First time visit. Good was excellent. Service was phenomenal. Worth the visit if you're downtown.

This place is open. I am physically here now. The DJ is bumpin and the drinks are flowing. Cool concept inside and great vibes.

This is a precious bar recently opened in the alley just east of Rialto. It's contemporary, with a lovely red hue. While it is loud, it is not obnoxious. It, at times, can be quite romantic. And it is a strong draw for people who like to show all out in their bow ties and bodycon dresses. A group of us arrived celebrating the birthdays of two in our party. While it was somewhere around 11 p.m., we were able to get seated quickly. One boon to this bar is that there is a wonderful host, Richard, who floats about to ensure that your needs are met. What a wonderful touch! Another bonus: you can order from Gio Taco while at the bar. Management has an agreement set up but the restaurant. Good deal! Also, be attentive to the mural. It has a very stark message about gentrification.

R Bar, what a fantastic little spot in downtown. I started coming here shortly after moving to Tucson and I must say, it really has a Tucson feel. Quality drinks, good patio seating, and unique interior. I love the metal artwork they have on the back wall. It's a mural of everything Tucson. The dim lighting is really nice. I definitely think their mixed drinks are the best thing to get. My favorite is the rialtor (think Moscow mule but less sweet and more tart/acidic). I don't think I've ever had a bad drink here. R bar has become the bar I go to either when I'm beginning my night or ending it - never in between. It's a cool spot :] PS - I've never had the food. That'll be for my update one day!

This place is super cool, original and hip! EVERYTHING IS RED! Their beer selection is adequate, nothing too spectacular, but they won't break the bank and you can get your craft beer fill if you're not too picky. The upstairs area is my favorite to sit on the weird chairs and watch whatever movie they are playing on the big projector-wall (last time it was A Scanner Darkly). Tip: go to the bathroom, it's kinda trippy.

Festive place to sit outside and people watch. Right off Broadway in the middle of the action. A world away from the bigger clubs yet just a block down the street. Don't miss the crazy light show inside. We love the moscow mules!

Scotch sour by Garrett. Very tasty, made with egg whites instead of sour mix. Not too much tang (as w/ less well-made versions)

Awesome place to relax. Nice staff and awesome iron artwork depicting all of Tucson in a nutshell. Perfect little intimate hideaway!

I'm happy to have finally gotten a chance to visit Unicorn Zebra since it's been on my list from…read morethe time they opened. It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive

Drinks were available at the venue bar or the Tap Room adjoining. There was also a big water dispenser available. The staff were nice and seemed happy. I asked for a recommendation for a mocktail at the Tap room, and the bartender said water. My friend ordered a mocktail and she said he was right, she should have ordered water, the drink was not worth $10. It's always fun to go downtown for a concert, there's so much to see and do.

The one who served us was very nice and even made a drink recipe I came up with. Unfortunately, their bar is not well stocked so had to make a LOT of adjustments to my recipe. But appreciated his suggestions and effort. Now for the bad stuff. They have a jazz club attached. I figured the whole place would have that ambience but was disappointed that wasn't the case. Generic pop on the patio and inside is very noisy. The preferred dress of patrons appears to be gym shorts and t-shirts. Drinks were a little weak so I switched over to bourbon on the rocks. But the prices are reasonable. Maybe a nice pre show stop if you're going to the Century room.

Such a cool place! Probably just us but we had a little difficulty in finding The Owls Club but…read moreonce we did, it felt transformative to some degree. Old pews as "booth" seating and several rooms throughout the establishment. It's dark, it gives off old vibes but not in a creepy, musty way despite the place being a former mortuary. But the cocktails, oh the cocktails. These are the kind of cocktails I dream of. And the bartender completely looked like he belonged to a bygone era - cool cat vibes for sure. And he is an expert as mixology.

It feels intimate, almost cinematic. You're not walking into a bright sports bar; you're stepping into a moody, low-lit cocktail lounge built for conversation and slow evenings. The space has character: exposed wood beams, a long bar lined with bottles, soft pools of light over booths, and a relaxed, unhurried energy. It feels tucked away, which adds to the appeal. And while the lighting sets the mood, the drinks are what make it worth staying. Well-crafted, balanced, and clearly made by bartenders who take pride in their work. Strong without being sloppy. Creative without trying too hard. If you appreciate a dim, intimate setting and serious cocktails, The Owl Club delivers. It's the kind of place you settle into -- and don't rush out of.
