Mom and I had high hopes for this restaurant since it was another of Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives" stops. Was the food great? No. Was it good? Yes. Wait time for food was at least half an hour if not longer. And while it was crowded, people were leaving after about 10 minutes waiting for a table. To top it off, they didn't have lamb kebabs, nor did they have fried kibbeh--both items Mom was looking forward to eating; she decided on the lamb burger which had flatbread that she said was a little tough, but took forever!! Good, but not great and she said she wouldn't come back--I doubt I would either for that matter. I got the [vegan] sampler. My favorite thing was the baba ganouj. The stuffed grape leaves were mushy. The falafels were crispy and tasted good. We also got a side of pickled turnips & cucumber. Pretty tasty but uber salty. Once our order was taken and then eventually served (just about an hour after being seated), our server never came to check on us--isn't it nice that we paid our bill and tipped in advance because it was busy?! Five star experience here! I can see why Guy Fieri picked this place for an episode that will air soon. We arrived at about 1pm on a Saturday. The restaurant was non stop busy but the service was fantastic. I ordered a lemon mint drink; it was perfectly refreshing on a hot summer day. We had the cheese manakish as an appetizer. I love Georgian khatchapuri, and this was like a smaller, lighter version, full of cheesy goodness. My husband had the kebab halabi and loved it, while I enjoyed the chicken pita. Immediately after we finished, a server came for our plates. When we said we were done, he promptly grabbed the mobile pay unit, so we were able to quickly carry on with our day. Yes, Guy Fieri featured/visited the restaurant and it's local so we wanted to try it. We also like the style of food. But this was my only visit. My chicken was hard and dried out and lacked flavor. The relish dish ended up my favorite, but once I saw the guy in the prep area (with gloved hand) on putting relish into a bowl, and then sometime later, returning that bowl full of items BACK into the fresh prep area bowls with his bare hand, I'm out. Service was lacking in the mostly empty restaurant from the three guys working until a woman showed up. She was more organized and attentive. The cleanliness of the restaurant was also a concern- dirt and a used rubber food prep glove under the cases in full view of the dining room. Other diners seem disappointed based on their comments and the food left on their plates. Too bad - has potential. read more

The service is really bad. I have had to ask twice to be waited on. Then the server asked me if I knew what I wanted. After sitting this long, of course I knew what I wanted. I like the food at this place, but the service is not good. The server looked at me a number of times and decided to ignore me. He could have made it a much better experience if he had just said that he would get to me as soon as he could. read more

Really enjoyed this place! The atmosphere is nice, fairly small and cozy and the service was friendly. I was impressed by the menu, which included Mediterranean dishes that were both familiar to me and some that I have not encountered elsewhere. I definitely want to return to try more of them. I went with the lamb burger and loved it. Great flavor with simple ingredients. The fries were good and cooked well also. I also had to try their baklava, which was divine. We understood there would be a wait since Toot Beirut had just been featured on TV, and waiting 25 minutes wasn't a problem. But after a table opened, it sat empty for another 10 minutes before being cleaned, followed by another 5 minutes before we were seated. We then sat for another 10 minutes without anyone taking our drink order--about an hour total. At that point, we decided to leave. As we were walking out, we explained why to a waitress, who apologized and told us we should have been informed when we arrived that they wouldn't even be able to take orders for another 30 minutes. Nobody told us that. Had we known, we could have decided whether the wait was worth it. Unfortunately, we also witnessed something concerning while we were waiting: a server sprayed cleaning chemicals and then picked up food and licked his fingers. The chef immediately yelled at him to wash his hands, but from what we could see, he did not thoroughly wash them before returning to work. We completely understand being extremely busy after appearing on TV, and we were willing to wait. What was frustrating was the lack of communication and, more importantly, what appeared to be a serious food-safety issue. A simple heads-up about the wait and proper attention to food handling would have made a huge difference. read more

Yesterday we walked in to your restaurant for the first time and were greeted by our server Sophie and Chef Khaled. We were seated and ordered traditional Middle Eastern food. Its been 3 years since we moved to Pea Ridge Arkansas. Quite a journey to find your restaurant. All the bells and whistles rang while enjoying lunch. First, I'm going to be VERY CRITICAL ON THE BACK END OF THIS REVIEW. Now for the great. About a month ago we tried this restaurant for the first time,e and decided to try something we've never had, the Lahm B'ajin. HOLY COW, what an amazing dish. The perfect amount of food, not a big meal and perfection of flavors. We both had this dish and loved it. They were out of the drink I wanted to try, the Lemon Mint, and we both had water. Recently, Toot Beirut was featured on an episode of Guy Fieri's Diners Drive Ins & Dives and now we know why. I cannot say enough about this dish we had. So simple but an explosion of flavors when you first taste it and each bite afterwards. We both noticed that the service was not the best, but more about this soon. Last night we chose to go have this dish again. They were busy when we arrived and no one was at the door greeting guests as they arrived. After some time the couple in front of us was finally seated and soon after we finally were. The restaurant was again busy and it took some time for someone to take our drink order. Then we ordered our food and the waitress left the portable POS machine for us on the table for us to go ahead and pay. We had noticed a sign about this at the front counter and thought it to be odd. Then it asked if we would like to add a tip to the order. Why would you want to tip a waitress when they haven't done anything for you yet? As we looked around, we noticed that there was no one on the sales floor and there was eight people in the kitchen area with three doing the cooking and the other five watching them cook. Eventually, a different waitress brought us our drinks, I got the Lemon Mint this time, AMAZING AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND, and I noticed this young lady didn't have a bra on and it was not a pleasant sight. Then eventually a couple people came out and started walking around with food looking for the correct table to set the food on, they use small numbers that is handed out to use to each customer. The employees were lost each time they came out and struggled each time finding the correct table. And then again they would go back and stand and watch the cooks and wait instead of concentrating new customers on the front door, the customers at tables that needed another drink or had questions, or needed to go boxes. Where was the floor manager ensuring great customer service? C'mon, fix the service issues and get someone managing the store. This food is OUTSTANDING and we WILL go back again and again, but Customer Service issues will put this place out of business if not taken seriously. Servers seemed confused and environment was chaotic. Took a really long time to get food then each item came out about five minutes apart. One item never came out until the third worker finally got the kitchen to make it so another 5-10 minute wait. Yum, and then yum some more. My partner and I visited yesterday, and this place was everything I wanted and more. We were greeted with a smile and shown to our table right away. I had been craving baba ghanoush and a good mezze plate, and Toot Beirut absolutely delivered. We ordered the combo plate, which included falafel that was crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside, served hot from the fryer. The baba ghanoush had that perfect smoky flavor, and the hummus reminded me why homemade is always better than store-bought. The grape leaves on a bed of labneh, warm fresh pita, and the garnish of arugula, pickles, and tomatoes brought everything together beautifully. We also had the manakish -- freshly baked bread with a Syrian cheese blend -- served warm and absolutely delicious. I could have eaten ten. To finish, we shared a lamb burger and fries. The fries were crispy, hot, and perfectly salted. The burger was cooked to perfection and topped with tzatziki, chopped onion, tomato, and jalapeño for just the right hint of spice. We ended with Turkish coffee, served piping hot, which brought back sweet memories of long conversations over hookah. The space was clean, welcoming, and filled with beautiful art. It is nicely done, the space is a little chopped up and they have outdoor seating. Take a menu from the counter and sit at a table to order. I order both the beef and chicken Arabi Shawarma to try both. It was a lot more food than I expected, I took enough home for 3 more meals. I really liked both of these, chicken was my favorite. My favorite item was the baba ghanoush. It was tart and creamy. The hummus was unique in that it seemed to be whipped and not textured like hummus I've had before.
