This place was good, we stopped in this weekend for some eats and drinks. Service was great, good vibes and atmosphere. The drinks were good, can't remember what it was called but super tasty! I did the chicken fingers and ate one, just didn't like the breading at all and it was way too crispy so that was disappointing. Maybe I'll give it another try when up in the area again. read more

Came for the happy hour. Our waitress was very attentive but not intrusive. She ran the entire patio with what looked like ease. Sure beats the beats the first time we came when another waitress ignored us several times, walking by our table and never asking us what we wanted to drink even. The food. Wings are TINY. Not just small. The fries were cold and VERY overly salted. The chicken tenders were fine. Nothing to write home about. We both enjoyed the fried mushrooms and the cheese curds. Both the spicy and the regular ranch are watered down versions. We sat on the patio and while it's nice to sit outside it is directly next to parking. Motorcycles and cars coming and going while you eat. All in all it a bad experience but not a great one either. Meh. It's a big maybe for a return visit. read more

We were visiting from out of town and decided to give Tap and Handle a try after it was recommended to us by a local, and we're so glad we did! It happened to be a Wednesday, which worked out perfectly since they run their Double Smash Burger special all day for only $7.50. The place was lively with lots of people enjoying the patio on a beautiful day, but we chose to sit inside where the atmosphere was just as inviting. Our waitress struck the perfect balance--friendly and attentive without hovering, which we really appreciated. The drink menu had an impressive variety of beers on tap, and their food menu offered something for everyone. My husband ordered the Double Smash Burger with fries and absolutely loved it. I stuck with chicken tenders and their macaroni salad, which turned out to be a great choice as well. The vibe was chill, with plenty of TVs showing different sports and news, making it a fun yet relaxed place to hang out. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were excellent, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. read more

Disrespectful and rude staff. Bartender with red beard Went in for a pint with my buddy who is from out of state for my birthday. Placed my order with a bartender that had a red beard (didn't catch his name) for "a recommended ipa (dealers choice)" he responded " so let me get this right you don't want to read a menu you want me to do the work for you" I responded politely. He then declined to serve us when he saw my friend's 6 year old son got too close to the bar. I then politely placed another drink order but was declined when he found out that we were intending on sitting outside. So I got my beer, my buddy and my girlfriend did not. We then proceeded to wait outside for our server for 20 minutes. I have a history working in the restaurant industry, and would never have treated my patrons this way. Do better. read more

Normally, I'd give a 5 star review to Tap any day. As a native of FoCo, I've been coming to Tap, and other downtown businesses, for years. The staff here are always incredibly friendly, they help recommend drinks/food, and represent Tap and FoCo well. They have that welcoming, hometown, community attitude. However.... Went this weekend with a few friends after the parade. For the most part- had a great time/great service- especially from Nadia trying to do her best serving the masses, and the bartenders attempting to keep up & maintain a smile. BUT there was a bartender with a red beard who yelled at me for bringing up our empty drinking glasses and setting them on the bar for them. Many people in the bar heard him. I was incredibly embarrassed for trying to help and having this happen in return. At the top of his lungs he angrily yelled, "Don't ever set glasses there again (on the bar top)." The other bartender apologized profusely, but I can honestly say I don't think I've ever had that happen, to this degree, from someone in such a prevalent customer service role. Certainly not so when trying to help by picking up after ourselves. I probably won't go back if I know he's working. He should be ashamed of himself - and Tap for keeping him on staff - alongside the amazing people you typically employ. Steer clear of this guy if you want to enjoy yourselves! read more

First time here. We found a place to sit right away. Impressive tap list! They had Horse & Dragon Sad Panda so of course I had to have my coffee beer. Yum!! My husband loves sours and snagged a Beechwood Funk Yeah Balaton Cherry. Tart as all get out. Our service was swift and with humor. This will require another visit to try the food. read more

Quick lunch here meeting up with friends. It wasn't as busy on a college football Saturday as I expected it might be, and we found quickly found a table for five. Cell service wasn't great until after I got the Wi-Fi password, which helped. The beer list is extensive, and the WeldWerks summer s'mores stout is one of my favorites. We all got burgers and chicken sandwiches, and all were enjoyed. My mushroom Swiss burger was delicious and had great flavor. Fries were pretty close to perfect in my book. I had a terrible experience at Tap and Handle. My buddy and I finished lunch nearby then came in for a beer (a Monday, around 12:20pm) and to do computer work. The bar tender was a wild dick. I've been to Tap and Handle probably 5+ times; each time good to great service, beer selection and food. Today, I came intending to have a couple beers. Tap and Handle had two tables outside, and one person inside. Not knowing protocol when no servers (just bar tender), I walked up to the bar to order a beer. Upon walking up the bartender said, "I was just waiting for you to sit down." Then when I went to provide a card he was a dick about me opening a tab, saying to just go to the table. 100% understand that people not doing the right thing is frustrating, but also, offering to have them sit and you can come take an order is pretty standard in the service industry. Next, my buddy came in and wasn't interested in a beer due to being a non drinker. When asked, and politely replying that they were not interested the bartender said "that's called loitering, you can go to a library" If y'all were busy I'd say rejecting any business sure, however we were literally the only people in there... After my buddy left due to not wanting to piss this guy off more I heard him shit talking my buddy to the one other patron in the bar. The bartender later came over to me attempting to make an excuse twice. He comp'd my beer "for the misunderstanding" I informed the bartender that my buddy was a non drinker, and the bartender said "I didn't know that." That's the point, you assumed, you overreacted and were rude. I'll be skipping Tap and Handle when this guy is on bar/serving. Good luck to this guy. Bless his heart. read more

Great bar!! Has an adorable downstairs area with couches for winter months and a great patio for summer seating. Serving style is very free flow, sit down anywhere and someone will find you. I got the peach Palmer and asked for a cup of lemonade to make it a little less strong, 1/4 cup of lemonade make it taste like juice! You can't expect your bartender to run the entire place, and if I'm waiting 50 minutes for fries then I'd at least expect them to not be cold when they come to the table. Other customers came in and ordered and were served well after us. We were ignored and although we waited patiently, were never served despite us bringing our issue up with one of the wait staff. Tap & Handle is one of two go-to spots for me in FoCo for a fantastic, lengthly selection of craft brews. Yesterday, we stopped in for some pre-fireworks libations. Since it was still pretty hot and the patio didn't have much shade, we opted for indoor seating. I sampled two awesome choices from the "rich & roasty" section of the tap menu. Last I sampled a Blueberry cider that had been voted, "the best cider in the WORLD". It was damn good. My husband had a burger to go with his brews. It was well prepped and tasty. Decent fries to go with. Our server was great - on top of things & checked in with us often. Tap & Handle is definitely a place to check out, relax and sample some of what the craft brew world has to offer. read more

Was up for a work meeting and had made a reservation for a relatively large party...or thought I had. Turns out it hadn't been recorded on their end. So how/why five stars given that? Well, that happens sometimes, and how people react says a lot. Upon my check in our waitress and discoverer of the non-reserved reservation, Destiny, hustled and gave me two options to seat our group. Then she waited on us attentively and gave members great beer advice and remembered many of our group's names while being charming while obviously super busy. Then no complaints as we had to have multiple checks for the party. Checked in on us often and just generally kicked butt. Super impressed. Food was honesty pretty good for bar/pub grub, location is fantastic, patio was the perfect setting on a nice late summer day, but service was epic. Highly recommend this place. read more

Great time as we are up from ATX to see our daughter at CSU and looking for great beer and bar food. Team there short staffed like everyone but did there best and barely any waits. Bartended super knowledgeable, eclectic choices on beers, ciders etc. Lots of sampling to make sure we got what we wanted. Mid game, got some fried pickles, big slices and HOT out of the fryer. What a fun place! Tap and Handle has tons of beer to choose from and a really great patio for safe COVID gatherings, including fire places & heaters for the cooling weather. Also since they have such a great patio we were able to bring our puppy and he had a great time meeting people as well :) The food here is awesome - my first time trying fried pickles anywhere, and they did not disappoint. The Tasty Bites are soo good - kinda like chicken tenders and boneless wings combined - great spice level that goes awesome with the blue cheese. I would definitely come back and spend another hour or two enjoying the good vibes, good beer and good food. If you like light beer, both the Pilsners they have on tap are awesome!! read more

We sat almost 15 minutes without service... and when a server finally came (Britney) she ignored us and was actually rude to my wife for asking to be helped. After that, Josh was amazing, the beer was great (GABF taps) and food was pretty good. I hope they find more people like Josh and less people with that ugliness we were shown by Britney. Tap and handle has been my favorite bar in town for years now. The ambiance beats any place in town reminding me of a nice European pub and beer garden. Their beer selection is the best in town and the food is also great. But... as of late their service has been really poor. The last 4 or five times I've been in the service was really slow and we even had to track down the waitress a few times. Last time we went with a large group of my friends which should have tipped off the waitress that we were a split bill. Instead she brought one check for 9 of us. Did she really think someone was buying for all of us? Anyway honestly only posting this because I hope they can pull the service quality back up. Had a great Sunday afternoon here. Super chill vibes, lots of shaded patio space, great service without much waiting even with a limited staff. They had a musician late in the afternoon but we didn't see much of his set. I always expect to get some side-eye ordering ciders, but the waiter/ bartender was super enthusiastic about my choices and he was right - the blueberry spaceship is NOT to be missed. Of 6 pours at the table there were no complaints. Food was great too. Needed extra napkins for the juice on my burger, but didn't leave feeling overly weighed down and greasy. I ate here for the first time tonight. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The food was good, the best thing about it was the salad and the salad dressings, which are homemade in-house and they are absolutely fabulous. My wife had to Ceaser salad and the dressing was the best she's ever had. I had the blue cheese and it was so different from anything else I've ever had it was extremely delicious. Apparently it is a secret because the chef won't tell us what's in. It looks like I'll have to come back here to eat some more another time. read more
