Chola Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in Bentonville so far. I live near downtown and, IMO, there are too many restaurants in the area that are overpriced and prioritize aesthetic over food. After hearing good things about Chola Cafe, I came with two coworkers shortly after they reopened for dinner on a Saturday, and we ordered quite a spread: masala and mysore dosas, gobi manchurian, chettinad eggplant masala, and dal tadka. I was surprised that the restaurant was not very crowded, even though we arrived during peak dinner hours--which is not usually a good sign. False alarm: every dish was delicious, served piping hot, and all reasonably portioned and priced. My personal favorites were the eggplant, gobi manchurian, and the dosas--we definitely over-ordered, as we came to find out that the dosas are immense and probably the length of my arm. We were so engrossed in eating that it was only after we paid the bill and put our food into doggie bags that we realized all of the restaurant tables and booths were filled, and parties were lining up to be seated. This place is DELICIOUS!! I've been here twice now and had the butter chicken, tikka masala, and garlic naan and it's SO yummy!! It's always packed with people, and it seems pretty authentic. My friend was a little more adventurous and she tried the Pongal meal, which was served on a banana leaf and had lots of different things to try, and she loved it! Go try it!! read more

So where to begin, it's my last night of my trip and my buddy and I decided to get some Indian food and we come to this place, the interior looks like a prison and we were treated very indifferent. You also sit and read the menu then go up and order which is a bit odd. So our food came out and it was ok, the Naan bread was the best part of the meal. Well we ate and left and I got the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had in my life! This was the only thing I ate that day and I was sick within 4 hours. Good South Indian food. Taste and service was good. I felt they are more costlier and they also charge more if you pick up your meals

this is delicious southern Indian cuisine. If you've never had Indian food, start out with a butter chicken or biryani. For the more adventurous the Dahl and curry were my favorite. Remember, you have to order at the counter. If you have questions, just ask. I found the staff very helpful. read more

This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for my fie and I. The food was delicious and well-prepared. We both have "go-to" dishes we try first in a new restaurant to gauge the food quality against other restaurants of similar nature. The food at the Chola Cafe was so good, in fact, that we are now planning on going back to try different options on the menu. We tried Dosa (definite favorite), Butter Naan, Chicken Saag, and Lamb Curry (medium spice). All were very good. read more

Chola is our family's all time favorite Indian food! Everything is very fresh, flavorful, and authentic. We usually prefer to do take out, but they do a great job preventing spills and keeping the food hot. read more

My husband brought home the daily lunch special today and it was such a delicious variety of flavors! Our daughter enjoyed it too. I went to their Facebook page to see what everything was called and I'm assuming it was the Madurai Chili chicken that I found the most delicious. Wow I could have eaten a bunch of that. It was easily my favorite thing I've eaten out in a long, long time. If I could give this place 4.5 stars I would just because the menu is hard for us country folks who are adventurous but clueless when it comes to Indian Cuisine to know what in the world we are about to order. The person taking my husband's order was patient with his questions though and even pulled up some pictures to help out a first time customer. We will be back! The best butter chicken I've ever had. It was sweet, spicy, and so aromatic. I'm not a huge Indian fan but this butter chicken made me want to try other things here in the future! read more

Good South Indian food. The dosas were really good but the accompanying sambar and potato masala was just ok. The thali is huge and varied, great combination of popular items. Some orders take longer since they have a brisk to-go business going. Can get crowders on weekend. read more
