Well, I usually don't leave bad reviews unless it's absolutely necessary, but if you want good Indian food, I suggest you go to Bayleaf Other than the fact that I had a hair in my rice, let me list the problems that I had with my order It was cold and I paid 64$ to treat my family of 4 to good food. It was two orders of the butter goat.. they come with rice and each order feeds 2 people they said on the phone So each one should have had its own separate rice but it was one and although it was a little longer box it absolutely could not feed 4 people Also the meat was 90% bones.. I know butter goat has bones but my goodness this was just bones in soup and not even enough rice to at least enjoy the soup! Sorry I know there are some fans of this place and maybe it was just this one time incident but Regardless it was expensive and awful for me very unfortunate read more

My favorite Indian restaurant, ever. I've been coming here for over 10 years and absolutely love this spot. Raj and his staff are so friendly and helpful! Their paneer and chicken masalas are amazing, but you should order spicy as sometimes they really don't make it spicy. Their samosas are amazing but they very large and the crust is super thick. Super filling! I love their papadum as well, which they serve with 3 various dips/toppings. All their naans are fantastic. If you like garlic, you'll LOVE the garlic naan as it's super densely flavored with garlic. For desserts, the mango lassi is great to go so rich and filling, but I do love their gulab jamun and kheer as well. Inside it's spacious with bar seating, tables and booths. They often play Bollywood style music videos with great music on the tvs and sometimes live footage of baking the naan on another tv. Food is ok, portions are kind of small though. My only complaint is the service. I don't like having people talk down to me when trying to order and pick up my food. Chicken 65 is my favorite Indian dish. So much so that I make it at home, when I can find fresh curry leaves. Properly done the chicken is marinated overnight in yogurt blended with spices. The marinated chicken, tenderizes while absorbing the spice and moisture from the yogurt. It is then flash fried and coated with a spicy sauce. The result is delicious tender, moist, flavorful, spicy hot chicken chunks. Done properly it is a wonderful meal. Chicken 65 at R&R is none of that other than red and hot. R&R's version of chicken 65 is dry, tough, flavorless fried chicken chunks. The chicken is covered in a syrupy candy apple red sweet sauce, with strong flavors of chili powder. Eatable, but far from a properly prepared delicious Chicken 65. Looks pretty on the plate, but don't order the damn stuff. My wife had the Chicken Vindaloo, one of her favorites. She called R&R's a passable version of the dish, but lacking in the complexity of flavor that she expected. I tasted of it. It was heavy on the cardamon, overpowering the curry flavor. Spike's rating system. 2 stars means I wish I had gone somewhere else. Not recommended. read more

I have eaten many places that serve chicken tikka masala all over the US, but this place, hands down, is THE BEST. Not only is the chicken tender, extremely flavorful and perfectly cooked, the restaurant is very clean, tables are always shiny! The service here is excellent. The staff here is amazing. They're kind and attentive. The restaurant is in a hidden spot by the road, but you don't want to miss out on this tikka masala OR the butter chicken. My husband and I have eaten here over and over working in Ft.Smith and we crave this at least once a week. They also offer smaller portions of their food, which is perfect for lunch time. The food was pretty good. About average in taste a in price. I have tried Indian food from many places & it is my favorite type of food. At R &R, I ordered everything at medium spice. Chicken biryani was severely lacking in flavor at medium. Chicken tikka masala was okay, but I definitely wished there was more flavor. The only dish that seemed pretty standard in flavor at a medium spice level was the butter chicken, which I may go one level of spice up from next time. The naan was kind of chewy, undercooked and very greasy, but it wasn't the worst I've had. The gulab jamun dessert was an oddly thick and spongy texture compared to what I'm used to but the taste was okay. Unfortunately for the price, I am not sure I'd return again. I love and adore R&R, and they really went above and beyond this time. A lot of times I'll just get a whole bunch, and have leftovers and midnight snacks for DAYS. All time favorites: bengan lamb (a creamed eggplant delight with lamb), ginger soup (a warm and refreshing ginger bisque), Samosa Chaat (Affectionately referred to in our house as Indian biscuits and gravy, because it's the delightful stuffed pastries smothered in this incredible chickpea sauce). Today we added some other stuff on, and the all star hits were malai kofta (dumplings! Heavenly dumplings! Yes I did swoon) and gulab jamun (flash fried cream balls immersed in a sweet syrup- it's a mouth full of cavity but ohhhh what a bite). And we got a sweet hand written love note! Squeee! It is the only Indian restaurant in town. The butter chicken is tandoori chicken in a butter sauce! It's excellent and I have tried it several times. It comes with basmati rice and naan like most of their dinner dishes. We walked in about 40 minutes before closing which I hate to do but the reviews really made us choose to go ahead and go anyway. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and cheerful. I asked for their suggestion and our waitress suggested the vindaloo so I went ahead and ordered it hot with chicken. My husband had the chicken tikka masala (also hot) and we had plain and garlic naan. The vindaloo was absolutely fantastic. Seriously the flavor was out of this world. 10/10. This place is pretty freaking good! I ordered a mango lassi and a #14 with the mixed veggies and it came with a side of rice and naan. The lassi was very rich and thick which was a plus for me. Usually, I run through 2 of those by the time I finish my food but here I just needed the one. I also really enjoyed my mixed veggies and rice as well as the portion. My food was served hot and had a lot of flavor with the right amount of spice for me. The naan on the other hand was bleh. It was not bad but I wouldn't care to order the plain one as a side. To the right of the gas station there was the R & R Curry Express, I had to stop in for a quick lunch. The inside of the restaurant is decorated very festive. I was greeted and seating and told the specials of the day. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Marsala, it was served with basmati rice and naan bread. You can ordered your Marsala mild to extra spicy. My order came out sizzle hot, with large pieces of tender chicken breast in a very tasty Marsala sauce. The rice and freshly made naan bread was delicious. Just stopped here to grab a crispito because I have this weird thing where my body is like "hey, feed me" at least once a day, super annoying waste of time- and they were out so the man there was like "you should try a burrito- or we can make a crispito!" Wow! If you are in the fort smith area this is a must stop! From the beginning I was questioning, I mean it is attached to a gas station but never judge a book by its cover. Menu is very straight forward and lots of choices for all. Being vegan they have many choices for vegans plant based eaters also. Asked the waitress what I could order and she listed many items. The Samoa's were amazing, and the baingan bhurtha was great. While I was eating the owner came around to check on the tables, asked how the food was and explained to me that he can make just about anything vegan, and if he couldn't he would learn how to. Really a great place and I hope you take some time out to give it a shot. If you have never had Indian food, go in and let them know and ask for help.
