We were really excited to try this restaurant from its reviews. We were so disappointed. First, they were not busy at all and the space was decent It seemed clean. However, when they brought us plates, the guy picked something off of the top plate after setting them on the table and there was a fingerprint on one side. There was a chunk of something white on my fork as well. They were pleasant to begin with. Never rude but not helpful. We tried to order two items on the menu and were told that they didn't have it. They then said there were additional items unavailable. I ordered the chicken shawarma and my husband the butter chicken. The chicken in the shawarma was so salty that I couldn't eat it and his rice was extremely dry and stale tasting. He then went to the bar to order a plain naan and cheese naan to try to help with the issues. The server came back over to the table and said, "garlic naan and cheese naan?", and we corrected her. She said, "okay plain and cheese". The plain naan came out with garlic butter. We asked the server about it and she asserted it was plain, saying, "plain naan still comes with butter." We said it tasted like garlic. She said no that's plain. She never came to check on us at any point during our meal and it seemed like we were bothering her. I finally had to ask for water for my near empty glass and she finished clearing a table and brought it five minutes later. Then we asked for boxes and the check. It felt wrong to leave so much food. She brought the boxes and stood there while we began putting our leftovers in. I had a plate in one hand and the box in the other, and she said, "I'm ready for your card". She didn't offer to take the plate or help with anything. I gave her the card and paid, and she left going to another table to take their order. Afterwards when we got our receipt, she had in fact placed an order for garlic naan, not the plain naan, and then tried to convince us it was plain. Thankfully we're from out of town and have several wonderful Indian and Mediterranean restaurants in our area. Will never return.

This place single-handedly changed my opinion on the state of Arkansas LOL!…read more There are places that you eat at and it's one and done; there are places to revisit time and time because you crave it; but Nara? Seeing the pictures alone made me crave something I've never had before, and going there was absolutely phenomenal. I got the loaded lamb roll with fries and my partner the coco mix. We shared hummus and pita. My roll was packed with lamb with white sauce and cheese saucing up the already well seasoned lamb--lettuce and tomato broke the richness of the meat. I dipped my fries in the amazing hummus, so creamy and smooth with some quality olive oil on top. My partner's rice had chicken and lamb meat that was insanely tender and flavorful, the rice complimenting it with its spices. The coco mix comes with a variety of proteins to try from if you want a little of everything! The falafel in it was so crunchy yet soft inside. The cashier was super helpful wirh his recommendations and made sure we were comfy. I appreciate the variety of drinks he offered as well, giving customers options and his personal input! While I do agree with some reviews that the wait can be long, the anticipation is so worth it. I'd never expect such a great restaurant in a small city on the outskirts of Arkansas, but I will be revisiting just for a taste of Nara.

Always classic and the best of all Mediterranean food in northwest Arkansas!!…read more I used to wonder how they made it with such limited hours & space, after eating here regularly for years don't wonder! . The humus has a tiny kick, or something on plate did,- The sampler with a little of everything was divine... falafels cooked to perfection one of us had the chicken, spiced perfectly! They are kind efficient, and you can feel the love and heart of the Cook in the food.

I have no idea who all these people are that are leaving positive reviews, but they have to be friends, family, or paid reviewers. That was the worst middle eastern food I have ever had. How do you screw up a bowl of beans? How can hummus be so bland? I could not finish the food, AND I WILL EAT ANYTHING. That food was worse than gas station food!! The servers were extremely nice and courteous. The environment was very clean. It was in a neat part of town. I KNOW you can make better food than that! When I left all I could taste was bitter, bland, and disappointment. No, you should not go there until they improve.

Little off putting to have to eat with this in your face. Be different in my eyes if it wasn't an employee's cup.

I came to Hot Springs just a little over two years ago to scatter some of my mom's ashes. Hadn't…read morebeen here since I was 12 and was in the process of trying to lose some weight and not eat so many fried foods. I wanted something fresh clean and healthy and that's exactly what I got when I went to the GOAT. It's located in the strip mall near Chick-fil-A but nearly halfway in between there and Lowe's (it's on the right if you come off Central). There's plenty of free parking, and as you enter, it's dark and intimate sort of like a sports bar but nicer. They have a great bar with full offerings; not only beer and wine but hard alcohol too, and I guarantee you'll never leave here hungry. They have a wide range of Mediterranean foods, as well as some great additional offerings, but to narrow it down to probably my top five or six items, you absolutely can never go wrong with the chicken Shawarma - or beef for that matter, all of their appetizers are fantastic, their seafood is fresh and delicious, the lamb is to die for, and for those nights when you're just not feeling real great, but you need to put something healthy in your tummy, go for that Greek salad with the lemon and rice soup called Avgolemono combo. It will cure whatever ails you (colds, moles, and sore backside holes) The best part though is the hospitality, the service is second to none. I walked in here after having offered on a home and celebrated the acceptance on the house and had phenomenal salmon. Then I came back a month later and still had about a week to kill before escrow closed. I was staying in a hotel and that's when I pretty much went through their entire menu. It was so good So if you're looking for something healthy, delicious and served with the smile, check out the GOAT Mediterranean restaurant. And if you're not into Mediterranean, check out their new Italian restaurant downtown called Little Italy.

The baba ganoush was also amazing. There was only a slight mishap where our order of wings was missed (and subsequently, rushed) and it came out frozen and uncooked.
