First time visit. Good was excellent. Service was phenomenal. Worth the visit if you're downtown.

This place is open. I am physically here now. The DJ is bumpin and the drinks are flowing. Cool concept inside and great vibes.

This is a precious bar recently opened in the alley just east of Rialto. It's contemporary, with a lovely red hue. While it is loud, it is not obnoxious. It, at times, can be quite romantic. And it is a strong draw for people who like to show all out in their bow ties and bodycon dresses. A group of us arrived celebrating the birthdays of two in our party. While it was somewhere around 11 p.m., we were able to get seated quickly. One boon to this bar is that there is a wonderful host, Richard, who floats about to ensure that your needs are met. What a wonderful touch! Another bonus: you can order from Gio Taco while at the bar. Management has an agreement set up but the restaurant. Good deal! Also, be attentive to the mural. It has a very stark message about gentrification.

R Bar, what a fantastic little spot in downtown. I started coming here shortly after moving to Tucson and I must say, it really has a Tucson feel. Quality drinks, good patio seating, and unique interior. I love the metal artwork they have on the back wall. It's a mural of everything Tucson. The dim lighting is really nice. I definitely think their mixed drinks are the best thing to get. My favorite is the rialtor (think Moscow mule but less sweet and more tart/acidic). I don't think I've ever had a bad drink here. R bar has become the bar I go to either when I'm beginning my night or ending it - never in between. It's a cool spot :] PS - I've never had the food. That'll be for my update one day!

This place is super cool, original and hip! EVERYTHING IS RED! Their beer selection is adequate, nothing too spectacular, but they won't break the bank and you can get your craft beer fill if you're not too picky. The upstairs area is my favorite to sit on the weird chairs and watch whatever movie they are playing on the big projector-wall (last time it was A Scanner Darkly). Tip: go to the bathroom, it's kinda trippy.

Festive place to sit outside and people watch. Right off Broadway in the middle of the action. A world away from the bigger clubs yet just a block down the street. Don't miss the crazy light show inside. We love the moscow mules!

Scotch sour by Garrett. Very tasty, made with egg whites instead of sour mix. Not too much tang (as w/ less well-made versions)

Cool vibe but the worst mixed drinks ever! We tried 5 different ones that were all terrible. Stick to beer and hang out.

I will say without hesitation that Juniper serves the best cocktails in Tucson. Maybe not even just…read moreTucson--this is the best of the best you can find through the entirety of Southern Arizona! These drinks are innovative, thoughtful, and aesthetically pleasing in a way that leaves you excited for more and expands one's idea of a well-made libation. Inspired by a medley of global flavors, Juniper started off as a side project from a local brewery and unexpectedly exploded into a swanky hangout with zero seats left open on weekend nights. Yes, virtually everything on the menu is gin-based. But that shouldn't scare you away! Gin is essentially a neutral spirit infused with botanicals and/or citrus, so if you had a bad experience with one brand, there will be another out there you'll fall in love with. Elliott, the General Manager of the bar, elevates the passionate curation of his menu to perfection. Here are some examples of what you might fall in love with: Balzy Maracuya: A 'maracuya' is a passion fruit beverage originating from South America. In this drink, fruity flavors are enhanced with popping boba filled with balsamic vinegar. Botanist: Upscale gin and tonic with thyme, rosemary, and star anise. Cronus Punch: Rum punch lovers will be blown away by the rare sighting of clarified gin On special ocassions, you'll find limited edition items like gin sorbet affogatos and horchata martinis. At the turn of each new year, there's a menu rotation that may sadly remove some of my faves. But here, at Juniper I can guarantee two things: Something uniquely enjoyable, and a gracious staff that will be happy to explain the intricacies of lesser-known spirits on the shelf. In 2026, I predict it will remain one of Tucson's hottest cocktail hangouts.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive

I was disappointed that I didn't hear more Christmas music, but I guess I should've went to the Charlie Brown Christmas show for that. The performers were extremely talented, and the host did a good job too. I got a hot chocolate, which was okay, as well as the mixed nuts, which were also okay. My large party also tried the popcorn, and it was a bit stale. I was saddened to see that there are no longer charcuterie boards on the menu, leaving only and truly "small bites" that don't really hit the spot. The chocolate covered pretzels were the only thing I ate, which I would order again. I really like the century room , I just hope they make revisions to the menu to really make it the whole experience!
