For sure frustrating, as I had arranged my appointments around when they were coming because I had to take a day off work. Things happen, I get it, they shared the reasons but offered zero solution on their side just forcing me to be the solution for them. IMO, if I'm paying for a service and the business has an issue, the customer shouldn't be the one finding a solution to their problem. Just a blind change of my appointment with no explanation until I called. No call or text asking if a time change would work. No offer to provide a discount, a complimentary service or any typo of solution from them for their issue when we spoke on the phone. Getting hung up on was not a great solution either. After I text I'd be sharing my experience via a review of them hanging up on me, they called back and said they are now sending someone out. By then, I had already shifted my schedule to accommodate their issue. I've used VIP many times before and for many years and given 5 star reviews but not sure if I will use them again. For me, if you as a business cause the issue for your customer, regardless of the reason, a business should have a solution for the customer who's paying for an hour long service (paying in my case more than two days pay for the service I was getting). Nick, the owner, was always great as were the other techs that helped us in the past. I like supporting a locally owned business but this was not good experience. Hopefully it's a one off experience but it was bad enough to lose a great deal of trust.

He discovered a slab leak and listed several options. He is probably one of the most "real one's" there are out there. He does not just come to do a job, but genuinely cares about each of his customers. He tries to establish a relationship with his customers by making it feel like he is taking care of a family member. He tries to get to know you and is willing to hold a conversation with you and hear you out. Plumbing issues can be very expensive and Stephen is sensitive to that. It is never a great time to get plumbing work done, but Stephen is there to talk with you, hear you out, and just be someone who genuinely cares about the customer. I will be using Jim and Son's for any plumbing needs in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone. I wish I remembered the name of the other plumber that helped him out during the job, but he was awesome as well. Again, he understood the importance of customer service and making sure that customers are left with a great experience in addition to getting the work done. 6/5 stars if I could.

That's when I searched for a local family owned company that Had good reviews. Jims was straight to the point. Stephen came out and methodically figured out what pipe the leak was coming from. He showed me proof and explained it to me. It was under the cement slab in our garage. I was not happy about the possibility of tearing out concrete. He suggested running the pipe above ground where it would be accessible. He rerouted the line and used materials that saved me money. Instead of taking several days, it was done by lunch. I cant say enough good things about these guys. They really helped me out of a scarey spot. I highly reccomend them. They are ethical, honest and don't waste time. I owe them my thanks.

Tenant reported garage disposal stop working so I immediately requested a fix the for owner. One…read morestop was prompt and since it 'FREE' estimate , I didn't think twice. Tech went as scheduled and told me he did a quick check at the unit and then to the electrical panel. And said now if he needs to go into diagnosis, it will cost $175 , and either he can fix it OR that $175 will be used to swap a new unit at $4xx. Since I'm remote, I can only agree to it to move forward. 10mins later, got a call from the tech saying, "there are good and bad news! Good news, the unit was indeed completely fine and it's working alright. The unit was slightly "UNPLUGGED" from the outlet and it works perfectly after I plugged it back in. Bad news, the $175 is due. " I appreciate that the "diagnosis" save me hundreds instead of replacing a fully working unit, but I would have thought the first free initial check should have looked at the connection in the first place. Definitely feel a bit rip off BUT they did give me a small discount in the end. I'm not expecting free work BUT $150 to get someone out to plug it back in? Is that the norm?
