Exceptionally clean, full bar, clearly a place that can accommodate large groups. An amazing menu that is so lengthy they don't even have everything on there! We tried Dosas, a house specialty, and they were fantastic! We also tried their new butter chicken biryani which simply incorporates the best of all worlds into one dish! Lamb karma was outstanding and super tender. Garlic naan stands on its own. A wonderful restaurant and I would definitely come back here and get in a heartbeat. I went here for my sister's birthday this year and left stuffed, tipsy and satisfied! We wanted a place with spice and alcohol, and were happy to be able to walk in here. Everyone shared bottles of white wine, and enjoyed a large variety of the food. I really loved their dosas, paneer and butter chicken. They provided sauces in a wide variety of flavors and spice levels for us and plenty of naan. Service was quick and we were able to all mingle amongst each other as we were seated at the long table by the main entrance and the restaurant was not busy at all when we were there (it was a Sunday around 5-6pm). I found this style of Indian cooking really tasty and I imagine the rest of the menu reflects this. I would come here again and recommend this as a solid place for Indian food in NWA. read more

Unfortunately, they no longer have appam! The parotta is pretty good, but could be crispier. In any case, the mutton (goat?) curry I had was delicious, with very fresh spices and super tender meat. I did find it a bit monotone as a solo diner (such is the nature of these restaurants, at least when they don't have thali), and it was very salty--I was guzzling water the rest of the night. read more

First time dining here and while if someone said, we are going to Vira's I would probably be willing to go, but if I am out and about and wanting a meal it probably wouldn't be on my list. The food was good, the portions were decent and there are a lot of items to choose from. Some of the things that detracted from the dining experience were their choice of music. It was elevator music. Our server asked if we wanted desserts. We said yes. She said she would be back to take our order and we never saw her again. We sat there for about 10 - 15 minutes. Someone came out to bus tables. We had decided by now to get dessert somewhere else and asked him if we pay at the table or at the cash register. Delicious upscale Indian food with roots in Kerala. It's unlike the local Indian food you've tasted around town. This is not the typical luke warm buffet. This is fresh out of the kitchen, plated and spiced to perfection. Each dish is packed with spice, heat, and flavor. My favorites were the chicken mappas curry and the beef cutlets. I ordered some mint chutney to have with my cutlets and it added so much flavor. The chutney was blended nicely and not watered down. The only downfall is that they don't offer naan, but in its place you can get parotta which is light and flaky. Check out their weekend and holiday specials aside from their regular menu. This weekend they offered a seafood platter for two. Check in on Yelp for a free dessert when you spend $25+ The kitchen is shared with Joe's Italian Grill, so be sure you're getting the Viras menu when you're seated. It had been so long since I had great kerala food. I stumbled upon this restaurant on yelp and couldn't resist trying it out after seeing some of the photos. We called the restaurant and told them we were looking for something spicy and some dishes that were of kerala origin. The gentleman immediately recommended coconut fish curry and beef ularthiyathu. Both come with two parathas each. I will give everything 4.5 /5... the food was absolutely delicious. Parathas were just. Tad bit greasy. Beef could have been just a bit more spicy. We were very pleased with the service. The ambiance is mixed since many of their supplies are in the open, but it was very clean to our observations. I have been looking for a favorite Indian restaurant in town. Well, I just found it! Lovely atmosphere, friendly, patient staff and amazing food! I tried Unniyappam for an appetizer and had Beef Ularthiyathu for an entree, with Porotta. Everything was so good. I ordered medium spice and it was exactly right for me.
