Chola Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in Bentonville so far. I live near downtown and, IMO,…read morethere are too many restaurants in the area that are overpriced and prioritize aesthetic over food. After hearing good things about Chola Cafe, I came with two coworkers shortly after they reopened for dinner on a Saturday, and we ordered quite a spread: masala and mysore dosas, gobi manchurian, chettinad eggplant masala, and dal tadka. I was surprised that the restaurant was not very crowded, even though we arrived during peak dinner hours--which is not usually a good sign. False alarm: every dish was delicious, served piping hot, and all reasonably portioned and priced. My personal favorites were the eggplant, gobi manchurian, and the dosas--we definitely over-ordered, as we came to find out that the dosas are immense and probably the length of my arm. We were so engrossed in eating that it was only after we paid the bill and put our food into doggie bags that we realized all of the restaurant tables and booths were filled, and parties were lining up to be seated. Clearly, we were not the only ones enjoying our meals! I'm looking forward to coming back. Also, shoutout to the very sweet waiter who ran out after me when I left my phone in the booth.

Would give 0 rating if possible…read more We recently visited Bawarchi Biryani and while the food itself was decent, the overall experience was extremely disappointing. After the dishes were served, no one came back to check on us even once. Our rice was cold, and we tried calling the staff multiple times but were completely ignored. At the end, we shared our experience with the person managing the counter and asked if they could offer a small discount considering the poor service. He said he would call the manager, and we waited for 10-15 minutes while he was on the phone. Eventually, he told us the manager said the biryani was "served fresh" and that nothing could be done. We told him it wasn't even biryani -- it was basically pulao -- and reminded him how unhappy we were with the service. Instead of acknowledging the issue or apologizing, he responded arrogantly and said it didn't matter if we left a bad review. His exact attitude was that even if they gave a discount, we would still leave a bad rating -- which wasn't true. It wasn't about the discount at all; we just wanted them to care about the customer experience. The complete lack of accountability and the arrogance of the staff made this one of the worst dining experiences I've had. If it were up to me, I wouldn't even give them one star. Terrible customer service, zero professionalism, and absolutely no regard for guests. Would not recommend.
