Trouble shot the issue pretty quickly and had a few options for me on how to resolve. Since the heater was over 10 years old I decided to just replace it. They had a brand new water heater installed and working great the very next day. It is rare nowadays to find companies/people who are honest and trustworthy unfortunately. But Best Plumbing made me feel comfortable and explained thoroughly all my options so I never felt like they were just trying to scam me. I had a water heater installed by them 04/2021. I am now having problems with the pilot light not staying lit. It is a Rheem which has gotten really bad reviews. Rheem will not honor the warranty. My problem with Medina Plumbing is right on the owners manual it states that that water heater should not be installed in mobile homes which is what I have. Dana responded through Manny "that is the water heater they gave me". Who? What store? I got no response back from them. Because of this I may be put into a predicament with my insurance and building code. As far as the pilot replacement part Manny quoted me this outrageous price on the part which I can get so much cheaper. When I brought up these questions to Medina Plumbing I am not getting any response back. I will never use them again. They are not trustworthy!

Maybe it was just "One of those jobs". But in any case, I'm not sure I would call them up as the first choice next time. 1) They misdiagnosed a simple pin hole leak from a copper pipe inside a wall but instead insisted it was an expensive slab leak from our foundation. 2) They spent about an hour or so cutting a huge unnecessary hole in our commercial kitchen wall in the wrong place and couldn't find a leak or any dampness. 3) They left and said they couldn't find or stop the leak. 4) Frustrated, we ended up finding the pin hole leak ourselves and temporarily stopped it in about 15 minutes flat for about $15. 5) We actually had to show them where to cut the hole (in the damp wall) in the correct place when they returned. So now there were two holes on both sides of the wall to patch up. 6) They refused to provide an itemized invoice until we demanded it. 7) They don't respond to emails or messages once the job is "done" and they just want the payment without any questions or follow-up. 9) They did finally ending up getting the job done & provided an itemized invoice. 10) In our opinion, their itemized invoice showed that they grossly overcharged us for parts. 11) As much as we love to support small businesses, this job was overall very frustrating when we felt it could have been much simpler.

This week our water heater stopped working. I called Eric and over the phone he diagnosed the problem and quoted me what it was going to cost to repair. I called on a busy Monday midday and he came to our house at 7pm that night to do the job so that we could have hot water again to take showers, etc instead of waiting one more day. He was willing to come by late after he finished up for somebody else because he remembered us from our previous really bad luck plumbing problems.... Back in November 2013, our house built in 2005 had a water leak due to a rat chewing into a plastic water line. Eric found out what the source was and warned us it was likely to happen again. We had 6 different water leaks in a 6 week timeframe until we could finally kill the rat and seal off the attic space! Eric came out right away every time we had a new leak. He even helped us on Dec 23rd so that we could turn the water main back on in time to host a Christmas party. This guy Eric is a genuine professional who explains everything, charges a fair price, respects customer loyalty, and does a great job!! We highly recommend Hovey Rooter!

I anticipated any plumber who would come out on Independence Day would be worth his with in gold. Unfortunately I don't have any gold. The 5th was Sunday so I did what I could, Home Depot style, and had no success. Sunday night I decided to find the bill of my last plumber and leave a voice mail for Monday morning. Found the bill, it contained specific notes about my pipe configuration. To my surprise a real human answered the phone! Great first re-connection. I conveyed my issue and answering service would relay the message. I received an actual call back (VM) later Sunday offering a spot for Monday morning. They showed up on time, I explained my issue and they went about making repairs. Neither of the previous repair men were still at this shop. They kept me informed ran their equipment and rechecked all the toilets and faucets when they were done. They hosed down the area where the clean out occurred and were fairly timely. I only give 4 stars because they needed to repair their equipment while on the job. Otherwise I would not hesitate to use them again.

They have been in business for 50 years. They are able to keep their costs down because the second-generation father and son do it all themselves.
