It's a cute place and the only LGBTQ bar in Fort Collins. The bartenders are friendly and the crowd seems to have fun.

Their all ages drag brunch is phenomenal. They make it so fun for the kids and performers. The food is good, priced nice, and they have accomodations for everyone. read more

I come from Utah which still has a very small gay bar scene but I've never seen a cover more than $5 there. Came here for 1 night on a Friday A $10 cover for a VERY small venue that maybe fits 40-50 people That's so excessive for a venue like this. The drinks are alright. Very "mixed" crowd. Being the only gay bar in town.. This place would be fun with no cover on maybe a $5 cover. Not worth $10 at all. R Bar and Lounge - a snow covered parking lot - Gay Bars Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

My wife and I went to the drag show last Friday, and it was a blast! I'm in Greeley, and the R Bar is the only LGBTQ bar near me, so we are thrilled that they host drag shows and events. The only complaint that I have is the volume of the music/microphone during the show. I know it's supposed to be loud, but I wasn't even by the speakers, and it almost sounded like the speakers were blown out. I do have some sensory issues, though, which more than likely contributed to me being overwhelmed. Regardless, the show was so fun, the staff was great, and the cocktails were very yummy! We will definitely be returning (with earplugs to help my sensory issues!)! read more

Yay gay bar in FTC! And with an awesome location close to campus to boot! I'm all about R Bar and Lounge and I hope to make it a point to visit every time I'm in Fort Fun. It's a simple bar with a large open space for dancing, drag shows, and fun! I like that there are also some high top tables, a long couch, and a nice little patio as well. Great space for great people. I found the bartenders to be very quick on their feet and with their wit. They serve up some really fun drinks that are heavy on the sauce and light on the wallet. There is also a nice selection of Colorado beers - a little something for everyone. Spots like this are much needed in Fort Collins. A college town should allow for a diversity of places so that people can begin to learn about who they are and where they belong in the world. I only wish this place were around when I was a student at CSU. There are so many beautiful offerings here so check the website for drag shows, karaoke, and good times. Don't be scared. This is the perfect place to experiment and try new things ;-) read more

You really need to reevaluate how you treat your customers. Saying that a customer is dancing too much with performers when they offer that? That is not okay. You made me feel unwanted at the only bar that I felt accepted at in Fort Collins. You made a fool of yourselves tonight and many people felt that vibe. So Fort Collins has a gay bar again. For the locals I'm sure this is very exciting. If I still lived in Fort Collins I might find it exciting or I might find it very infuriating. When I mean infuriating I mean because of the service. I was on a recent trip back to Fort Collins to visit family and friends and wanted to revisit my favorite restaurants and check new breweries that opened since our departure several years ago. I heard that Fort Collins got a new gay bar and wanted to go check it out. The atmosphere is fun, no doubt about that. The place is a bit small...I didn't see a dance floor or anything but there was some good music playing. But again the service was a real problem. It wasn't very busy at all. It was a week night and the bar stools were all full but nobody was at the tables. I went up to the bar and waited for about seven or eight minutes. I wasn't acknowledged at all by the bartender. No "I will be with you in just a few minutes". He was busy but not THAT busy. Again the only patrons were at the bar, nobody was sitting at the tables. I waited a few more minutes past the seven and left. As I walked out I heard someone say, "So sorry sir". It's experiences like this that do not make me regret leaving Fort Collins since this kind of thing is frequent in many establishments in town. read more

Despite a couple reviews about the service time, I decided to stroll on in last night 08/09/17. Immediately upon entering, the gentleman behind the bar smiled and approached me to take my order. Before walking in, I imagined a larger space and was somewhat surprised it stands between a couple of businesses. The sign did not stand out so it took me a couple looks before I recognized the bar's emblem over the door. Inside, the venue is capable of being a coffee shop with plenty of light that can flood in with the large windows and glass door that face the street. The walls are dress with a few art pieces, the bar, which stands directly to the left, glimmers with fiber glass lighting hidden beneath the marble colored bar top, short tables that appear fixed to the wall are found to the right, and in between is portable seating capable of being moved to create a dance floor. As a whole, the feel of the space seemed positive and many people inside held smiles throughout the night. I grabbed hold of the menu of drinks before me and asked the bartender to allow me a few minutes to examine my choices. When I was ready, one look at the bartender was all it took to summon him to take my order. The cucumber drink -- the exact name escapes me -- was SO delicious! I understood then why it is highlighted green on the menu (to alert people to give that exact drink a try). Looking around, quite a number of people looked my way and smiled. I spent my time speaking with the person seated beside me whom introduced me to others that joined us as the night progressed. Everyone was nice and friendly, including the people working that evening. A fresh drink kept coming right before my last sip was drained. There was not one moment that evening when I had to sit with an empty glass and wait for someone to replace my drink. Maybe it was a slow night despite the number of people that filled the space; maybe I was lucky to sit in the right spot to where the bartender could take notice of my glass; maybe those people who wrote a bad review accidentally reviewed this place in mistake for another; maybe the staff are now more focused on providing better service to their guests. Whatever the reason, I was happily and surprisingly satisfied. My experience in this bar was a positive one. I highly recommend this place to spend with good friends that make you happy to sustain the positive vibe in the air. Great job guys. read more

Negative reviews are 100% accurate. Only cool part was being able to pay the cover on your tab...of which I reconsidered once the bartender COMPLETELY ignored me for 10 full minutes, then smarted off once I waved him down. Also, cross-train your barbacks for better service...it's 2017. Totally rude and undeserving, and I hope the business fails. I miss STATIC. Drag queens were talented drinkers...performers not so much. Drag kings, however, killed it. read more

How disappointing. Went in to support an establishment that you'd expect to be all-welcoming and accepting. Sat at the bar late in the afternoon when there weren't many customers. The servers were more interested in their phones than taking our order. After about 10 awkward minutes, we left. The furniture is funky and creative. The small stage is intimate and I can imagine great times being had here. Not worth much when you feel uncomfortable. I hope it's only up from here. read more
