Yum, and then yum some more. My partner and I visited yesterday, and this place was everything I wanted and more. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table right away. I had been craving baba ghanoush and a good mezze plate, and Toot Beirut absolutely delivered. We ordered the combo plate, which included falafel that was crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside, served hot from the fryer. The baba ghanoush had that perfect smoky flavor, and the hummus reminded me why homemade is always better than store-bought. The grape leaves on a bed of labneh, warm fresh pita, and the garnish of arugula, pickles, and tomatoes brought everything together beautifully. We also had the manakish -- freshly baked bread with a Syrian cheese blend -- served warm and absolutely delicious. I could have eaten ten. To finish, we shared a lamb burger and fries. The fries were crispy, hot, and perfectly salted. The burger was cooked to perfection and topped with tzatziki, chopped onion, tomato, and jalapeño for just the right hint of spice. We ended with Turkish coffee, served piping hot, which brought back sweet memories of long conversations over hookah. The space was clean, welcoming, and filled with beautiful art. Really enjoyed this place! The atmosphere is nice, fairly small and cozy and the service was friendly. I was impressed by the menu, which included Mediterranean dishes that were both familiar to me and some that I have not encountered elsewhere. I definitely want to return to try more of them. I used the phone number available on both yelp and Google to get a busy signal over the course of two hours - And I went through the entire yelp led DoorDash pick up menu selection through the payment only to have multiple sources of payment I offered to come back as "something is wrong ". I've been wanting to try Toot Beirut for awhile. It didn't disappoint. My beef saj was delicious. My husband tried the beef bowl and said it was okay. The shawarma was yummy! Came in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a sampler platter and a beef Saj. It's tough to find good Mediterranean food in this area, but this place hit the spot. My favorite item was the baba ghanoush. It was tart and creamy. The hummus was unique in that it seemed to be whipped and not textured like hummus I've had before. Tables were not bused, very uncomfortable seating, closed extremely early on a holiday (father's day), they were out of several options far too early in the day, service seems to be less than on top of things and there is a wasp flying around the building. Choices were limited and they had no chicken... who runs out of chicken?? As for the food. The plates and silverware didn't exactly look clean, we had the grilled cheese for the kids; they wouldn't eat it! If you're gonna advertise grilled cheese, you need to make the kids aware that it is not typical cheese that they are used to! I have never seen a grilled cheese on any Mediterranean restaurant menu that wasn't actual grilled cheese for kids. I am not new to Mediterranean food or anything that falls under this type of food so I do know exactly what I'm talking about. The stuffed grape leaves, hummus, Falafels & baba ghanoush were very good! My husband said that his lamb burger was fine. It wasn't anything special but it wasn't bad. My plate was the lamb kebabs and they were pretty good as well. I'm going to give the atmosphere a 3 out of 5 I'm going to give the service a 3.5 (the lady that served us was very nice but a little out of sorts it seemed) I'm going to give the food 3.8 the presentation was nice but I suspected dishes were not 100% well cleaned! I don't think there is another place in NWA that can compare to Toot Beirut. For context, we ordered the falafel sandwich, the beef Arabi shawarma, and for dessert we ordered knafeh. 10/10 would order again. Indoors is quite inviting; lots of natural light with pretty views of greenery. The kitchen has an open context so guests can see the cooking process. When I walked to my table it was dirty there wasn't a clean table I had to ask someone to clean the table and there was ants on the table and floor the service was horrible and the waitress was rude. It took 45 mins for someone to come and take our order. I went to the ladies room it smelled horrible like feet and I was afraid to sit on the toilet and there was sanitary dirty napkins over flowing the trash can. The service was a bit weird, in that they had table service, but we had to pay in advance, which was frankly very awkward and a bit off putting. I would understand if this was counter service, but it's not. They also charged an extra 5% if you were paying by card, which I found excessive. The food was 5 stars, but I'm withholding a star due to the aforementioned ordering/paying/card fee stuff. The ambiance is very casual, definitely more of a daytime lunch place vibe.
