I come here all the time, at least 1-2 times a week to play some pool. I love the vibes here (hence why I go so much). It's a huge hall with lots of tables (that aren't too crammed together), there's always some good music on the speakers and sports games on the TVs, and the staff always makes sure to take care of me. The staff are all very kind, especially if you're kind to them (I'm a regular though so they love me). They take vertical IDs, however they don't take the Colorado app which has been an issue for some friends of mine. I love the option of having quarter tables as well as the larger tables for $5 per person per hour option. Plus, if you don't use the larger tables for the full hour they won't charge ya for it! Love that they have drink specials every day (very helpful as a college student) but also just some decently priced drinks overall. The food is also pretty tasty, but I've only eaten here twice. The only reason for 4 stars instead of $5 is because of the cash only option after 6 pm and if you're going to use your card before then, it's a $40 minimum!! They do have an ATM on site but still, it's a bit absurd to have that high of a minimum. Additionally, not taking the Colorado app is not something I've heard of at any other place. read more

Went in with a group of friends & the bartender was incredibly rude when one of them tried to use his ID that's on his phone. It's the official Colorado drivers license & identical to the physical one. This person became hostile & refused to even explain why it wasn't acceptable. I really enjoyed going to this pool hall, given it was the first one I've ever been to. The bartenders were really nice and the drinks were cheap but strong. They have a plethora of pool tables to choose from, and I liked the option of paying by the hour or using quarters. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a cool hangout spot. read more

Went in with a group last night, $20 minimum to use card, friend comes in & is about to pay for drinks then asks to add one more "Mel" says you have to either spend another $20 on card or get cash. Mind you , he hasn't even finished checking out so he asks very calmly "why can't you just add it onto this tab?" Mel says "either pay with cash or get tf out" then sends someone over to kick him out, again still not sure what the issue is? He was the only non white person with us in our group & the only one she gave a lot of attitude to. So then someone goes to talk to her to see what the problem is & she can't even tell her what the issue is, just that she won't serve our group & we have to leave after our beer. Then maybe 10 minutes go by, still finishing our beer, another lady with black hair comes up to us & says we have to go but again, has no explanation as to why we were getting kicked out. It was very UNPROFESSIONAL, "Mel" if that's even her name, short blonde hair girl, was very RUDE, RACIST, & should NOT be in customer service. I agree with the reviews here that if you are gonna be rude why are you working in the service industry?? Such an unpleasant experience, I will never ever be going back to this place. A bartender took away my friend's ID, put it somewhere in the bar, and then left for home. The new shifts wouldn't look for it for my friend, saying that that was not their job and being sarcastic as if my friend couldn't even hold on to his own id after one beer. My friend will have to go back on Friday to search for his id when that girl will be back to work. Would give ZERO if I can! read more

Place itself has a good vibe and is great for playing pool and just hanging out. Reason for only two stars is due to the fact that the bartender was absolutely awful. She didn't even know how to make a Cosmo. I understand you're a pool hall not a fancy schmancy bar but come on...It's really not that hard, vodka, triple sec, lime juice and cranberry. Told us she didn't have the stuff to make it? Umm yeah, ok but you have 6 billion flavored rums? My friend got a lemon drop martini which was so terrible she couldn't even finish it. Watch your bill carefully as items that you didn't order may show up on it and the bartender and owner will not admit that a "mistake" may have occurred and they won't take the time to pull receipts to let you backup your position. Been going there for several years and have spent a lot of money. I don't appreciate the way we were treated or the way this issue was handled by them. We're supposed to just "agree to disagree". I refuse to spend money there. The owner doesn't allow music on the jukebox unless he picks it. They have food specials, but they short the portions. Overall I'd say they nickel and dime you, but it's more in dollars. read more

I don't usually get upset about places however, Match Ups could be one of the worst places I have ever been too. I go in there around 12:30 and they say they won't serve us because my friend has a Irish slur.... what does that mean? My friends and I go in there to shoot some pool, and the bartender who just wants to close down the bar tells my friend she won't serve her because of her accent. I'm sorry miss but my friend is from Ireland and she has an Irish slur regardless if she has anything to drink. For the bartender to say someone who has a different accent means she can't get served just amazes me. Could be one of the worst service experiences I've ever witnessed read more

I'll be honest. I want to love this place, but I am conflicted. They have good food (for bar food), the fajitas are awesome, Huge Nacho plates, free taco days, drink specials, ect... But I have experienced some customer service issues that I don't feel are very respectful. First of all, the "regulars" aka serious pool players seem to have high reign on the place, I get that, it's where most of their revenue comes from... I was there with a group of friends having a good time and we were pretty much the only "not so serious" pool players there. The tables were full and suddenly one of the employees comes up and tells us that if a regular wants our table we will need to vacate. I was like "oh, is it a league night" No, "is the table reserved" No. I didn't ask any more questions and just told her to let us know when we need to vacate the table, but honestly, I was put off by this kind of treatment. Later when one of the people in our group used the restroom the waitress came up and lectured us on the exact rout we need to take when walking to the restroom "for our own safety, so we don't make the regulars mad". As she is talking I look up and there are people walking everywhere, in fact the rout we were told not to take was the rout directly to the bar and had heavy foot traffic on it.. Why on earth would we be singled out? Why can everyone walk this rout but us? Had a good time here, many pool tables both hourly and coin operated. There was a league night going on but there were still plenty of tables for others to play on. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Bri behind the bar and the waitress that I never got her name where on top of things and we never waited long for a drink.
