Absolutely outstanding! Best Indian I have ever tasted, and I have eaten at hundreds of East Indian restaurants from America to London. The tandoori was delicious, fresh hot, the naan (chili and regular was moist with a tiny crisp on the edges). The Saag Paneer wash wonderful, fresh not over spiced, Chicken Tikka Masala and the chutneys... good and fresh! The owners brother came out to check on us with a big smile. I complimented the food. He said he is very proud to not use frozen vegetables or even frozen naan. The atmosphere is beautiful, see the pictures. The patio was closed during our visit, but the restaurant overlooks the lake. Saffron is a place I frequent because of how great it is. It always smells excellent inside, great service, and a cute patio that overlooks the pond outside. I highly recommend Saffron, whether you're trying Indian food for the first time or a long time fan, this place is is sure to exceed expectations. Pictured in my post is the pashwarmi chole with white jasmine rice and a mix of onion and pepper. The onions and pepper is not something people typically order, but I find that it brings out the flavors of any Indian dish. Not pictured is the lentil soup which is also excellent. The food was excellent! We had the Butter Chicken and Chicken Vindaloo which had great flavor and wasn't overly spicy. The Garlic Naan was to die for. It was within walking distance from our hotel which was convenient and the pricing here was good. Servers were friendly and the food came out quickly. The reason for the mediocre review is as follows: I think they mostly do takeaway food because seating looked limited and although we were seated right away they could invest in some decent tables as they are using glass topped round patio tables. My biggest issue was that their bathroom was super nasty with a toilette seat that was busted and looked to have been so for a long time. It wasn't attached to the toilette at all. Common, go to the Home Depot and invest twelve bucks in a new toilette seat. All I'm saying is if your bathroom looks like this I have to wonder what the kitchen looks like. Went to Saffron while traveling to Bentonville for my wife's birthday. We were there on a Thursday and one of only 3 tables of customers but they had a pretty constant stream of take out orders. At first we were sat and left for a while but they came and got our order, which came out pretty quickly but our water was only filled once after the initial fill so that was disappointing. The food was hot and fresh though and delicious. The naan was so garlicky and soft. It was perfect for the butter chicken. The chicken in the noodles was a little dry and under seasoned but the noodles themselves were delicious. read more

The wife and I tried this place for a late lunch around 2pm. We were the only ones there at first, and we were seated quickly. It was surprisingly small inside, so I could see where it would fill up fast in peak hours. We ordered butter chicken and chicken vindaloo with garlic naan and cheese chili naan. About 30mins later, our food finally came out. It was worth the wait! This was some of the best Indian food I have had. I couldn't get enough of my chicken vindaloo. The spice was great heat and the naan accented it well. The wife loved her butter chicken and I even found myself dipping my naan in her butter chicken sauce after I finished off my vindaloo. I wish we didn't live 4hrs away so I could go more often. At $48 with tip, it was on par price wise with the other Indian places we have been. read more

When the buffet is utilized at Saffron, this turns into a very disappointing experience. This is not a negative review of the food, which was largely flavorful and within expectations. Still, the overall patron experience on a Sunday buffet setup leads to a big AVOID from me. I know that eating at a buffet post-2020 is generally taking your life into your own hands, but it's stark when you can observe the practices firsthand. Observations The worst part, so first stated: The patrons were very lax with using sanitary practices while at the buffet, including lots of plate reuse from table to buffet and one instance of a patron sampling just plated food with his hands and then using the same hand to grab the ladles down the line for more food. This all was aggravated by the restaurant running out of clean plates for 5-10 minutes. There was no plated table service on Sunday lunch, so it's buffet or nothing. If there was, it wasn't offered. You service yourself, including getting your own water cups, plates, and silverware. Water is on the table but not replenished. The staff was having difficulty keeping up with stocking the popular dishes, and naan. However, you could still fill your plate on a pass. read more

The food was excellent. First I got the Sichuan Lotus Root. Lotus Root is similar a potato but shaped like a pinwheel. They put Sichuan sauce on it and it's a bit spicy but so yummy. We also got the Baigan Saraf, which is Chinese eggplant along with pants and a lovely sauce that is yummy in rice or with naan. The eggplants was soft abs yummy and the sauce was nicely spiced without heat. My daughter also loved it. Then we had Bhindi Masala, this is an okra dish in a red sauce that I could eat all day. It's a vegan masala which I really liked also. And of course I got Naan. The naan was good. I couldn't eat all the food I got but I took it back to the hospice and we ate it all up. read more

They are always super friendly and their food is absolutely wonderful. My hubby is extremely picky when it comes to trying new places, especially when it comes to his favorite, butter chicken. I can 100% confirm it does not disappoint and he actually craves it! Their palak paneer, garlic naan, raita, and mango lassi are always on point and I can't get enough. Their restaurant looks cozy and comfortable as well and we will definitely try dine in soon since we always order pick up (I can't get refills on the lassi when we order pick up!) We have ordered dinner take out from here. Drove all the way from Springdale. This is the worst indian food we ever had. We ordered chilli chicken which is very bland, gobi Manchuria which is burnt. Both of them are very oily. For main course we ordered panneer biryani and goat biryani. Both of them are very watery at the bottom and each of them have 4 pieces each. Took an hour to get our food during lunch with 3 tables filled, and the chef came and told us "it's not a fast food restaurant" just to serve us mediocre food. We wanted to introduce the kids to Indian cuisine and choose Saffron. They loved it! We started with vegetable samosa then ordered buttered chicken, lamb vindaloo, tandoori chicken, and chicken tikka. We ordered too much, but everything was delicious. Above all else, the service was great. Everything came out warm and in a timely manner. Victoria was very attentive! I'm glad their first experience with Indian food was great. The best Indian food in NWA! We started with Samosas - hot and delicious. Lovely tamarind filling sauce. We moved onto classic butter chicken with basmati and naan. Also Onion Kulcha. I USE to love this place but recently the quality of food has dropped. Normally order Chicken Curry but now the curry taste water down, no flavor!!
