 2 left rotors in the kit instead of a left and right. I called to get it resolved but they said it was amazons fault and they could not help. Amazon said the kit is pre sent out to them from R1 and they could not do anything unless I took the whole kit off and sent them the whole kit back. So now I'm out a car for another week or so and the customer service of R1 has been completely unacceptable. All I was asking was for a right rotor send and I would send the second left rotor back, but they were unwilling to help. I will not recommend buying from them because if you do and its not perfect you will be out of luck getting the problem rectified. read more
