What a nice surprise! I just stopped in for gas, but it was lunchtime so I decided to try some food - fish curry and special Naan. Y'all, this stuff is the real deal. They even have a Tandori oven! I ordered two more dishes - chicken 65 and Tandori mixed grill - to take home and share. Mango Lassi was well-balanced and not overly sweet. The gal working was very helpful with recommendations and was very nice. Great experience! Check it out! read more

This was a gas stop along the 40 freeway heading towards Little Rock. There was a larger gas stop across the street but I picked this spot for my dogs. After gassing up, I asked to use the restrooms to fill up a dog bowl. The staff took my bowl and filled it up and returned it. This was very unexpected and good to note that hospitality does exist in this part of the country. read more

OMG that was good! We just grabbed the fish pakora and lamb samosa and they both were phenomenal! We were stuck in traffic pre-eclipse and grabbed food on a whim. I think we will plan the trip back through to grab some of the way back. read more

I was as hungry as a bear when I landed this indian food spot at a gas station in quaint little Mulberry, AR. It was last 8:00 PM when we showed up for dinner. There was a very sweet woman who asked us what we would like to eat. Being a majorly truckers stop, she mentioned the food that she was preparing. We ordered 2 baingan Bharta and 3 garlic naan for 2 people (told you was very hungry!). I was initially very surprised /thankful to have food a spot that served hot made to order food in this small town near i-40. Food took a bit to come out which assured me it was being prepared fresh since the dish required roasting of eggplants. When it finally came out, was pleased with the quantity, generously spread butter on naan. We started hogging over the food. I would say the Bharta could have been better. Overall, though would 100% be back if I am ever driving/living around. The staff was very friendly and the lady even came back to tell is their specials (parathas) and how people come all the time asking for them. It's a regular gas station stop so don't expect fancy seating. Come hungry and you'll get good home cooked food. read more

The food was simple and really good . Ordered daal tadka , paneer bhurji , naan and roti , all tasted really good .

We could not believe it when we saw a sign for 'India Restaurant' while driving through Arkansas on I-40. Checked Yelp and called to confirm that they really serve Indian food. It was past 2 pm and we were straving, so we showed up! It is in gas station, however there are plenty of tables to sit and eat. The buffet did not look very appetizing, and what can beat fresh made parathas? We ended up ordering aloo paratha, gobhi paratha, kadhi pakoda and tava roti. It felt like a long wait but that assured me food was being made fresh! When it arrived, I was really impressed. Parathas served with butter, dahi and pickles, just perfect! The curry was a little salty for my taste but otherwise everything was perfectly spiced! I wish we have such honest, home-made, simple food in Dallas! read more

Overpriced, my order came out over 80$ and I had to fight them for a side of white rice for my paneer masala. They told me veggie dishes do not come with a side of rice, if true, horrible practice. They burnt all the naans I ordered. Go somewhere else. read more

What a delicious find just off I-40! I was personally so sick of greasy American classics on our road trip that I was eager to try this place after seeing it on yelp. And the verdict? Well worth a visit, as hoped!! We got palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, and an order of naan, totalling about $25 after tax. All were very tasty, though a little on the salty side. The naan was a little thinner than we were used to--not in a bad way, just different. Overall, it was not the best Indian food I have ever had, but definitely high quality, especially considering the area. FYI: 1. Chicken tikka masala comes with rice; palak paneer does not. 2. The dishes come out super hot. I burned the roof of my mouth on my palak paneer but that is my own darn fault. 3. Pay up at the front when you are done. There are lots of gas station standbys such as drinks, snacks, etc that you can buy at the same time that you pay for your meal. 4. They also had some really good looking ready made fried chicken, mac and cheese, and other American food items Would absolutely come again the next time I am in town. read more

Kountry Xpress - Chicken tikka, palak paneer, naan, and rice - Indian Near Me - Mulberry, Arkansas

Great authentic Indian food. Chicken tikka masala, samosa, goat curry, garlic naan, with masala tea is a must try!

It's a gas station that has a real kitchen. Out of the kitchen comes genuine, high quality Indian food. Beats anything around here from an I-40 traveler perspective. - "Spicy" is mild, but all the food is great. read more

This is not going to make any sense, but this is one of the best places in Arkansas to get Indian food. It is homemade, so don't expect it to be fast. The flavors are fantastic and everything that I have gotten there has been great. My favorite is the classic chicken tikka masala. Order ahead if you are driving through on interstate 40. You won't regret it! read more

They have a new girl working the counter, can't pronounce any of the food, walks around the place with her phone blasting music in her back pocket.... obnoxious. Owner just standing around with a scowl on his face... he seems very rude. Food is good, but we won't be back. Fish pakora 5/5 Vegetable korma 3/5 (over cooked veggies that came straight from a bag) Butter chicken 4/5 (less bland that the chicken tikka masala, but still nothing to write home about) Not with the horrific service. read more

We love this place and hit this spot on our way home all the time between AR and OK! Hands down-- best Indian food we've ever eaten. Phenomenal India food and I've been twice to India for prolonged time frame. Never had a bad meal here

Stopped here because the Yelp reviews were convincing. They offer a lot of different menu items with lamb, chicken, and beef and different kinds of Naan. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken (spicy) with plain Naan. It was delicious, not as spicy as I expected, with about 10 chicken pieces (6 were legs) and bell peppers & onions. The vegetables were crispy-cooked and flavorful. I didn't realize it didn't come with rice or yogurt or I would have ordered them on the side. The Naan was perfect, though. I will definitely stop here again. read more

We stopped here because of the rating on yelp. On our way in to the restaurant a local was walking in. I asked him how the food was and he said the Indian food was excellent. We asked how the other food was (they serve American as well) and he said he didn't know because he never eats that only the Indian cuisine. So we said thank you and I tried the Indian food! Husband stuck with a cheeseburger which he said was excellent. I asked the owner what he would recommend and he steered me toward the butter chicken with medium spice, rice, and the garlic naan (flatbread). I'm here to tell you it was fantastic! So don't let the fact that it's a part of a convenience store scare you off!! It's wonderful! And if you don't know what to order he will help you! Wish we had something like this where we live! read more

Wow. It truly is a unsuspecting gem!! This is some of the best Indian food we've ever had and we love our Indian food. Yes, it's in a gas station but it's clean, the staff is super nice, the waiter/attendant kept our drinks filled, and we didn't have to wait for more than 20-30 minutes for our food. We will definitely return when we find ourselves close by! They also do catering and take out. Their aloo naan dipped in chicken masala gravy was my favorite!!! read more

Truly amazing Indian food in a truck stop. I had the Chicken Vindaloo and my wife had Paneer Korma, both outstanding! Horrible service. Wrong drinks, took forever to get drinks, even longer to order the food. Ordered our food only to be told they were out of it. Couldn't order anything else until the waitress got around to bringing back the menu. Ordered a second time and was again told they were out of it. I told them to bring me whatever they had. The waitress made a suggestion and guess what... they were out of that too. It turned out they only had two dishes. Every time a customer went to the counter the waitress disregarded the people at the tables. They need someone designated for the restaurant. As we finished up our meal, another couple came in and the waitress informed them of the buffet. What? Where was the buffet? It was hidden and we were never informed of it. That would have saved us a lot of time. When I went to pay at the register there was an Indian man (where was he the whole time our waitress was having to run back and forth?) checking out an Indian man and woman. Well, "checking out" wasn't what was happening. The two men were yelling at each other and telling each other to "get out". There were threats of physical violence on both sides of the counter. Really classy. The food wasn't bad but I think I'll find somewhere else to eat next time. read more

Unexpectedly delicious Indian food in a gas station hole in the wall at the Mulberry/Dyer exit.

This is truly a five star restaurant disguised as a gas station and convenience store and a place that serves southern food like fried chicken and other goodies! We were amazed to find it on the highway as a road stop in Arkansas, no offense intended. The real deal with Indian food. Delicious. Great chai tea. We liked it so much, we made a point to stop on our way back home to California. Equally as good as Indian restaurants I've eaten at in a big city with lots of competition. Enjoy! read more

My wife and I found this place while on a trip to Fort Smith. The signs on I-40 say "Indian Restaurant", which turns out to be this place, which is part of a truck stop style gas station a few hundred yards off the freeway. We were surprised to find it, but glad we did. We ate lunch there, and especially enjoyed the vegetable pakora and palak paneer. Amazingly full menu rivaling quality city restaurants we have enjoyed. You might be tempted to skip it, but don't judge this restaurant by its roadside setting. Very authentic Indian food in a totally unlikely location. We will be back. read more
