Mountain oysters -- huge letdown. They came out so overcooked they were basically crunchier than potato chips, with the batter crumbling off. I've never had them before, so I didn't get a good representation of how they're supposed to be -- these were just super-cooked batter. On the space: we ended up sitting in three different spots to eat. We went outside by the street first -- super loud, and people were smoking, so we headed back in. The open spot inside was right under the AC and about forty degrees, so we moved to the back area. The back was fine -- covered -- but pretty dirty, with mop buckets and clutter sitting around. The one drink I had was a good value since we were there at happy hour -- some kind of fruity whiskey drink. It was fine, but nothing I'd seek out again. I hate to give such a friendly place a bad review. It'd be a really great spot if you're a college student who wants some cheap bites and a drink -- but honestly it's just bar food, and the ceiling is probably a 4 on a really good day. I wouldn't get excited to head down there, and parking is a bit of a hassle too. Would recommend only if you're after very cheap eats in that area -- check them out for happy hour. The room I was in, where the ordering counter is, had this sort of jungle theme going on, with a mural and decorative furniture. If there was anything negative, I would say security personnel can be on a power trip from time to time. Sometimes watching them drag people out (especially when it's not super clear to my why) makes me feel more threatened than they make me feel safe.
