Dropped into The Crown Pub on a Friday night after a concert nearby and ended up staying longer than planned. It was busy but still felt comfortable, not chaotic. We grabbed a table pretty quickly and the server checked in often enough without hovering. I ordered a burger and a couple drinks while my friend got fish and chips. Food came out hot and the timing between drinks and meals was handled well. One thing I noticed was how calm the staff stayed even when the place filled up. Nobody seemed irritated or rushed. It felt more like a neighborhood pub than a tourist spot, which I liked. read more

Our last night all together and our grandson picked this place for his birthday dinner. We had plenty of privacy downstairs. Absolutely superb service. The kids loved the fries. I think we ended up getting 3 baskets! It is a little dark down there, but not spooky dark. Would come back again. Probably some of the best fish and chips I have had in the US. read more

Popped in for a quick drinks and apps. It was seat yourself and the service was quick. We had a couple of apps and one cocktail each. I got the Espresso but it was not made with real espresso which was a bummer. The frittes were so yummy and the steak appetizer was good as well. Perfect English pub. The staff are so on top of service and friendly attitude. You have to have dragons milk with a Guinness stew. Their portions are large and prices are really great for a night out. Thanks for a great time. read more

They need to figure it out. Used to go there frequently and it was great. Went in the Fall and it was horrible. We ordered drinks and dinner. Drinks came right away. Food came in stages for the table. So much so, some never got their food after waiting over an hour and another friend wound up taking her burger to go because those who got food were done by the time her burger showed up. Went again last night, chalking the previous experience up to a large party and "off" night for the Crown. Nope. Got a table, which took 15 minutes to clean from the previous party, ordered drinks, app and dinner. Drinks and app came within 10-15 minutes. Yay! We thought! Wrong!! We waited an hour and 20 minutes (after checking with the server several times) and still no food. We wound up getting up to pay for what we had, but even the server was like "you don't owe a thing." Literally, even she couldn't sugar coat the lousy experience. Wasn't her fault at all, and we felt bad she was dealing with the kitchen. Because of them, she lost a shit ton of money from our large tab (had it arrived) and the inability to flip the table for another party within a reasonable time. So, needless to say, we will never be going there again. We are also extremely tied into Fort Collins social community. We will have no problem at all sharing this poor night out. Again. read more

The Crown Pub in Old Town is an English-style brewpub. The moment you step inside, it feels like you've been transported straight to a traditional pub in England. The warm, inviting atmosphere captures the essence of old-world charm with a modern twist, and you can't help but feel at home the minute you walk through the door. The food here is always delicious with a creative spin on classic pub fare. The fish and chips were delicious. While I haven't tried any of their beers or cocktails yet, the beverage menu definitely caught my eye--it has a unique global take on cocktails, which adds another layer of excitement to the experience. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and you can tell they genuinely care about making your visit enjoyable. The service is top-notch, and it's clear that they take pride in their work. If you're in the area, make sure The Crown Pub is on your list of places to visit. Whether you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy a meal or simply to relax with a drink, you won't be disappointed. It's a place that's as memorable as it is charming. read more

The Crown Pub - The Fish and chips - of course - Pubs Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

Okay first of all, Holly is the best waitress in all Fort Collins! (I don't say that lightly)! She holds the fort down at crown pub! She manages at least 30 tables by herself and provides incredible service! The food is great, but the service, specially Holly, is what you come in for! Drinks are always good too!! Great spot! read more

All seasons kind of place. The whole town can shut down with cross country skiing going on in the streets, and this will be the one single restaurant OPEN . Totally Fort Collins! read more

The Crown Pub - I switched the steak fries for these thinner ones. Yummy stuff. Reliable service. Cozy go too! - Pubs Near Me - Fort Collins, Colorado

Pretty typical pub fare but we enjoyed the food! We ordered a turkey reuben, a regular reuben, mussels, and the pommes frites (thin fries). Both sandwiches were good, but be warned: the spicy mustard is VERY heavy on the horseradish and has a kick. The mussels are on the appetizer menu but were large enough to eat as an entree. The broth was very flavorful and had a good amount of garlic and lemon. We also loved the fries. They were thin but perfectly crispy and didn't get soggy even after sitting for a while. Try the truffle aioli or the basil aioli. The service was fairly quick for how busy the place was. read more

Been here several times over the years. We enjoy the pub atmosphere. It's cozy and and great place to have a beer or cocktail . Perfect Guinness and feels just right to sip on an old fashion with house made cherries . We had the shrimp Picatta and the steak over mashed potatoes. Both were very good. The steak was cooked just as we asked and was very filling. There are several good choices on the menu. Sandwiches, salads, steak, chicken, fries, and a great appetizer selection. We always enjoy our visits here. read more

Extremely terrible service, staff is incredibly rude. Manager made me feel very uncomfortable and threatened, accused me of not paying my bill (while also saying I couldn't stay because I "hadn't ordered anything") and kicked me out. Will never come back and will warn everyone to not try this place. read more

We walked past this place a few times and thought how cool is that front door. But it wasn't until we asked our server at another restaurant where she liked to eat. She said that this was the place. So we had to try it. The pub steak is where it's at. It doesn't look amazing in the pic but it's because of all of the amazing sauce on it. It was melt in your mouth. The combination of the Gorgonzola cheese and the balsamic reduction was perfect. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The fries were delicious too. We got the appetizer so we would have more fries and get to try the sauces. Delicious. The cinnamon sugar crème brûlée was amazing. I am normally a plain or with fruity crème brûlée person but this was delicious!! The atmosphere is pretty cool and chill. I will say, if you sit at a side table under those green lights it's SO HOT. We moved to the window and it was great. read more

I love this hole in the wall pub that has the best service in town...the best pours in town...and the nicest clientele! The menu is not huge but they do it all well! King Curry, Chicken Rellenos, Bacon Avacado Royale...hellllooooo! Some eating there! While there, be sure to say hi to Holly, Ashley, Maria and Caroline...tell them I sent you! Oh don't worry, they have no staff turnover....they love to work there and we love having them there for us! Definite must-stop while in Fort Collins!! read more

I used to come here a lot more often but then it seemed that service got slow and is still slow. It took a while to get our check and to have someone come to wait on us, when we saw people chatting up at the bar that worked here. no one is urgent or in a hurry. Too laid back for me. Everytime we come up to Ft Collins, we just have to stop in to the Crown Pub. They have the nicest people working there ever, a super chill ambiance and great food/drinks. We always order the pomme frites (french fries), and it comes with choices of dipping sauces for them (and ketchup if you prefer). We usually get the Garlic Aoli and Basil sauces. And then devour the whole humongous plate. I've also had the calamari here, and it is very good. This past weekend we tried some of their salads (a house salad and a chicken caesar) and they did not disappoint either. read more

Great pub and amazing food! I can't speak much on any other food than the Guinness stew as it's all I ever order when I go! It is so good! After living in Fort Collins for five and a half years, I finally got around to trying the Crown Pub. Better late than never! It's in a great location right in Old Town and the servers are all very friendly. Overall, I'd say the Crown Pub is a nice enough place to grab some drinks and good (but not great) food. We ordered the mussels as a starter. For my main, I got the half order of the fish and chips. My husband got the steak frittes dish. We ended our meal with some bread pudding for dessert. Everything we ordered was just fine. I'm glad I finally crossed Crown Pub off my FC dining list, however, I can't say I'll be rushing back. read more

Good atmosphere, friendly staff and a great choice of drinks! This location on college likely has one of the best varieties of liquor and wine. Another bonus is that this bar in college actually has clean and well maintained bathrooms which are typically destroyed by college kids. It's on the pricier side compared to other places in the area but you're paying for the service and atmosphere. It's worth a stop if you have some extra time read more

Good atmosphere. Nice food. A little expensive. Good selection of beer and full bar. Nice wait staff.

Stopped in this afternoon around 2:30 and no service bartender was busy with two of his favorite customers and the waiter was standing over there talking on his phone what a disappointment probably won't come back for a while managers should be aware of this read more

Writing this review because if I were the owner of this restaurant I would want to know what a negative experience a long-time customer had. Suffice to say I am very sad to have to change my review for this place! This has always been one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Collins, so we were excited to book a table for 14 for a rehearsal dinner for our family member. I knew this wasn't normal for them because they don't do reservations so I was open to renting out the back room, or showing up early to get on the wait list. I was also willing to just pay a lot of money to reserve the tables. I figured that since we have been coming here for years and years and wanting to spend this special family event at this restaurant someone would want to help make this happen (and we are super flexible about how it would work out or what time we could have eaten). First problem: I called 3 different times to explain the situation and someone "promised me" a manager would call back. I waited a week after each time and no one ever called me back. The fourth time I called I managed to get ahold of the manager. Then comes the even-more-unfortunate part of this experience. The "General Manager" was disrespectful, rude, mocking, and ended up hanging up on me. He reiterated that they "don't do that" to reserve tables. I suggested that I could come in at 5pm and be first on the list, or that we could pay them for the cost of reserving the table, etc. He had absolutely NO desire to work with me and from the beginning was nothing short of unprofessional. Also, when he thought he hung up on me he didn't actually hang up, so I was still on the line listening to him as he replayed his version of our conversation (not truthful) to whoever the woman was who was working with him. I listened as he made fun of me, lied about what I was asking about and how I responded, and made himself out to be some kind of macho-rule-enforcing-savior to a woman making "ridiculous" requests. I eventually hung up disheartened about humanity in general and really disappointed in this establishment and whomever the owner has made the GM. The food is good, usually the service is good, but this was a truly terrible experience and now our whole family will likely never come back. What a disappointment. read more

A little slice of adventure in Old Town! The decor is exactly what you'd expect for a British pub and the atmosphere varies from casual and calm to very lively depending on the seating area. There were some quiet groups scattered around and some rowdy groups watching sports. The dark wood, vintage beer signs, and framed historical people really add to the experience of stepping off College Ave. and into the UK. The bar is long and accomodates quite a few people, but the liquor wall behind the barman has all the vibes. It's got a glass background and ornate wooden details and holds all the liquor! The food was delicious and the drinks were well done. I ordered the meatballs appetizer and a side of fries. The meatballs were wonderfully seasoned and a healthy, tasty balance of lamb and beef. The fries were perfectly crispy and offered with a variety of tasty sauces - I always go for the basil aioli and garlic aioli. The hubbs ordered the classic fish'n'chips and was not disappointed. Lightly breaded and perfectly crisped with some tartar sauce and lemon - my mouth is watering as I reminisce on the bite I stole. It was a great experience for both of us, very private even sitting amongst others. Next time we want to go for a game day and party in the basement area - I think there's billiards tables down there? read more

Great food and drinks. Nice Irish Pub feel. Sat at the bar and our server was wonderful. Fish and chips

For being an English pub, I'm surprised to say this is one of the better steaks I've had in town. It's conveniently located right near campus in the heart of downtown Fort Collins. It has a seat yourself concept but I can see how hectic that can get on a busy night. We came for a late lunch so it was pretty calm. During the summer both the front and back patios are open for seating. Or head downstairs for a live jazz band on Sundays. They have an extensive beer and liquor list with $3.50 Guinness on draft which is hard to beat. We came in for lunch and had the pub steak topped with gorgonzola cheese which is everything I didn't know I needed and more. Make sure you order their pomme frites on the side, they are super thin but crunchy in texture and perfect for soaking up the gorgonzola with. Great location. Friendly-ish staff. Yummy food with an even better atmosphere. read more

I came here while in town visiting. Got the fish & chips! There is a full and half order. The half order is about 2 or 3 fish and they weren't that big. I got the full order and could barely eat all the fries. I guess my 'complaint' would be less fries! Overall the ambiance is nice. read more

Its the classic British Pub in Fort Collins. They've got the pints, they've got the Fish and Chips and they've got an excellent steak. The fries are brilliant - ask for the Basil Aioli, Curry and the Truffle Aioli. Well worth it. The steak was quite amazing. The sauce was quite extravagant. They have outdoor seating up front and a patio in the rear, which was quieter. My friend was vegetarian, and they made him a vegetarian version of the Turkey BLT, which was really nice of them and something that he loved. The service was exceptional and I'll be back for more. read more

Mother's Day was our latest venture at Crown Pub and regardless of when we come or what is going on, we always have a solid experience here. The food is very good, especially when they do seasonal menus, and you can't go wrong with Guinness on tap. This go-round, I ordered the tofu bahn mi with a side salad and my husband ordered the lobster roll with skinny fries (an oxymoron at best!). I love, love that Crown Pub always has a well thought out vegetarian dish. I often order vegetarian not because I am one, but working with vegetables and making them taste great is far harder than a slab of beef in my humble opinion. The bahn mi had a great smoky flavor with the tofu, tanginess with the kim chi and overall fresh bright notes. The hubs liked his lobster roll but commented that there was a tad too much Old Bay seasoning that slightly masked his beloved lobster. I tried a bite and thought it was super tasty. And of course the fries. I prefer the pub chips but the skinny fries are just as good. Crown Pub is always a go to place for us when we are in downtown Fort Collins. read more
