This man is an honest smart hard worker! I called because my husband and I just purchased a new Rheem water heater and the manufacturer told us to call around local plumbers and see who has the part that was faulty on it and we can get reimbursed once they fix it. Called Hiniker on Monday to see if they could take a look at my two bathtub/showers due to constant drip age frok the faucets. I'm talking dripping occurring every 10 seconds and a significant amount of wasted water daily from both. The business was able to get me an appointment for the very next day (awesome) and even sent a text confirmation as well as the name of our technician. Matt. Matt was our technician. Nice guy who was on time. Parked well into our front yard and not in the driveway which im still kind of confused about? But since our yard is nothing to write home about, it was not something I chose to be mad about and instead found the humor in it. Matt was not a bad tech, when he got to work he was on task and fixed the problem. Two stars were removed for a few things: #1. Initially dismissed the drips as "normal" leaking even though it was not (for the past week I have been filling gallon containers up with the water) but said he would take a look at it if we wanted. ~ sure enough when he took apart the handles he said the washers etc practically fell apart in his hands which was the cause of the drip. The internet had already gave me the suspicion that that was the cause as well. #2. Not too clean. So dirt? Rust? I don't know what was left in the tub/shower after the repair. I don't understand why Matt didn't just take the shower hose attachment and, when testing the water for the drip, spray that gunk down the drain. It's not a big deal, just a minor detail, but I believe speaks a lot on tone of professionalism. #3. The price. Everyone on here states they are reasonably priced. After looking online/angies list etc, I had a ballpark idea on how much it may cost. Using the price comparisons this company charged on the high end. Matt gave the quote after determining that he need to replace the seat and spring washers, the handles and the stem. We agreed because even if we said no we would be out the $125 service call - but he said with the repairs he would waive that. I don't believe in sharing contractor prices as I know every job is different but to give a ballpark idea this was around 3 times that amount. Like I said I looked around and knew it could cost this much as it was on the high end. I'm more so upset with the receipt which states what occurred during the job but not how much the materials were. It leaves me the customer to guess that materials were maybe $100 bucks and the rest was the hourly rate of the technician?? He was there two hours but at one point had to leave to gets parts and then come back. All in all, I would hire this company again as the problem was fixed and in a timely fashion. The first time was to install a new toilet and they did such a great job that we decided to use them again to replace the shut-off valves for our washer and dryer because they were old and leaking. So I had a toilet that wouldn't flush, and what do you know, roots had grown into the toilet at the seal. And these were some exceptionally well grown roots, kind of looked like an raccoon or porcupine got stuck down there! Gary, the owner, got them out quickly and left the bathroom spotless after dislodging the rodent-like root creature, resealing the toilet, and killing the roots. Service was amazing. Fast, (Called today at 3:00, told them it wasn't even an emergency -- since I have another bathroom -- and he was here by 4:00 and done before 5:00), friendly, knowledgeable (He explained everything and showed me exactly what was the problem and what he would have to do, which I appreciated because I knew I wasn't being scammed or up-sold) and reasonably priced. Donell was our plumber today to remove our old drop in sink and add a new single compartment sink. He did an amazing job and was very kind when I asked him to add some more silicone around the sink just to be sure there were no areas for water to get in. He left the area clean and dry. We had a drain that was clogged midnight Sunday. I waited until 6 a.m. Monday to send a message and received a call by 7 a.m. inquiring on my needs. Set up an appointment for 11 a.m. At 11 Rick showed up. he was very polite and seen the problem he then took the time to explain what he was planning on doing. With in 30 minutes he had unloaded the gear from his truck ran the snake all the way to the sewer. Problem fixed.
