Honestly this is a fave place of mine. Having the ability to choose different food options is amazing. It's like a food hall type of place. Good food, lots of choices of places to go and eat. I took a walk around because I wasn't very hungry but I did want to try something different. I ended up getting a pizza empanada, just one of them, as I wanted to save room for Taharka ice cream or one of the other places that had dessert. My pizza empanada was good. It was hot, the outside was crispy and the inside was just full of deliciousness. The service upon ordering and then receiving my food was excellent as well as the Taharka ice cream we had afterwards. It was my first time to the R House but it won't be my last. I did find a tad bit loud as there were a lot of kids running around playing on some of the structures in the front area of the restaurant. It was a Friday evening at the end of the summer so I do understand about kids being out for an evening with their friends. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend checking this restaurant out. If you can't decide what you're in the mood for, this is your spot! They do offer several different options. Since they have opened, some spots came and went. Some have been there for as long as I can remember. There is one spot reserved for pop-ups which I think it a cool concept. They also have a bar in the middle which I have gone once and loved the drink creations! There are plenty of tables and space for singles up to a large family! In terms of the food, I would be cautious as some items IMO felt like they were overpriced. On our recent visit, we saw this Cajun spot that was charging $25 for shrimp and grits. I don't recall ever paying that at a southern restaurant in Charleston! Even the bibim spot, as a Korean, I think charging $20 is a little over the top as this dish isn't meant to be fancy and more meant to be a comfort dish. My all time favorite is BRD sandwich. The taste, quality and price are equal. I haven eaten here several times and I have never been disappointed. I also tried the pizza spot Molina's and it was DELICIOUS!! We came with a fairly large group with kids. So we tried a bit of everything. Food was good. Pricey for finger food. It's more like food trucks style but in a building. Bathrooms are clean. I have been meaning to come here for so long! Came here on Labor Day. My friends and I parked in the free police parking lot which had so many spots and it was right across the street from R House. The food hall is beautiful inside and has an open garage door leading to lots of outdoor seating. Such a great spot for a group. It has a bit of everything - Mexican food, Korean bowls, pizza, burgers, Taharka's ice cream, smoothies, poke bowls. The food goes anywhere from $10-$20 for an entree, some more reasonable and others more expensive. Quesadilla and burger alone were each around $10. Hilo Poke - I got a poke bowl for $13 which was a good size and had a nice ratio of rice to ingredients (not too much rice). The salmon and ingredients were very fresh. My main complaint is that they missed at least 2 ingredients that I marked down, including pickled ginger and sriracha. Unlike other poke places, the toppings are not unlimited and some of the toppings cost extra that are normally free at other poke places. I also wished they had a sriracha Mayo option. The ordering was also confusing because it said you must order and pay by phone and the cashier told me to do that, but I saw people ordering with her and then when I approached her again, she accepted my order in-person. Taharka's - The portion was actually decent, $4 for a single scoop but it was really more like 2 scoops. I got the mango sorbet which was pretty refreshing (has a bit of dairy). Friends got the dairy-free chocolate love and the Mintflix and Chill (York Peppermint Patty) -- both were reportedly amazing, I wish I had gotten ice cream! Dropped by on a Sunday night for dinner and drinks (before Labor Day) . The place is decked up nicely, lots of seating (indoor and outdoor) and I really liked the aesthetic. However... the drinks from the bar were pretty terrible. We got three different types and all three were disappointing. Tried to get food, but everything closed by 9pm so missed out on that. R-House is located in a building with other food vendors. They have their own private parking lot, along with additional parking at the Police Precinct not too far by. They have an amazing selection of beer and cocktails available. I ordered the House Punch ($8), which had muddled mixed berries, vodka, rum and sour mix. This cocktail is on the sour end, but I enjoyed it. They also have Orange Crushes for $5, which considering the price for food around there, was a good deal. On this visit to our house, I visited the pop-up restaurant that they have in the right corner next to tahaka Brothers ice cream. The pop-up restaurant is currently a Thai restaurant which I will say was worth the money. The rice is cooked well flavored the spin on the pineapple rice it's normally you know what's inside of a pineapple with this time. It was just pineapple chunks within the rice with the chicken and shrimp. Not sure how long they are going to be there but if you get a chance go check it out. read more

What's not to love, multiple food options with a bar right smack in the middle of it all. During this visit it appeared 2 or 3 stalls were not opened, it could have been the day or time. But that didn't t impact my visit because my group came for drinks. We tried several items from the bar as well as the Dr.Pepper Bomb. My favorite was the Oatmeal Stout. The doors were wide open and despite Covid-19 spacing restrictions there was still plenty of space to spread out and feel safe. Of course the only thing that would make this place better is a larger adjacent parking lot attached to the building but have no fear because a short walk across the street there is Free and safe parking at the police department. read more

Something about eating in Baltimore City with open vendors is absolutely gross. The floors are filthy around each restaurant rear entrance leaving me with an impression rats are running crazy @ night (possibly during days). I ordered but requested refund. Couldn't stomach the idea of eating after visual inspection. Has the health department inspected these establishments recently?????? read more

With close family in walking distance to R. House and having small children I tow, we typically visit at least once each time I'm in town. Twice in two days. Food very good both times. First visit was pizza, 2nd visit was Korean. If I'm going out to eat I prefer a more traditional dining experience, but Food Halls are fine. I will probably never love them as a place to go for a family dinner. Would not have been my first choice this evening. Food was good and all left full and happy! read more

I went to R House after work with some colleagues and had a very enjoyable experience. R House is a food hall that sells alcohol. Their food choices include Mexican, Korean, Poke, Pizza, Vegan, and Cajun Soul Food. The bar has good beer and cocktail selections. You can find a little something for everyone. I saw some families with children, as well as a lot of students from John's Hopkins University being dropped off by a JHU shuttle. This place is probably packed when the weather is warm. R.house has been on my 'must-try: found on instagram' list for a while. We finally ventured up to check out their Rendezvous Drag Comedy Show; making a night of it! I was worried about Bmore parking, but we were able to get a free parking spot right out front! Once inside, the ambiance was a bit chaotic. The place was overly crowded, so navigating around the stalls was difficult. I was super worried someone would knock my tray of food over. Finding a seat became a contest between our group 'first one to get a spot gets a drink'. We tried various stalls: -BRD- this was what we came for. The meal lived up to the drool worthy photos. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and well-seasoned with sauce drenched all over. Overall, worth $9, but not something I'd crave and actively go eat again. -Hilo: The Sassy Sushi Burrito was delicious; with hearty pieces of fish-it provided a great combination of flavors. $14 for a burrito was basically comparable to a fancy roll. It wasn't great as a stand-alone meal, but as a side to the rest of our dining it was a good choice! -Bc.bim-We split a Honey Ginger Tofu bowl & Spicy Squid bowl-very disappointing. The bowls weren't worth $14- very minimal toppings, it was mostly rice. The seasonings/glazes were on the top of the bowl but didn't trickle down. The squid wasn't spicy. Skip this stall. I really enjoyed the drag show-there was a lot of variety (singing, lipsyncing, comedy, spoken word, and burlesque.) I'd go again to cheer on everyone, but as for the food, compared to other Markets in Bmore, I'd probably check this off my 'tried' list and opt for other places as a regular go-to. read more

When you're hungry but not sure exactly what you want to eat, come to R. House. Tons of options from breakfast to dinner to dessert, and from a variety of cuisines that cater to both vegans and omnivores, with reasonable prices and plenty of seating. The constant hustle and bustle is nice and it feels like a fancy food court. My personal favorite is Hilo Poké & Sushi - delicious custom poké bowls! I've also had my eye on the ice cream place that's next to it for a while - I haven't tried it yet but they seem to have really cool flavors and there's usually a long line. Also, it's slightly easier to find parking here compared to other places in Baltimore because there's a couple of parking lots and usually some street parking. read more

Okay, this one is tough. I really enjoy R. House because of the atmosphere and the liveness that is in the food stall hall. However, sometimes I feel like you can really luck up with good food and sometimes you can get just okay food. This is one of the times when I visited when the food was just okay. I learned it important lesson today that not all tacos are created equally. My children wanted tacos so we got them two chicken tacos and why I didn't think they were necessarily bad. I didn't think they were necessarily good and definitely not for children. I don't think that's the taco stalls fault but it would be nice if R. House had a food stall vendor that was really more family friendly. Again, no fault of the taco place but it just wasn't a taco that is for the pallet of a child. I had TioG's, specifically a cheeseburger. I was excited about the burger because I saw that the food stall was cooking on the circular evo style grill that I've seen on cooking shows. I ordered a cheeseburger and without asking what kind of cheese, cheese whiz was placed on my burger. I suppose I could've asked what type of cheese but I would have never thought that cheese whiz would be an option. I've never seen cheese whiz on a burger and hopefully never will again. It was not a good experience with this burger. Finally, my wife had an empanada and while it was okay I did taste it, It was just okay. Nothing that would make me want to return to R. House to specifically get an empanada again. My favorite ice cream vendor, Taharka Bros, also has a stand in R. House....but you guesses it. When I attempted to get ice cream the staff at the stall told me that they were on a 30 minute break. So overall our food experience wasn't that great at the R. House but the atmosphere was great. I'll definitely be back to R. House because it's such a creative community space. read more

I underestimated Baltimore yet again! As a DC Gal at heart, I never experienced a food hall with a central bar. The parking lot is small but there is additional parking on the street and at the parking garage up the street. If you park in the garage make sure you ask for parking validation either at the central bar or at the front desk. Outdoor patio seating is available and it's a cute corner spot with a bon fire for a group of people to sit. I saw a few people with their laptops so this could be a cool spot for all my remote and study friends. Service at the bar was super friendly and fast. You can either sit at the bar or order your drink and go back to wherever you were sitting. Cool concept if you ask me. My original plan was to eat at Creole Soul Restaurant but I had no idea what I was walking into , until I walk into it. All Americas favorite foods are available at different vendors. You have burgers, pizza, tacos, soul food, ice cream, and Korean bbq. There are a couple of vegetarian options for my healthy folks. However, there was a Jamaican pop up restaurant there as well and will be there until 12/31. The slogan was "Jamaican me crazy" when it should've been "Jamaican me questionable". The goat curry was not worth the $23 bucks. I had more bones than goat and I was not too "crazy" about that. A better review though, creole soul was manifico. That was the first time I had a whole lobster on top of my Mac n cheese. The pasta was creamy, savory, and just down right tasty, respectfully. The lobster was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I'm super confident the rest of the food is just as good so I can't wait to go back. R house is a recommended spot for a group of friends or a good place to go when you not sure what you are in the mood to eat. read more

If you're looking to do the same, this review is for you: - there is free wifi that worked really well, no password required - the only place they have outlets is the long table behind r. bar - the music level is the same throughout the day/evening, so keep that in mind - the r. house lot is still always full, so save the time and just park across the street in the police lot I was a little surprised by the lack of outlets, especially in the booths. ONE of my favorite dining halls in Baltimore! R HOUSE has it all! Great customer service, nice atmosphere and lots of food options to choose from. There really is something for everyone to enjoy. It is family friendly and also a great place to work for free that has water and wifi. I love the pop up shop option they have as it really is fun way to continuously try new places to eat. My favorite staples are the pizza restaurant, Taharka Brothers ice cream, BRD and currently a Nigerian food spot called Spice Kitchen ( photographed below). They do have a bar fully stocked with drinks and also a great outdoor space with fire pit! There is also lots of parking in the parking lots nice to the building, on the street or across the street as well. I visited R. House for a breakfast a few days ago. It's a good-sized food hall with lots of vendors: Amano Tacos, Be.bim (Korean), BRD (fried chicken), Creole Soul, Ground & Griddled (breakfast), Hilo (poke bowls and sushi), Molina (pizza), Noisy Burger, STEM (vegan), and Taharka Brothers Ice Cream. When we stopped by for breakfast on weekday, only Ground & Griddled was open. But it was great! We still made a loop through the food hall to check it out, and it's really nice inside with lots of seating! We sat at some of their outside seating, which was really nice! There's a lot of parking nearby (weirdly, the lot across the street is for R. House and the police department?). All in all, it's a really nice food hall, and I'll definitely be back to try some more of the vendors for lunch or dinner! read more

We came here on a Friday night and this place was PACKED- but for good reason! Starting with the vibes, this place was very lively and had a band playing and featured a central bar. The seating varied between tables, booths, and benches. It does get pretty crowded and loud on the weekends though, so best to come early if you are with a bigger group. Now onto the food: R house offers 10 vendors with a variety of foods ranging from Korean bbq to tacos to burgers! There is truly something for everyone. We ended up getting a pesto pizza from Molina and the chicken and pork tacos from Amano tacos. The pizza was amazing, with ripe tomatoes and a thin, crunchy crust! They have a wide variety of unique flavors, but we're sold out of the mushroom when we went, so I'll definitely have to come back to check that one out. The chicken tacos started off super strong with lots of flavor and a delicious sauce. The pork taco however, was disappointing. It was bland and flavorless, and the sauce just tasted like oil with no flavor. I would recommend skipping the pork tacos and opting for chicken or another kind! My family and I believe this is the best food hall in Baltimore we had ever visited so far. Large interior with plenty of spaced tables. Outdoor sitting is available. Very good varieties of food stalls with one space dedicated to a monthly rotation of pop ups. There was full bar for those times when liberation is called for. I saw nightly music entertainment by local bands advertised. On site security person roaming around. Bathrooms were relatively clean. **This review is for Creole Soul only** Came here to indulge in the Creole Soul's one week pop up restaurant at The Pop Up space here. Creole Soul had a decent menu of Creole inspired dishes with a southern influence. Shrimp and grits, oyster po'boy, mac and cheese, a kale and sweet potato soup, southern greens, northern beans and rice, gumbo, beignets, red velvet cornbread, banana pudding. We ordered the oyster po' boy with waffle fries, southern mac and cheese, kale and sweet potato soup and shrimp and grits. We went on the first day of the popup and there were some minor issues, but they worked it out. Disappointed that they ran out of the beignets and red velvet cornbread on the first day and it was around 3pm when we got there. The oyster po'boy was good with oysters fresh and fried on site, just wish they were bigger and more of them. The shrimp and grits were a nice size and fresh mixed in with the cheesy grits. The kale and sweet potato soup was tasty and a low key winner. The mac and cheese, as okay, but nothing spectacular. The R House is a restaurant venue featuring an assortment of eateries including a full bar housed under one roof. The parking lot is small and tight, but they have additional free parking available at the Baltimore City Police building that is catacorner from R House (follow the signs and, as an FYI, make sure you're not "riding dirty" and that your vehicle situation is in order...lol). All in all, the food at Creole Soul was okay, but I definitely want to come back to R House to indulge in some of the other vendor's offerings. read more

I've been here a couple of times- 1. Galentine's day brunch: perfect idea for a group of girls who don't know where they want to go for brunch. This is a cafeteria style place so anyone and everyone can get exactly what they're heart wants. They had bottomless mimosas, sangrias, and bloody's. I thought they would skimp on refilling our drinks, but the service was pretty spot on! 2. Happy hour: wow does it get crowded or what! It was very crowded and very difficult to find parking. I had to park a couple blocks away. We mainly came here to check out the pop-up restaurant from which I recall didn't have any vegetarian food. 3. Trivia night: the pizza was half off, but it wasn't even worth it. It wasn't well done like I prefer and just not flavorful. The chicken tacos that we got were great, the sauce really packs a punch; The pork tacos on the other hand were disappointingly bland. The overall vibe of R. House is pretty energetic. If there's live music happening its usually pretty various, although remains on the more chill side. I love this place!!!! My friend brought me here in the summer and we got to sit outside on the wrap around porch which was a treat! I love food halls and this one has A+ options. I've yet to try them all, but don't test me! My favorite spot is Hilo (see pics)-their poke bowls are really yummy and they have more choices than most other poke places I've tried so my bowls from Hilo are always unique. BRD is also a fan favorite, basically any kinda chicken you could think of!
